She had crossed her arms and began to stare at Cath for a bit, that is until she asked yet another question. This time, it was directed to her.

"Just... go out the way you came in, I guess..." Her arm unfastened itself from the other and pointed in the direction where Neo, Athena, and Nox were. There was an opening that showed what was going on in the real world, almost like a window, which Mei and Cath could escape this realm from. She wanted out of here as well... Little did she know that Cath would probably be bombarding her with questions, maybe even personal ones.

A small and slightly annoyed sigh left Mei's mouth as she moved over to said opening, gesturing for the other woman to follow. She stuck her head, as well as part of her torso, out of the wall and looked over at the trio, giving them a mischievous grin. "So, whatcha guys doin'? Goin' off without your little nerd friend?" A giggle followed after the remark, and Mei disappeared back into the shadows once more.

Her head immediately turned to face Cath, a stern, and honestly terrifying, expression meeting her gaze. "Tell anyone about this, and you and whoever you told is dead. I shouldn't even be telling you this stuff in the first place..." She grumbled, sighing once again and turning away.

Calico closes his eyes for a bit (Yes confirmation that Calico is male) and tries slashing at the real Sobble. "Hah, very smart aren't you."

Cath tested the exit, and found she was able to pass through the window. She turned back to Mei.

"I won't tell anyone. I swear." She turned back. "Are you coming, Mei? I... We could use another person on the journey." She still didn't trust her, but they had an understanding now.

Nox, Neo, Athena... all of them could use help, even if they didn't want to ask for it. ~~Plus, she had so many more questions...~~

It was never meant to be.

Mei contemplated the request for a moment or two before following Cath. "Yeah yeah, I guess... Don't get all sappy on me..." Truth be told, she was so glad to get out of there. It was getting to her and she was sick of it. Sure, she was grumbling while she spoke, and seemed extremely reluctant to leave, but she had an act to put on. Nothing interesting happened in there, and she had to make it believable. "Don't throw my name around like that either, good grief..."

As soon as she stepped out, her usual demeanor returned and she gave an exaggerated wave to the three people in front of her. "What, you're not gonna welcome us back? How rude..." She pouted, giving them a big frown. Mei threw her leg forward and then her other leg, walking closer to where Neo, Athena, and Nox were. "Sooooo... Where to?"

"That was... unexpected. As to where we are going, I don't have a clear idea yet. In fact, if anyone would want to enlighten me on our mission, that would be very helpful as well." Athena's eyes narrowed at Mei. She still looked familiar... But she couldn't quite place it. A distant memory far our of reach. Like she had only glanced at Mei somewhere.

Nox's eyes widen when she sees Liliac, and Cath, step out of the wall and into the dining room. She glances between Liliac and Cath, wondering if somehow Cath had an ability like Liliac. But from what she had seen, she doubted it.

Whatever, this isn't important. We need to get moving. Now! Nox smoothly stands up and glances towards Liliac. "So you'll be joining us?" Nox asks. Good, I have questions for you. "To answer your question, our best bet would be to find a new Resistance base... But any shelter would do. Out there, we are going to be out in the open. It's going to be dangerous. I hope you are all ready for it" there was a serious look in Nox's eyes as she gazes at everyone. "Heh... Who am I kidding. You guys will be okay."

The same, puppy-dog energy returns when Belphi almost awakens. Aster opens his mouth, ready to demand that they get moving, until the demon falls back asleep. He frowns, glancing at Grimm with a 'what now' look.

He pauses, sniffing the air. Desperately trying to track his prey. If what he smelling was it, his prey was far. It would be a pain to track if they moved, but then again, what would be the fun of it being easy? "We have time" Aster says while sitting on the ground. "Grimm, once Belphi awakes, we are going to hunt some pesky humans. Will you join us?" He asks.

Meanwhile he pokes Belphi's shoulder, then shrinks back, not wanting to risk facing the other demon's wrath.

"Whoop!" Sobble tosses his staff into the sky, jumps into the sky near his staff and kicks it towards Calico. "Now let's see you dodge that!"

Swinging from the grip like a ragdoll, Belphi yawned, cracking a red eye open, no weird black possession lingering within those sleepy eyes. Merping like a cat, he went right back to sleep looking for all intents and purposes to actually look more content to be sleeping upside-down. Honestly half of the reason why he was so sleepy was that dealing with others was just such a hassel, sleeping was just... easier.

Athena glanced at Cath and Neo. She was sure they suspected conspiracy among the Resistance as well. From the looks of things, they hadn't told the rest yet. Was it safe to tell Nox? It had shocked her to a certain degree that the organization she had trusted, helped, had betrayed her.

"Listen up, young chaotics. Here is the true purpose of our mission." She paused and looked around at the four of them.

"Once I heard rumors of Neo's return, I did a little... research project... into the depths of the resistance. So many skeletons in the closet... I have compiled so much evidence of the resistance being mismanaged. But I eventually realized that there was a mole, someone who had made a deal with the demons. I let a drone called N-30 loose. It will track and recognize every suspected resistance member that could be involved in a demon subversion conspiracy."

She grabbed her bow, and grimaced. "Our job is to kill demons, kill traitorous resistance members, and find a way to defeat the demons once and for all." If only the dragons were still alive... Somewhere...

It was never meant to be.

Slinging her pack over her shoulder, she let out a shrill whistle. Cerberus jumped up immediately, and followed her, scampering towards the door. Everything was in order, she was ready. Setting her hand on the doorframe one last time, she smiled briefly. Memories...

"Come on, we need to leave. I want to blow this place up to throw the demons off our trail. Nuclear residue messes with their senses, anyway."

Mei glanced over at Nox once she spoke, clasping her hands together behind her back as she teetered back and forth on her heels and toes. "Mayyyyybee, maybe not!" Her smile was wide and her giggle was short, but no matter how hard she tried to put up this persona, there was a small tear in her disguise. Eh, they wouldn't notice anyways, right?

"Resistance? Sounds dumb... what idiot would join something like that, if it's like what the kid and edge-lord said?" She paused, thinking for a moment after the whole "killing" thing was mentioned. "Well that changes things, why didn't you say that sooner..." Mei grumbled. She ignored Neo for the time being, and instead got giddy as soon as bombs were mentioned. "Ooh! Ooh! Can I do it, pretty pleeeeease!" She got up in Cath's face and started to jump up and down, like a little child.

"...ummm," Cath looked at Mei, skepticism evident in her gaze. "Let's make a deal. You can blow up the house if, and only if you answer three of the questions."

She smiled. Cath loved when a plan came together.

Nox grins under her mask. She liked Cath, she had the ability to take charge and lead the group. She was also able to keep everyone under control. It only gave her more of a need to protect her. Without Cath, the group, and everything they were willing to fight for would be destroyed.

She nods and follows Cath out the door. An amused look flickering in her eyes to see how genuinely excited Mei got at the mention of blowing up the facility. She wasn't sure if her demeanor before was an act or not, but this behavior was a nice change of pace. She sticks close to the pair, only stopping for a moment to glance back at Athena to make sure the younger girl was still following.
