Xatina could feel her head spinning from the attack, but she
managed to focus enough to shoot a Dark Pulse at the Kadabra before
dropping. She barely managed to get back on her feet, diving
between a Ninjask and a Furret. Ninjask..why did she always have to
be fighting bug types?
Winter
“Ah, a new recruit, welcome.” Harringale greeted the winter vulpix,
with a soft smile. “Welcole to our family...we’ll make sure you’re
treated well here.”
Xatina
The Kadabra then threw a Shadow Ball before collapsing...
Fortem and Clamor
Soon enough, enemies came to assail them both.
Emerald awoke and was being questioned...
Audax
After some more training, Dalsin dismissed him for the day. There
was only so much to enforce after all
Margo watched it all in confusion. *well, we WOULD have been a
great team...I just... wish i was strong enough.* Margo surveyed
the battle again. She saw a kadabra use shadow ball. it was much
biger than hers. The blue umbreon sighed and again began helping
the smaller pokemon.
Winter smiled at the robin Pokemon, warmed by his kind words. He
hadn't been expecting them to greet him like this. "Thank you." He
replied, suddenly feeling even worse remembering his mission...he
had to remind himself that he wasn't hurting them. This was for
their own good! For the good of all of Luminia!
Fortem was too distraught and tired to fight back. He ran away,
back to the school of magic, where he sighed, head and heart
low.
Being a huge bookworm, Audax preferred to read than to exercise,
and was pretty burnt out by the end of the day. He had to keep his
energy up... He ate a few berries while lying down, exhausted.
Clamor saw the Lycanroc run back off to the castle. Perhaps the two
were friends...? How had they found themselves on opposite sides of
the battlefield? Either way... Clamor made a choice: he made up his
mind to try and start another jail break. Clamor had escaped jail
once before, and he thought he could do it again, and even with
more security, this time he started outside the jail. He needed to
keep his promise and keep the riolu safe, and this was the best way
to do it... besides, Clamor found himself getting fond of the
pokemon.
Xatina spotted the flash of black as an Umbreon came to help her.
In that split second, Xatina saw the Shadow Ball. She ducked down,
the Shadow Ball dissapitating behind her. It was obvious that the
Dark Pulse had done it's job, and the Alakazam would not hit hard,
if it even chose to continue fighting. But Xatina could tell that
if the Kadabra did, it would be a quick job. She regretted her use
of a supereffective move, it obviously hurt the pokemon badly. She
hated seeing the flash of pain-but if she was going to support the
Loyalist cause, she would need to fight. Xatina tried to put it out
of her mind, watching the collapsed Kadabra for a minute to see if
it would rise. When she was sure that her fallen foe would not be a
problem, she turned her attention to the knights around her, while
keeping one eye on the Umbreon. Who was she? Xatina didn't
recgonize her from the ranks, though she obviously didn't know
evreyone-but if this pokemon was a Repbulican, why did she try to
help her? Xatina was obviously a knight, and from what she had
seen, the division between Loyalists and Republicans was much too
great to be crossed. Xatina knew there were those who had joined
neither side, but Xatina had never seen a nuteralist fighting. The
day that someone who had chosen to withdraw from the chaos that
plauged this world struck out would be quite the day indeed.
Clamor
Since there was a big fight, security inside seemed to be fairly
thin. Emerald wasn’t too hard to find
Winter
There didn’t seem to be any useful info floating arpund. Most of it
was just conversations about their day, their hopes, lunch...and
more.
But Winter did get to see Jessiah the leader, who looked fairly
imposing
Winter laid eyes on the Republican leader. he had to admit the
creature was mighty intimidating, the mere figure commanding
respect. Winter was unsure of whether to try and converse with
them...instead keeping his ears angled toward the casual
conversations around him.
Clamor knocked on one of the bars on Emerald's cell, just loud
enough for him to hear it. Even if they were on opposing sides,
Clamor didn't think they deserved to be in jail at all. He would
try to free as many other pokemon in here as he could, too. He
smiled, reminded of the story of Robin Hood, a thievul who stole
from the rich, gave to the poor, and freed pokemon unjustly in
jail. Wasn't that sort of what he was doing now?
Margo watched the absol silently. *well, I haven't chosen sides
yet.* She began to follow the absol, and when there was a fight,
the shiny umbreon helped, if from a small distance. the absol
seemed confused, but Margo didn't care care. she had found..a
friend of sorts. the first friend she had made in...ever. even
though it was in a fight, Margo had never felt happiness before.
she rather enjoyed the emotion. Little did she know, the umbreons
iris turned a shade it never had before. Gold. it meant happy.
Xatina's mind was split-most of her, mind and body, was focused on
the battle in front of her. To live up to the reputation of the
knights, Xatina was giving it her all. Of course, her gentle side
prevented Xatina from seriously hurting anyone, and evrey time that
she was forced to, she could feel a wrench of pain in her heart.
But Xatina knew that she had to put that away. It was time to
serve, time to do her duty as a knight. But of course, one side of
her kept noticing that the Umbreon was following her-it was rather
confusing to say the least. Xatina had thought that it was a one
time thing-that the Umbreon was simply helping her out of a
situation and would then move on. She didn't expect to find this
strange Pokemon following her. She did note as the battle raged and
she ducked the claws of a Pyroar that the Umbreon was helping in
small ways-was this Umbreon loyal to the Loyalist's cause? Xatina
was not watching carefully, but the moment that she attacked a
fellow knight, all thoughts of an ally would go. Xatina put her
fellow knights above herself evrey time. She wasn't about to end
that policy now, so she kept her guard up as she continued to push
knights out of the way, and drag Republicans off of soldiers.
As the battle raged on, Margo began to notice that the absol did
not really harm the knights she was fighting. the umbreon did her
best to do as little fatal damage as possible, just harm them
enough so that the friend-was it a friend?- could move on. The blue
umbreon began to stumble from exhaustion. It seemed like what they
were doing was pointless. for every knight they defeated, it seemed
like the crowd of fighters got bigger. but Margo fought on, no
matter how tired she got for her new friend. as the fight
continued, her iris color began to fade back to blue, with a slight
tinge of red. Margo was getting slightly angry that what she was
doing hardly did a thing. She wanted to make a difference. She
wanted to be noticed! The angrier she got, the redder her eye
became, the more power she felt in her. she felt strong. she
felt... Alive. Then, when she was helping the absol fight another
knight, she felt that same click again. she hissed, and used
moonlight on the absol.
Xatina could feel a rush of energy as she fought. It came on rather
suddenly, a jolt as she had been feeling her life drain away as she
took another hit for a knight. The shock caused her to look for the
source, and the temporary pause gave her opponent-a Toxicroak-the
chance to rush her. Xatina was knocked down, but simply got up and
ran away. She wasn't a coward, no, but she refused to let the fight
escelate. Xatina didn't wish harm on the Loyalists, like some of
the more outspoken knights who were always leading the battle, she
just wanted the hot-headed revelutionists knowna as the Republicans
to realize the foolishness of their actions. But she had little
time to reflect on her theologies as her mind went blank, running
to intercept a Jolteon who was about to attack a soldier. Breathing
hard, there was enough lull that Xatina was able to halt, if only
for a minute. Her mind allowed the rush of thoughts that had been
held back as she battled, and she wondered once more who had cast
that Moonlight on her. But Xatina stuffed away the thoughts as she
went to protect yet another warrior. It was most likely one of the
other knights who had noticed her energy draining away and had used
the move as an assist to a fellow soldier. Like a tiny drop leaking
from a dam, the thought crossed Xatina's mind that it was the
Umbreon who had done it. But then again, there was no way Xatina
could know the intent behind her actions, as this Umbreon was a
stranger to her.
Winter
“There’s a battle at thezmain castle now, but rest assured, you
don’t have to go.” Harringale told Winter, instead guiding him to
the area that was for relaxing
Clamor
Even though Emerald was in a jail cell, it seemed as though that
hadn’t broken his spirit at all. He saw Clamor and reached a paw
out of the cell...
Winter followed the Republican. If he remembered correctly, this
was the same Republican from the first day, in the debate before it
all decended into chaos.
Seeing Rene also back in the school, Forten went to approach her.
Both of them seemed a little beat up from the battle, and neither
enjoyed it, especially for Fortem because of what had happened to
Emerald... he sighed. Emerald was a smart pokemon, though. Maybe he
could escape?
I'm getting you out of here, Clamor thought to himself about
Emerald. He examined the lock, and used a powerful crunch to try
and break it. Would it work a second time? Clamor wasn't sure...
Winter
There were many books around as well as bean bags and cushions. If
he looked further, there were stairs leading towards an
undergrounds training grounds.
Fortem
Rene was panting. She didn't do any fighting, just did her best to
get other pokemon out of the crossfire, if she could. She was back
to being nose deep in her tome once again, just shivering
Clamor
The lock did not break, it seems as though the quality of the locks
had been upped since last time and break out. Unfortunately, the
commotion attracted the attention of some guards, which Emerald was
frantically trying to warn Clamor of
Winter eyed tge stairs curiously. So was this where the Republicans
trained to fight? He supposed they had to have some kind of
organization, they weren't barbarians after all.
Fortem padded up beside her, sitting down as well. "Are you ok,
Rene?" He asked, planning to tell her about the neutrals and his
plan afterwards. He had to ask first though. Rene looked nervous,
and Fortem wanted to help. Besides, it would be weird to just bring
it up straight away.
Of course they improved the locks... if they knew he could get
through one, they must have. His ears flicked towards the direction
of guards. As much as Clamor wanted to help Emerald out of the
cage, he knew he had to deal with the guards first, or even more
guards would come, and he would become trapped. Quick as a flash,
he used takedown, ramming two guards into a wall. It was a sudden,
surprise attack, which would impact the damage. Then he turned to
face the other two with a glare, and used thunder wave. It was
clear that if they tried to run or spread word about his arrival,
Clamor would attack, so they wouldn't have time to do so. They had
to fight him back.
