Twilight Cometh(Thread)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Twilight Cometh(Thread)They seemed decently nice enough. Even if Elle was a villain. She still wasn’t too sure about Logic, but if Madness and Truth trusted him enough to view him as leader, then honestly who was she to complain?
Celine briefly tuned out Emma and Elle, taking out a small whistle and blowing, letting out a piercing chirp. After a while of staring into the horizon, Fayth and Kai came bounding through the sky, shimmering figures with vague shape and form coming closer and closer. They crashed straight through her, causing her to stumble backwards a bit and roll her eyes.
“Logic, Madness, Elle? Meet my familiars- sort of.”
Emma eyed the familiars curiously.
"Ooh! What are these things supposed to be? They're awfully, uh, vague."
Logic grumbled under his breath. His mood seemed to have visibly worsened ever since Madness came here.

Emma gently pats Kai.
"Look at you, you cute little amorphous ball of soul fragments. You're really quite a sweetheart, aren't you?"
Emma laughed. How ironic that the one named 'Madness' seemed to most mentally stable out of the three.
Logic sighed.
"Madness, keep it d-"
he was cut off by Emma poking him on the nose.
"I told you, Arty, it's Emma. Or are you too old to call me Em?"
Artemis sighed.
"...I f@#!ing hate you."
"I know!"
Truth's door opened up into a bustling street... once more, in the City of Prosperity.
The sound of music caught her ear, as she glanced around for the source.
She sighed, tying her long, black hair into a ponytail, glancing around.
"...mmfh... !#@$ing logic, forcing me to do all the hard work..."

A flash of gold very nearly jarred him out of his dizzying spiral of acrobatics and showmanship, paired with dark hair that almost glowed purple under the graceless sun. A name rested on the tip of the busker's tongue as steady fingers slipped down a discordant scale only to arise to new wings but it was all quickly dashed as hair long enough to be pulled up into a simple ponytail (he had always hated having hair that went anywhere past the shoulders, said it always got in the way of a quick getaway) and features much to foreign to match a long lost friend flitted past his vision. This was just another ghost that lingered much too close.

She sighed, in frustration, walking towards him.
She tapped the busker on the shoulder.
"Oi, Mister. Are you Mister ... ehh... 'he who blooms spidering lillies...'? Huh. What does that mean?"
Truth read off of a sheet of paper, before rolling it up into a ball, and shoving her hands in the pockets of her hoodie.
"I'm Truth. Would you give me a few minutes to talk? I need to recruit you... or something."

"Names should not be spoken so carelessly. You should know more than anyone." He grumbled, tugging his cloak tight around him. The violin whose strings looked more than a little frayed followed the almost empty bowl of tips into nothingness as he pushed himself away from the crowds trusting the weird interloper to follow to a more secluded area with less ears against the walls. "Seraph will suffice for now. Speak, though I doubt I could help with any problem that requires someone of your caliber to seek aide."

Truth, yawned.
"There's a huge wave of monsters that destroyed the City of Wisdom(before Emma blew it up) and we need more manpower. Would you like to come with me and meet my boss?"

She sat down on the stone, something twisting in her chest. Like the duck, she projected a cool and calm exterior, effortlessly gliding through the water. But underneath, she was a torrent of emotions, slowly being drained as she kept them under wraps, her webbed feet kicking incessantly.
"Once the rest are here, where will we go?" Elle could only imagine. Wisdom to fight Monsters? God to torture her just a little bit more?

My current RP work:
Though, with the casual delivery of a name that only few knew the existence of, he had no doubt that the truth, spoken from the mouth of a girl not much younger than him, would come out. But if manpower was what they wanted, Seraph wasn't quite the warrior or healer that they perhaps may want. Though the way that Truth spoke had him thinking. Why more manpower? The city was already in ruins, any survivors fleeing to greener fields. "You believe there will be another attack." He guessed, tilting his head in thought before elaborating. "And on Prosperity specifically." The proof was in the slummed hospitals that had been hastily set up in the ghastly outskirts interspersed by corpses of inhuman proportions

She sighed, her hands idly playing with a lock of her raven-black hair.
"I don' know why my boss chose you, but then again, I don't know why my boss does anything he does. He just said that he thought your powers were... eh, I think the word was... 'unique'?"

Seraph rolled his eyes though if it was at the comment or at the voice that rung like clear bells, only he knew. Others would just assume the former, Her voice shrouded to anyone who listened. "Mother, please..." He sighed, contemplating the situation. It wouldn't be the worst if he went along just to see if he could get some new information and he could always retreat safely if it ever came down to it but he didn't like the idea of jumping into a team even if it was to save the world. The last time he did... well, Seraph wasn't the best at working with others in general. Still, "Very well. I can entertain you if only for a moment." He acquiesced, flipping his own hood up. It shrouded any features that he had, leaving only the faintest glimmer of red eyes.

Logic glanced over at Truth and Seraph.
"Ah, it's you. And Mr. Seraph, correct? Come on through, we're on a tight schedule."

"I thought we talked about this before, Lily." Mother chided and Seraph could feel Her looking through his eyes and raking Logic up and down. Her assessment must have yielded results as she slipped into place beside his consciousness. "Only make judgements after hearing the other out. This young one seems more than willing to, he may be worth listening to."

Logic stood up from hsi seat, smiling.
Emma was too preoccupied with talking to the others to pay attention to Artemis.
Truth was off to the side, very awkward the moment she saw Emma.
He walked over to Seraph and the closing portal, extending a hand.
"Wonderful to meet you. I'm Logic. And you were approached because I know your work quite well, and I'm something of a fan."

Celine stands beside Truth, quietly asking, “You alright, dear? Something on your mind?” Celine’s eyebrows creased and she pursed her lips in concern, casting a look of concern over to the girl. Sure, Truth may be a powerful girl, but by the looks of her, and her personality, Celine could probably safely bet that she was younger than herself. Celine’s hands glow gold, flickering softly as she hums to herself. The feeling is almost comforting, as if a mother was embracing their child.
"I'm not much of a team player, you should know that, yes? I don't exactly stick around to see what happens next."

Her voice cracked slightly, as Truth hurriedly glanced away from Emma, smiling.
"I- uh, I'm okay. I'm fine."
Her golden eyes were slightly unfocused, glancing around nervously.
Logic smiled.
"Oh, I know everything. Do not worry, Seraph, I won't force you to do... anything against your will."
He paused in the middle of his sentence.
"I'm not a villain, after all. I'm just a man who wants to, ah, help the world."

"Fine, I'll bite. What do you need me for? Healing? Assassinations? Or you seek Her council, however ludicrous that may be."

Logic looked away, fiddling with his drone's controls.
"Sh!t. Lost connection..."
he glanced back up at Seraph, smiling.
"Plus, from what I've seen of the City of Wisdom after it as destroyed, and before Madness blew it up, that place... well, it's not exactly... earth."
