Hello everyone, and welcome to...

Pokeheroes Oscars 2023!!!

This event has been long in the making, and what a road it has been. Tonights nominees have been working hard to write, draw, and vibe, all without even knowing they were gonna be eligible for an award. So kick back, relax, and get ready to cheer on your favorite people! Without further ado, Daiko, will you introduce our first category?

⋅☾ㅤBest Story [RP]ㅤ☽⋅

═════════════════════

Hello hello! I'm happy to announce the lovely nominees, and the ✨chosen one✨ of course, of the Best RolePlay Story on Pokeheroes dot com, a site chock full of fantastic stories and ideas for many to enjoy.

Now, as you may or may not, shout-out to you naturally talented folk have experienced yourself, it's not easy to formulate ideas and come up with creative stories. Obviously it takes time, effort, and... skill? I'm not exactly sure what you would call it, but let's just go with that. Anyways, the point is that I, like a lot of others I'm sure, applaud these roleplayers and their specific roleplays for their creativity and exciting plots that I'm sure everyone involved enjoyed. I could even call them "Oscar"-worthy, if you catch my drift.

The roleplays in question?

Those Who Carried On by ~Shepherd~ and the cast
The Land of Three Suns by JustCath and the cast
Great Mother in the Sky: No Love in the House of God by ~Shepherd~ and the cast
Fate of the Fields of Mercy by moai and the cast

Now, can we get a drumroll please...

The winner is...

Those Who Carried On!

Award:

Congratulations for being the best roleplay story this year, and I gotta say, it was pretty fantastic. Not gonna lie, we had some pretty good stories this year considering how... inactive the roleplay community of this site has been. Hope to see more like it in the future!

Heyo~ This is the good ol’ April here with the pleasure of announcing a few sections of this year's PH Oscars! These past years have been tough, but roleplays have always been an active part of this site. We all have our own shares of roleplays that we have been in, but let’s admit it. Those with mouth dropping amounts of worldbuilding just hit different y’know?
~*~
Roleplayers with such keen eyes to details are not only rare to find, but even rarer when grouped together in one roleplay. But with the passing of the seasons, in PH, it has become possible that we are able to have such exciting experiences come to life! But then here comes the question.. Which one of these roleplays have the best, the most exciting, the most jaw dropping world buildings out of all? Only one can find out! You voters, have nominated: ’Those Who Carried On’, ’Great Mother in the Sky: No Love in the House of God’, ’Final Flare’, and finally, ’When the World Needs You’ for being one of the best roleplays that had done an amazing job on world buildings! (honestly, they all seem pretty damn good to me-)
~*~
But when you know some of the best out there, it is inevitable that you wonder, ‘Which one is the best?’ Well we’re here to tell you the results of our voting today! (yes your voting, not mine cause I can't choose for the love of god TT)
~*~

Now may you all drumroll please..!

Congrats to: Great Mother in the Sky: No Love in the House of God for winning our love, sweat, tears, and motivation (at least mine), and before finally winning the award of
[Best World Building RP] of the year!

~*~
With over 3k post (which honestly still surprises me to this day), being on the most active topics board for over more days than I could possibly remember, it is only natural that it gets the recognition it deserves, starting with this award! As a fellow roleplayer, this makes me proud (yet scared) of knowing these extremely motivated people who decided to abandon the urge to touch grass and live a life, and instead create this masterpiece, so congratulations to you all as well and keep up the good work! :D

The Ultimate Vengeance.
Haven of Beasts.
Below The Clouds.
Kingdom of Aeraya.
The Kingdoms Three.

All roleplays listed were once nominated for "Best Roleplay". Each one uniquely different from the last. Each one with the story, cast, and creator to help push it to the finish line. Tonight however, one roleplay will join the likes of The Viper Pit and APL as "Best Roleplay" recipients. Those roleplays are:

Great Mother in the Sky

The Land of Ayerial

Those Who Carried On

And the recipient is...

Those Who Carried On

I first started roleplaying in 2019. Creative writing has always been a way for me to cope with the world around me. In that roleplay I joined, I was surrounded by veterans of roleplaying and newbies alike. Some of those people were close friends of mine but most have since left PH. However the memories of them will be with me forever. The memories of the fun I had with them collaborating, building characters, getting into arguements about actions, all of those things will be with me forever. Those memories also include getting to roleplay with each of the nominees tonight.

Each one of them is without a doubt some of the best roleplayers to ever grace this lowly site and its frankly a shame that some of their best work is confinded to the walls of Pokeheroes. Basically what I am trying to say here is congratulations guys. I'm so proud of all of you.

Now before I announce this years "Roleplayer" I want you all to make a promise to me. Continue to go beyond the realm of possiblity. Continue to create memories together that will last forever. Continue to make me proud. This years nominees are:

AthenaHere

Daiko

ItsKendo

Serendibite

And this years recipient of the Oscar is

Woo! But we aren’t done yet! This is still the beginning! We still have 2 more to go! (at least for me to do :’)) Next up we have the [Best Scene RP]! As hard as it was to find the roleplay with the best worldbuilding, it is even harder to find the best scene within a roleplay that has over a hundred pages worth of different scenes and dramatic dialog that even Shakespeare would bow down to! It’s even harder than finding a small needle in a haystack!
~*~
But thanks to you voters out there, we are able to find someone who we can proudly say are gladly award-worthy, with their unique writing skills and emotional yet dramatic narrative, they can easily shine through a pile of text longer than my computer screen! Which I must say, deserves an award just my itself.. XD
~*~
ANYWAYS!
May we give a round of applause to…!

alexiis and her character 👁️Idris Kallikrates in this scene in the Danganronpa Roleplay [Private]! So congratulations to alexiis on winning the award for having the [Best Scene RP] of the year!

Everyone else though… get better :)
Cause this won't be the last time! So until next year, congrats to alexiis!

~*~
Woo! This is your unfortunate friend April here again one last time, with my last announcement! It has been a fun time y’all, but before I get sentimental, let's get this thing over with!
~*~
Unlike before, this one isn’t about a roleplay, but rather a fanfic, written by one person only! This is much different from a roleplay, where a group of mortals refuse to step outside and touch grass and instead create a wonderful story together, but rather a single human being, who despite the loneliness of working alone, has created their own masterpiece! With their descriptive and entertaining journal styled entries, and their just adorable narrative. You voters have chosen this person, as the grand winner of having the [Best Worldbuilding FF] in this year's PH Oscars!
~*~
May we give a happy round of applause to..!
IgnisCarmelita and their wonderful, and enjoyable journal entries of: Recovered Diary of a Snail Keeper for winning the award of having the [Best Worldbuilding FF] of the year in PH Oscars! It is an enjoyable short read, so please on your way out, check it out as well! :D
~*~
Anyways, it has been an enjoyable time working with this team, but my job here is done! But, don’t stop reading, there is so much more after this! So I hope everyone enjoys it!

⋅☾ㅤBest Scene [ FF ]ㅤ☽⋅

═════════════════════

Now, onto the Best Fanfic Scene on Pokeheroes dot com. Admittedly, there was only one nomination for this category, but that doesn't mean this particular one was any better or any worse in terms of quality and creativity. This scene was still fantastic and is definitely "Oscar"-worthy, even without any competition.

Anyways, I bet I could speak for most writers when I say that writing fanfictions, or even writing in general, is no easy task. Consistently writing good scenes, characters, plots, or even settings takes a lot of work and thought put into it. Again, like with the roleplays, I'm sure many of us can applaud the work and the person behind it. That being said, the winner of the Best FanFic Scene on Pokeheroes dot com is...

Alternate Ending!

Award:

This wonderful fanfic, written by TheFruityBanter, is certainly a good one. It puts a twist on an already good scene from the original Danganronpa: Game of Wits, which I'd say is a pretty difficult task itself. Congratulations, can't wait to see what you write in the future! Or perhaps... If anyone is inspired to write something of your own... 👀

Thank you so much! I'd say I'm not sure I deserve it, but I guess with no competition it's sorta an automatic thing. Regardless, thank you! I plan on being here next year :P

Best Adapted Story

Hello there, CrystalBorf here! Fanfics are abundant in nature, and sometimes are really long. How do you keep people hooked on fanfic? Why, the ability to adapt of course!

Believe it or not, we had not one, but two winners who tied!

Without further ado, here are the winners :D

Naruto Rewritten by TheFruityBanter and Anachronistic Diary by ~Waveshaper~!

These stories have kept us hooked, and we’re all eagerly waiting for more chapters to be posted (take your time. Writer’s block is and can be a pain.)

There are other fanfics that didn’t win, but that doesn’t mean they’re not well adapted. Don’t let not winning discourage you from writing more. Remember, at least one person who’s viewed your fic has subscribed to yours for more. Do it for them :)

The other nominees, The Aftermath and Under The Moon's Light, were also well adapted :)

Best OG Story

Fanfics aren’t always about a specific fandom. Sometimes it’s an entire universe of its own, or a collection of short stories. From space cats to a literal skeleton mafia, it exists! trust me on the skeleton mafia, I’m pretty sure it exists.

We had one winner for this category, and the writing and plot are very enjoyable.

A Wolf’s Library by Hunterz~Wolf!

Personally, I loved these short stories. Whether or not there will be more, we don’t know, but they are all certainly well received.

That’s not to say the others aren’t the Best OG Story. Everyone’s fanfic(s) are great, so all you writers keep writing to your heart's contents! (But also do things outside of writing, like enjoying a tv show, or simply enjoying the outdoors. Healthy life = positive vibes)

The other nominees have great stories, too. Be sure to read Diary of a Snail Keeper, T0WER, and Memories of Ghosts.

Ever wanted to see Pikachu electrocute Kaminari? Ever wanted to see Dr. Doofenshmirtz meet Dr. Stone? Well that’s where our fan artists come in! They will draw whatever they wanna see their characters do, either because the creators never would, or because they’re too scared to. Our site is full of these heathens and artists (not mutually exclusive), but only one can win the award for Best Fanart. Our nominees are as follows: StormyNight, Aerie, CommanderVenus, and CrayonShark. Which of our nominees adapted their character best?

Without further ado, our winner, with almost 50% of the vote, is…
Aerie

This piece makes wonderful use of dark themes, and is a beautiful piece all around. This biblically accurate Hatterene is definitely deserving of this award, so congratulations.
