Or is it

You decide.
"But it is quite interesting though.." Ayran looked back, "Are the others here yet?"

Upon hearing the others, Mercy began wondering how many people had actually made it through. She knew there was her, the loudmouth Kendo, nature's weaponsmith, Theo, Avatar Kaori, and the shadow dude. 6 total, as far as she could count with an idiot for a roleplayer.
She then shifted her thoughts to what loudmouth and weapon kid had been talking about. Would her powers work here?
'Only one way to find out!' With a flick of her wrist, a ball of solid mercury formed, floating just above her hand. It slowly shifted into a liquid form, before splitting into three orbs that orbited where the ball had been previously. 'I am going to murder my roleplayer for that accidental pun.'
She slowly dissipated the mercury, careful to avoid touching it. Unfortunately, control over something doesn't (always) give you immunity. With something like Mercury, it's best not to experiment. Luckily, she could manipulate the fumes from mercury as well, so she didn't have to worry about becoming a mad hatter.
Adrik Volkov
Adrik took the first step, and immediately tripped on a patch of weeds. He pushed himself back up on his feet, after checking that the faceplant hadn't wounded more than his dignity.
And promptly his breath was taken away.
Around him, everyone was swearing and yelling.
And a woman stared into their souls.
"Welcome to the Truthkeeper's realm," the old woman said calmly.
Ayran shook his head to shoo away that thought, and instead mused on the info he just gain, and looked out Adrik, and called out to him, "Adrik c'mere!"
Ayran was on the top of his class, so thus it was common for the teachers there to assign him to tutor those at the lowest. He was assigned to tutor him every Wednesday and Friday. So they grew pretty close and comfortable with eachother.
As much as he knew how much potential Adrik had, he knew how cruel the world is, and never expect that Adrik would actually pass the test.
Now all he wants to do, is continue being a good friend.
Now Ayran turned back to the old woman, 'The Truthkeepers Realm.. It's this place? Kaori's old bedroom look-alike???'
All he has is question marks.
Arden Vasilyev's POV
They knew, they knew, they had to be the best, that was all there was to it. And if other people were just rocks, waiting to be kicked aside? So be it. There was no point in getting involved with anybody anyway! Especially when they were inferior.
"They only matter as your competition. For you to crush."
Yes, he was sure he could do this. They adjusted their glasses and took the final step into the awaiting gateway.

Adrik Volkov
Oh no, not Ayran again. Adrik set his jaw, determined to ignore him. Ayran thought now was a good time to establish his dominance over the losers? When they'd just met their future mentor?
Why would you do it? The gall of it all disgusted Adrik. We're not friends, and I'm not falling for your pretending. I'm on equal grounds with you now, and you're not pretending otherwise. No matter what, Adrik had to win here, and he wouldn't let anyone use him to elevate themselves.
It was kill or be killed.
None of them were friends here, and it was only a matter of time before the rest caught on.
He resolved to keep his eyes off Ayran.
"Be silent," the old woman ordered.
The racket shut up.
She nodded, pleased. "Good. You can follow orders. Now come, we are heading to my room." She walked a few steps, then paused, looking over her shoulders. "Come," she growled, and Adrik lurched to obey.
Arden Vasilyev's POV
Today and onwards, they would prove themself worthy.
And show their remarkable skills were better than all the rest.

But he was more questioned about by Adrik ignored him. Imean they were good friends when he still tutored him right? So hy was he suddenly so cold now?
Ayran clenched his jaw frustrated, he genuinely enjoys Adrik company and jis thoughts on life was interesting, but the silents when he ignored him was unusual, Ayran clenched his rubix cube tighter, and was determined to talk to Adrik later.
Later after whatever this old woman wanted with them.

As they made their way along, Adrik took the time to study his companions. The smartest, the strongest, the ones with the most spirit. They were the winners.
Kaden's not here.
Maybe there was a mistake. Maybe somebody mixed them up. Maybe Adrik should've been Kaden and it would be discovered a minute later and he'd be repudiated by the Old Gods, and-
No, he had to stay calm. The gods wouldn't make mistakes.
Would they?
He looked around at all these geniuses. Maybe it was just his heretic brain, but he had difficulty believing that he belonged with any of them.
"Don't try eating anything," the old woman muttered, as if to herself. "Drives you mad. Hallucinations, blood, see mah' dead sister, and..." she trailed off. "We're here."
Here? Adrik peered over her shoulder. "Here" didn't appear to be... well, anywhere.
Then she jammed her walking stick into the earth, and the entire world rippled.
He watched in awe as the ground ripped up before her. The earth's lips peeled back, opening up in a malicious and fantastical grin. Teeth carved at the ground, and suddenly-
It all went still.
Everything was smooth. There was a staircase now, heading down beneath the earth.
The woman walked down, not looking to see if they'd follow.
Adrik glanced at the others one last time, then hurried after her.
