Persephone couldn't control her face for a second, but quickly yanked it back to a smug smirk, her mind awhirl with... what did he mean? Was he giving up? Saying that she could do whatever she liked, that he conceded, that she was right-

No, he wasn't allowed to do that.
"What the hell are you on about?" she asked, raising an eyebrow, and trying to ignore the sinking feeling in her gut.

"Shallow win, isn't it?" Persephone leaned in closer. "Listen up, little boy, because I'll only say this once." She met his eyes, tilting her head to the side, goopy sugary sweetness flooding her voice. "You don't get to quit. Only I decide when this is over. For as long as you're at my school, then you're going to listen to me."
She grinned.
"So chin up. You get to hang with me a little while longer."
