Forum-Index → Roleplay → Kingdom of AerayaA pair of green eyes scanned the crowd as Esmerelda pushed through, leaving a parting in her wake. She had watched the general take away her sister, for whom she was rather worried, having not heard a word of their conversation. Of course, she would have, and should have, departed with the duo, but she felt that she needed a little more time outside, with the people of her kingdom. Having reached the outskirts of the now disappearing crowd, she let out a small sigh, her eyes closing as she noticed the smells and noises of the town. Perhaps she should start spending more time down here.
Again flicking open her eyelids, she set off at a slow pace in whichever direction her legs demanded they go. Being a princess, her face was extremely recognisable, which became obvious as several townsfolk waved and smiled at her, though some scorned her with an evil glare. She waved back, handing out free grins to the villagers. The sight was fairly odd, to say the least. A princess should not have been parading around on her own outside the castle, and she very well knew that, but there were several guards dotted around, so she'd be fine - she thought. (dun dun duuuuuun)
Joy sighed and tried to recall what happened before she fainted. "Where's my father? Is he safe? What about Elliot,Noah and Esmeralda?" The tone of her voice becoming more and more worried as she kept asking questions. She finally got up and sat on the bed. "Judging from the daylight,I wasn't out for a long time." she added, looking out from a window.
Kalinda was amazed at what was unfolding around her. She followed her teacher onto the cobblestone path so she wouldn't be lost in this strange area.
Cooper went back to the garden. He grabbed supplies from the garden shed and began his gardening.
Releasing his nerves in one breath, Elliot rubbed the back of his head, looking at anywhere except for his brother. "Just erm... I wanted to apologize." He gestured a little abortedly at the stack of paperwork that he could see within Noah's room. "I gave you all that in a fit of anger, and I probably shouldn't have done that, given that it is quite a lot. So I guess I'm here to help out. Or something." Snapping his mouth shut before he embarrassed himself any further, he could feel his face flushing with shame at the poor delivery of intent. For all his airs of being perfect and reliable, Elliot was truthfully still horrendously awful at dealing with any emotion that wasn't all consuming rage or sly teasing.
"awkward" Ava, still lying on the bed, started whispering again to Tabby but with no effort to be discreet about it. Although the air is pretty tense and uncomfortable they thought it'd be worth watching the brothers finally Bond. Or try to, at least.
Feliciano smiled at his brother. "Yessir Yessir, we are going to be so good at this" He turned back to Kanata, rocking back and forth a bit. He placed a hand on his cheek and tilted his head to the side a little "We are still set on being your apprentices, if you will. So what's it, weatherboy?"
Cooper continued gardening. A rare smile appeared on his face. Good job Cooper!
Left sputtering almost indigently, Elliot's face would have been hilarious if not for the brief flicker of hurt. Elliot was many unpleasant things. A stuck up stick in the mud, arrogant, hot-headed, and that was only scratching the surface. But among the various labels Elliot held, a liar was not one of them. In fact, he sort of prided himself on his honesty, even if it could be blunt and unpleasant at times. "I don't care if you don't need my aid." He said lowly, eyes downcast as his hands shook by his side. "But when have you ever known me to tell a lie?" The familiar burn of white-hot anger licked across his skin but he clenched his hands together tightly, both to quell the rage and to settle the traitorous trembling. Getting angry won't solve anything, he reminded himself almost desperately, shoving the unpleasant emotion down
Wind blows towards Dallas's face, causing her hair and pieces of freed fabric from her cloak to whip around behind her. Her icy blue eyes narrow slightly as they search for movement. The streets on this part of the kingdom were empty. It seemed as if everyone was either working or gathering up in the middle of town. They were faint- but Dallas heard some voices. She ignored them, she was sure that whatever was going on over there was under control. How boring... She lifts her gas mask up slightly and inhales a breath of fresh air. She had rather... Creative ways to fight and/or kill. She preferred poison, she even had a nickname for herself for that very reason: The Viper. It was unheard of, but maybe one day that name would bring fear to her enemies... She licks her canines, which are longer than normal for creepy bad guy purposes. She tastes the faintest taint of blood. The taint becomes much more noticeable as blood slowly pools in her mouth. The taste makes her giggle. She was having a bad reaction to her latest poison, not a surprise, she usually had a bad reaction when she switched... In order to work with poison, you must be immune to it, so that's exactly what she is trying to do. She slowly poisons herself to make her body use to it. She thinks that it's working.
Movement! She heard movement, directly below her. She carelessly leaps from the tiny building she was standing on, landing slightly too hard. She winces slightly from the pain that hits her ankles. At least nothing is broken. She turns her head slightly, the sound of movement was behind her now... Ambush!? She quickly turns her whole body around, almost karate chopping a stray cat, who was digging through a trashcan. The cat lifts it's head and hisses at her before running away. Dallas shakes her head and laughs. "The poison is working!" She says between a fit of laughter. "My senses are strong! Almost better than a cats!" She places her hands on her knees, desperately trying to fight the fit of insane laughter and catch her breath
[This was fun to write]
"Maddam Dallas?" The boy asks, his voice shaky.
"What?" Dallas snaps. She doesn't look at the boy, instead she pinches the bridge of her nose in frustration.
"Are you okay-?"
"What!?" Dallas asks again.
"We haven't found anything, should we head back and think of a new plan? Maybe we can ask Scarlet for a better plan?" Dallas drops her hand and turns to glare at the boy, which makes him jump back in fear.
"We can do this without her help! Don't you get it? I want to find this person! I want to impress her!" She storms towards the boy, who doesn't try to run, but instead cowers in fear. "We will find this mysterious person on my watch! Got it!?" She asks. The boy gulps and nods. When she doesn't say anything else he turns around and runs away, leaving her stranded in the alleyway.
