All eyes were on Kalos; the world watched with bated breath as one man declared it to be impure. The Pokémon world would be reset back to its purest, most beautiful form. Those who dared to rise against him once before now knelt, powerless and defeated by his ambitions. With a blast of radiant light, it seemed to be the end for all that was known before.

But you.. You’re something else, trainer. Against all odds, you survived. Blessed by one of the Legends of old, you and the other Blessed Ones must race against the clock, before Team Flare’s oh-so perfect world is irreversible.

Prologue

The Blessed Ones
When you come to your senses, you find your world to be hazy; a giant blur of uncertainty. One moment, you were awaiting the end of everything with the blast of the Ultimate Weapon. The next, there was a flash of light.

However, you're breathing. You can feel your chest rise and fall. For some unknown reason, you made it out alive. As you ponder the reasoning, a voice speaks to you. It's ethereal, like none you've heard before. Almost.. legendary.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

Describe the dream you're having with your first post.

Once you wake, you will find yourself in Couriway Town.

Team Flare
Within the safety of Team Flare's many bunkers, you and your teammates observed the blast from safety. You, too, saw the grandiose burst of light from your boss's grandest project. The world has been reset to its most beautiful state; a world without suffering or strife.

You are currently in Team Flare's Secret HQ in Geosenge.

Tsururi (Valentina "Val") Hyodo
Cresselia's Blessed | Daughter of sweet dreams.

The woman's mind was foggy, like she'd just woken up from an awful nap. The world around her was misty, as though clouds were rolling by at her feet. She sat up slowly, turning her head from side to side to examine her surroundings. It looked like the Contest Hall, but something was off about it. The bright pink floor of the lobby was shimmering with blue and golden light.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

Valentina's head snapped up toward the source of the voice. A tall woman stood before her, draped in violet silk over a periwinkle and yellow ballgown. She stared with eyes too wide to be human, and extended a hand with nails sharpened to look like claws.

"Who.. are you?" Val asked slowly as she accepted the hand.

"A friend," was the response earned as Val was pulled to her feet. "One who is in dire need of help."

Valentina opened her mouth to speak again, but found herself being gently shushed by the other. With a pout, the redhead had no choice but to listen.

"The Pokémon world as all know it has been lost. You have been chosen to help restore it to its natural beauty, and free it from its desolate curse. You and the Pokémon you wield will awaken alongside the other saviors to soothe the unrest. Seek out the Bringer of Life and ease the suffering of Kalos."

Val's mind spun with hundreds of questions. Why her? Why couldn't the individual who selected her and these other 'heroes' just do the work themselves? She lifted a hand in protest, but found that she had no words to speak. No, she wouldn't allow herself to sit idly, would she? A performer without an audience was nothing.

"..Very well," she conceded.

The mist began to swirl around her, and as the light began to fade, Val swore she saw the woman change shape. Before she could call out, though, she was thrown into a world unlike the one she'd just been in.

Leo Baskerville | Blessed by Eon's Gentle Blade
Blackened Wings of Knowledge | Location: ???

Leo didn't dream. If he did ever fall asleep it was to the sound of machines whirring away in the background and the whine of his old computer, only waking when the sun shone in his eyes and the smell of fresh coffee. Most of the time he didn't even sleep, even moreso in recent weeks once Statice hatched from his shell, full of fluffy golden fur of luck and good fortune. Flukes meant that it could happen again, that it could be replicated, that not all hope was lost and perhaps Leo could bring back entirely extinct branches of pokemon. That was not a chance that Leo was ever going to give up on, pursuing his life's work with unparalleled zeal to the point where his housemate had grown concerned. But what of it, Elliot might have forgotten but Leo didn't. He wouldn't.

But as Leo cracked open an eye, squinting against bright light when he was used to his dark lab only lit by blinking electronics, Leo could only conclude that he was dreaming. Why else would he be floating in the sky, weightless and without any sign of land? It was just physically impossible for him to be doing this as the world wasn't small enough for the blues to merge together into one homogeneous mess. The last thing he remembered was...

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

"Then you've come to the wrong person." He quipped back immediately, twisting around to try and find the source of the voice. This was turning into quite the weird dream. "I'm not exactly the best person to ask for help. Go find Elliot or something if you're looking for a hero."

"Did you not think I have already tried?" The voice sighed, sounding much like it was too tired to deal with this. Leo could understand, suddenly bracing for the end of the world only to be dropped form the sky was a very tiring experience. "Unfortunately, your lord knight is much better suited to my sister and thus you are best suited for me." As if to stop a decent that Leo wasn't even aware that he was in, an arm grabbed his own hand halting his fall with a jerk. On the other side of the arm was a boy who probably wasn't much older than 18, his impassive face staring back at him. His clothes were quite hisuinian in nature, the cloth secured by a blue obi and wind tussled white hair pinned back with a red triangle shaped clip. Despite being quite young it was undeniably true that the was strong enough to pull Leo out from his downward spiral.

Leo was tugged up until the mysterious boy firmly grasped his face and forced their gazes to meet headlong. "Listen closely for I will not repeat myself. The world as you know it is lost. All of the knowledge you have painstakingly accumulated will all be for naught. Return it to its former state and perhaps you will learn much more than what you previously thought possible. Soothe the unrest with the rest of the chosen, seek out the Bringer of Life, ease the suffering, and perhaps in your heart you may finally know peace." The sharp red eyes that pierced through him left no room for argument and Leo could only nod under the heavy conviction.

"Good. For everyone's sake, don't make me regret choosing you." The stranger snarled before Leo was falling once again, faster and faster until the boy was nothing but another blue dot in the empty sky, the ground rushing up to meet him in an solid embrace.

Elliot Baskerville | Blessed by Eon's Stalwart Shield
Blue Rose of Justice | Location: ???

The sky was beautiful as always. Gently sitting on a cloud, Elliot was pretty sure that this wasn't any sort of reality. For one, it was scientifically impossible for a cloud to support human weight. For another, he distinctly remembered futilely shielding Leo from impending doom as if his body could save his life. Was this the afterlife then? It wasn't a bad one even if its a little lonely without anyone by his side.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

Floating down from another cloud, a young girl giggled and waved, red hair curling around her face even if it was pinned back with a blue triangle clip. Her dress danced playfully in the wind as she sat down beside Elliot, youth flowing from her very presence. "We?" Elliot asked, looking around to try and spot anyone else.

"Oh don't worry! My brother is just chasing after that silly professor friend of yours. They'd make quite the pair I think." The girl giggled, swinging her legs. "But that's not why we're here and I'm pretty sure you know what its about. My champion can't be that dense~"

Falling silent, Elliot gazed out onto the sky, watching as the clouds crawled past them. "We're dead though. You're here too so you must know that." He murmured, turning around to finally meet the mysterious girl's eyes.

"Bummer, did you want to die? Well unfortunately I'm kinda asking you to save the world, y'know, got all messed up and everything. We're trying to keep that from happening so the others have their own champions. Or are we calling them chosen this time around? Blessed? Doesn't really matter what you guys are called but hey, as long as you seek out the Bringer of Life and set things right again, you'll be a savior regardless of title." She tittered, swaying alongside to a beat that only she could hear.

She seemed so free-spirited despite the heavy words, speaking about its end without much care. Perhaps they really were dead and this was just some sort of weird test before his eternal rest. But still, even if he was dead, Elliot would help in whatever capacity he could. "What do you need me to do?" He asked, ignoring the question if he did want to die. That wasn't something he wanted to really think about now, dead or not.

By now, Elliot probably should have expected the girl to do something crazy but clapping giddily as she slid off her cloud seat to plummet through the sky definitely wasn't it. "What a dependable Champion! Don't worry darling, all will come in due time but first. I think we need to save your friend from going splat. My dear brother is so impatient when it comes to these intellectual types. Not much compassion for him to relate to, you see. I thought maybe your precious Leo could talk some sense into him but with all things time is needed. Too bad we don't have much of it."

Elliot was already feeling dizzy listening to the girl's disembodied voice chatter on, closing his eyes as the scenery swam in a mix of blue hues. He almost felt like throwing up as his world tilted on an axis and he felt the cloud under him scatter into the winds, his consciousness along with it.

𝑉𝐸𝑅𝑆𝐴𝐶𝐸 𝑅𝐴𝐼𝑁𝑁 𝐷𝐸𝐿𝐴𝐶𝑂𝑈𝑅𝑇

27 - female - chosen of mespirit - daughter of pathos

Vanessa stood and watched as the world ended.

And then it started again.

Breathe in, once, twice.

This is happening, this is real.
Am I dead? Am I real?

Versace woke slowly, comfortable but confused. Counting the seconds between her supposed death and arrival, she gazed out into the bewildering dreamscape to which she had arrived in. Questions piled in her brain as she struggled to make sense of what was before her. The realm before her appeared corporeal, but hazy as though obscured by a curtain of beads. When a few blinks did not clear her vision, she finally got a handle on the situation. The answer was deceptively simple once her brain caught up to her mind. This is a dream. But one unlike one she'd had before. Most dreamscapes she had been in at least had a solid surface to stand on; Versace was fairly certain that if she took a single step forward, she'd plummet endlessly.

If you could even die in a dream.

"Is anybody waiting for me out there?" She called sweetly, venturing a few tentative steps forward. Curiosity replaced her earlier hesitation when the ground did not give way beneath her feet. Soon, Versace's hesitant walk became a confident saunter, fueled by an almost childlike curiosity to explore. Not even fully accustomed to the silence, a voice behind her made her jump. Gossamer-thin, dreamy yet calm. The child behind her spoke with wisdom far beyond her physical years.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

The ravenette blinked in bewilderment or perhaps confusion when the ethereal entity made themselves known. Golden eyes stared into her emerald ones. What Versace saw before her was no human nor a pokemon, but something in between. A girl not above the physical age of 10, her hair split into four sleek trails surrounding her head, and two silver ones that were longer than her entire body. The ravenette found herself admiring the baby-blue robes that clung to the faerie's petite body, a cotton-candy pink veil hiding her mouth and light-blue glasses. The image was a being caught between sanctification and a childlike innocence. Adorable. Only the ruby in her hair, too glossy and red to be of any mortal gem, gave her away as a deity. Somehow, Versace wondered if this was a last-minute choice of attire, (what right minded person goes out meeting someone in their pajamas, like come on), but she didn't remark on it.

Against her better judgment, the ravenette smiled, a quip already on her lips. "You know what?" she hummed, "Quite the fashion choice."

The girl only shushed her, though not unkindly. "We will speak later. For now, just listen. I don't have long"

"Oh, for sure. But wh-"

"The Pokémon world as all know it has been lost." The deity spoke with the urgent haste of a being on their deathbed, pushing out the words without the time left to speak it, "I'm sure you're aware that the harbinger of death destroyed everything right? Don't blame them, of course, it's their nature. But I want you to understand this. It's not permanent. Really. Your job is to seek out the bringer of life and bring an end to the tide of death that has befallen your home. Yes, I know you're from Kalos, so this must feel personal, no? Don't worry, you're not going to be alone. There will be others with you, tasked with the same objective. Makes things a bit easier. Not too much to ask, I hope?"

Versace didn't speak once, mind churning as she processed the words. The words themselves made sense. However, even the most logically worded information loses meaning in the delivery if spoken too fast. ”Now, I don’t mean to be rude." She said carefully, "But, can't you say it again, slower?"

”Like I said, no time.” The girl apologized, bobbing up and down with a shrug. ”I trust you’ll figure it out once you wake up. But I do need a yes or no.”

She could only wish for more context at this point. "If you needed help, then I suppose it's a yes." Provided it was worth it, of course. Versace did not believe in a quest without some gain at the end, something she could get out of it. Granted, life was its own reward at times.

"Oh, splendid!" The girl sighed in relief. Something about her voice sounded weary and unsettled. Something on her mind, maybe? "Well, go on then. You've been asleep long enough. Just ... wake up."

Versace didn't even manage to get another word in before the prismatic plane dissolved into mist and restful light. A sudden heaviness caught her eyelids, coaxing her into slumber.

Regan was in a world of blackness. All that she could see was hazy and blurry, and there was a heavyness to her eyes as if she wanted to sleep, but couldn't. Is this what death felt like? Well, it was certainly not what she had expected.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

What? She looked around furiously for the origin of the voice and found it soon after. There was a person there, a bright white in a sea of darkness. Their form was vivid, yet hazy, as Regan still felt half awake, or half asleep. The creature had long, flowing silver hair, striking blue eyes, and formal white clothing. As they reached to help her up, Regan noticed the three silver rings on one finger. They were so striking; Regan couldn't keep her eyes away from them. "Who...who are you?" She asked curiously.

"Only a humble creature in desperate need of assistance. We are in danger." They said simply in a neutral tone. "The world has been destroyed now, by forces greater than we could have imagined. With our blessing, we request you restore it. Seek out the Bringer of Life." Their form suddenly began to get blurrier.

"Bringer of Life? Whoa whoa whoa! What? What is going on!?" The woman reached to grab the person's arm, but they were disappearing into a white mist, and her hand grabbed empty air. She could only hear their voice now.

"Do not be afraid. You will awaken beside the others soon. Good luck."

Regan could only stare at the fading mist, bewildered. She had so many questions. What had possessed them to choose her? What did they mean "the world has been destroyed"? Or that they had given their blessing? Who were they? She hadn't gotten a straight answer out of them, and they had come and gone so quickly. There was no way to ask her questions now, as the black haze had disappeared, and she was forced to wake up, greeted by a more familiar voice this time as she blinked her eyes open.

"Err, Rosie? Where are we?"

Riko...
It was her beloved. She had to get up now.

Darkness.

Oh, how he hated the darkness. It reminded him of his childhood.

He took a deep breath in. Then out.

He glanced around, his azure eyes darting across the inky abyss. Nothing.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

He flinched. he hadn't been expecting that. He turned. Ah, that was why. He was facing the wrong direction.

the outline of the person's body was glowing with a faint white light, but he couldn't quite make out all their features. he could only point out the basic details, such as their neck-length grayish-black hair, and their flowing white robes, not too far off from the outfits of martial arts masters from the Murim novels he often read, and their clear blue eyes, the color of the ocean. His arms were crossed over his chest.

"Great costume, man. You really look ready for Animecon."

The man tilted his head slightly. Why were his hair and robes flowing like that? Like water.

"What is a... Anime Con? You humans are strange."

"Don't worry about it, man. Ain't important."

Kendo waved him to move on.

"It was just an observation. carry on with your monologue, good sir. You were saying something about Aid? Well, you came to the right man. I'm good at everything, after all."

The man stared at him for a moment.

"Al...right. I'ven't much time, so listen carefully, human."

"Right, listening. I'm good at that. Okay. Alright. Absolutel-"

"The world as you know it is gone, human. This is no time for jokes. The bringer of death has destroyed your world. Of course, it is not their fault, it is their nature, after all. But, human, this is not everlasting. Thou must seek out the lifegiver of Kalos to reverse the destruction that hath befallen your worl-"

"Did you change your accent on purp-"

"Shut up."

"Rude."

"Ahem. As I was saying, you need to find the Lifegiver of Kalos. Do not worry, human, you will not be alone. Other humans with the blessings of beings such as myself shall accompany you. Now, give me an answer human. Will you help us or n-"

"Nah."

The man blinked.

"...What?"

kendo shrugged, adjusting his baseball cap, flicking a strand of hair out of his face.

"Don't feel like it. Seems like a lot of work."

"You.... You don't have a choice, human."

"Pretty sure I do. You explicitly stated I had two options. What're you gonna do about it, hm?"

The man sighed.

"There is no time for this! Just agree, you foolish human."

Kendo sighed in return, rolling his azure eyes.

"You're no fun, old man. Fine, i accept. Whatever."

"Finally! Get out of here, annoying human. I can't believe I have to give this man my blessing."

Before he could protest, his eyes grew heavy, sending him deep into sleep. Or out of it. He wasn't quite sure how that worked. Did you wake up if you fell asleep while sleeping?

Or is it
weakness?

Federico was like a bird without a nest, gliding endlessly in the immeasurable depths of darkness. This doesn't make sense - none of it does. Was this a dream? Why did it feel like something was pulling in his chest, pulling him further and further inside this emptiness? There has to be an answer to this questioning state of existence. That was when he tried to open his eyes. It was difficult and needed a second go. Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes-

-and what stared back was an elderly figure, sprinkled with age and knowledge beyond comprehension. The most striking attribute of his appearance would be their height; a clear 2 feet taller than he was. The clothing they wear looked more like decorated armor than any comfortable piece of clothing. It wasn't a spirit- well Federico didn't think so. It looked corporeal enough. Although given where he is, he couldn't be too sure. Before Federico could say a word, a thought wedged its way inside his head, a voice that wasn't his.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

The trainer blinked. Was the person in front of him saying this? The voice sounded like it resonated throughout his entire body, coated in authority and seriousness in the situation at hand. Federico waited for more, yet nothing came, a still silence between the two. A wall of stress augmented inside his throat, opening his mouth to speak. "Come seek my aid? What's going on? What happened?"

"The world has ended, yet you survived. We need your assistance to set the world back."

That was- quite morbid. What happened? The last thing he remembered was that a blistering bursting beam of light came out of nowhere and that he duck and covered with Kia, shielding her from the terrible incident. As he pondered, trying to reconnect the dots, the legendary continued.

"Seek the Bringer of Life, and recover the world back to its original state. There are other survivors like you. It is a precipitous journey, yet you are our only hope." They were laconic, each word and sillablye concise. There was a sturidness to it

Federico nodded his head in a slow measured way, his head swamped with thoughts. He needed to get to the bottom of this. Who on Earth could have even caused such destruction? Whatever it was, he needed to stop them, no matter what. Swollen with determination, he looked at the legendary with a resolute gaze, speaking before the Legendary could mutter another word.

"I'd be glad to help you. I don't want this world to be a wretched place. To hear the birds sing and for flowers to bloom is more than enough! I'm in this 100%." The legendary didn't expect that much enthusiasm, but he didn't oppose it. Made his job easier. Federico could feel his world suddenly cave into him, his surroundings becoming a mess of blurs and shades, thrown into a world he wasn't familiar with.

"Good luck."

Val pushed herself to her feet, finding her mind to be spinning. It only clicked now that what she'd seen was the work of one of Sinnoh's deities; it had to be. However, she'd barely paid any attention when it came to the region's pantheon, and she cursed herself for it now. Perhaps she'd find these other 'heroes' and ask questions, but for now, she needed to figure out a course of action.

She moved one hand to her head, resting her palm against the soft skin on her forehead. Just a step away was her fedora, which she leaned down to swipe off of the ground. The former contest star glanced around her immediate area; it didn't seem as if she was alone, but to what capacity? She shivered at the idea of opening a random door to find the remains of those killed by the blast.

"Hello?" Val called from her high-perch, her head now stuck between the rusty red bars at the back of the station. "Is anyone down there?"

Without waiting for so much as a response, she already began to move; her trenchcoat dress billowed out behind her as she hurried down the staircase leading to the main plaza of the quiet town.

Kendo was on the ground, his arms outstretched, staring up at the sky.

terrible. He felt terrible.

He pushed himself off the floor, upon awaking, groaning.

What a wacky dream. An old man from a martial arts flick granting him powers? Ridiculous.

He glanced around. His baseball cap lay on the ground beside him. He picked it up, dusted it off, and placed it on his head, neatly tucking his messy hair under it.

"Hello? Is anyone down there?"

Another person. Great.

He supposed it was time to act all friendly, again.

He looked around. A bench was to the side, which he took a seat on. He crossed his legs, resting his arms on the backrest of the bench.

To be completely honest, he could care less about other people, but he supposed it was necessary to cooperate with others in order to take on this god-given quest. Simply wonderful.

He forced himself to smile as naturally as possible, as he spotted the figure in the distance. He glanced around. There were plenty more people, scattered all around.

Leo Baskerville | Blessed by Eon's Gentle Blade
Blackened Wings of Knowledge | Location: Couriway Town, North Eastern Outskirts

With a violent jolt, Leo lurched out of the field he was resting on very nearly tumbling into the winding canals that wound around the town. Falling on his knees, Leo took in gasping breaths, still feeling the sensation of free-falling through the sky before the ground suddenly rushed up to meet him and break his descent in a splatter of warm reds and pale blues. He could still feel his stomach rolling as he steadied himself on the solid earth under his hands. To his right he could see a train station and there seemed to be some movement from there though he was much too preoccupied with catching his breath to care. There was a wet nose that pushed against his cheek, a rough tongue running over his skin in a familiar comforting motion and Leo's breath hitched as his hands came up to bury themselves in golden fur. Lifting his face, Leo squinted as he tried to look just beyond the lazily flowing river over the lip of the cliff, relief settling lightly in his stomach as he realized that there was...

"Leo! Are you okay now? Stay right there, I'm coming over!"

An idiot. Leo sighed as he gingerly eased himself onto the floor, stretching out his legs. Immediately as the unofficial invitation was sent, Statice leapt into his lap, the Hisuian Growlithe panting excitedly and Leo busied his hands with stroking his soft fur. He wasn't looking forward to whatever lecture would be in store for him but for now he'd just relax. Or as much as he can wearing stuffy slacks and an overcoat. He really hated having to attend those stupid professor academic meetings... Well, with the end of the world at least he didn't have to attend any of those anymore. Praise Arceus for that.

Elliot Baskerville | Blessed by Eon's Stalwart Shield
Blue Rose of Justice | Location: Couriway Town, North Eastern Outskirts

Opening his eyes to a bright cloudless sky, Elliot briefly wondered if he had truly returned to the waking realm. It seemed so, there was grass tickling the back of his hands and the gurgling water nearby that had been absent from the odd dream. Rolling over, he groaned at his own aching limbs and pounding head as he contemplated what that dream was. He wasn't all that well versed with pokemon or legends outside of Sinnoh and Galar, leaving the academic specifics to Leo while he lived a normal life for once, but he was pretty sure whatever girl was there in his dream wasn't human. A Pokemon then? He was aware of pokemon that gained sentience from objects but from a creature to a human was quite different from your run of the mill Honedge. As he mulled over it, he suddenly jolted into action as he took a look around his surroundings. That girl had said something about his Professor friend and there was only one person that could be.

There, on the rocks above. How Leo had managed to get up there was beyond Elliot's comprehension but hey, Leo was still alive and Elliot couldn't ask for anything else. Even if he was oddly still, that wasn't much of a problem as long as he was alive. But first... where even were they? Observing the seemingly empty surroundings, Elliot could only really see one person collapsed by the Main Plaza but he was pretty far away, and to get to him Elliot would have to take a plunge into the water. No thanks.

A dull thud from above had Elliot immediately snapping his head over to the sound and he found Leo kneeling over in a dead faint, ragged breaths heaving his shoulders in unnatural jerks and jostling. It wasn't hard for Elliot to recognize the abrupt change from dream to reality as the cause for Leo's panic. What a troublesome person Leo was, Elliot sighed fondly as he brought his hands down to check which pokemon he had on him. Nightray, Demios, Raven... There he was, hands closing over an old pokeball chipped at its corners and wearing its age with pride.

Aiming carefully, he made sure that the ball arced gracefully over the cliff face and drop on the grassy plains beside Leo's trembling form still hunched over in panic. He didn't have to wait long as with a flash of light that seemed almost dull in comparison to the one that had ended their lonely world revealed the fluffiest dog ever. One would have to have a heart as hard as a Steelix to not admit that the Growlithe was an absolute cutie as it bounded over to Leo, nudging the shaking professor gently. It took longer than what Elliot would like, standing back unable to do anything as he watched Leo suffer but when purple finally met blue and Leo's gaze finally focused enough to have his face relax at the spot of familiarity, the knot of anxiety loosened within Elliot's chest and he began to try and find a way up to Leo, all while assuring the other that he would be there soon.

First, climbing the damn cliff that was separating them despite the waterfalls cascading down it.

Jasmine had died. She was sure of it. The world had come to an end as the machine exploded or whatever. She was dead. And yet she was dreaming. Jasmine found herself amongst a field of lilies. How ironic. Wasn’t she dead? Besides, the last she recalled, her name was still Jasmine. Jasmine sat up, looking around, hoping to gain some sort of clue that would enlighten her on where she was. In the distance, she spotted a weeping willow. Long, graceful tendrils formed an arch, creating a round canopy that grazed the ground gently. Light green leaves shimmered with silver, as if dipped in moonlight. Underneath it stood a humanoid figure, with wavy, cyan colored hair that reminded Jasmine of the wavy sea she used to draw when she was younger. As the woman turned, Jasmine noticed that she had two rings with vibrant red rubies on her left hand. She was wearing a plain grey frock and at the centre of her forehead was another red jewel. She looked as if she would be very pretty, yet her beauty was hidden by her weary look, as if she had carried a burden and sought desperately to lighten it. Curious, Jasmine inches closer to what she assumed was a woman.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

The voice was soft, and tired, as if she was straining to get the words out. “What? Why? I’m dead already, I’m sure you know that. Why me?” Jasmine asks, backing away now. No way was she going to give herself more work. Couldn’t she have some peace now that she was dead? The woman sighs, walking closer to her.

“Please, help us. Seek out the Bringer of Life and help restore balance to this ruined world. You are….special. You should have died, but yet you stand before me, alive and well. There are others- you won’t be alone in this mission. I….believe in you. Prove me right, and go save the world on my behalf. I don’t have long left, so I’m leaving you with a blessing. Make good use of it. I can’t explain further, but just trust me. You’re the only hope for the world…”

Jasmine looked uncertain, staring at the fading figure before her. She hesitated, wanting to ask this being a few more questions. Raven black eyes stared into bright yellow ones, as Jasmine clutched the hands of the fading girl. The longer she idled, the weaker the girl looked. She sighed, thinking: Here we go again. You have no idea what you’re getting yourself into, do you, Jasmine? “I will…” she agrees, reluctantly, as the girl before her closes her eyes with relief and dissipates into sparkles, calling out once more.

“Really, thank you for your help. Now you should wake- ”

Wake up? What a ridiculous idea. Wasn’t she already ‘awake’? Her eyes grew heavy with sleep, and she lay down, drifting away into reality.

Federico could feel his head swirling as if he had walked out of a washing machine, struggling to make sense of his surroundings and recollect what had happened. Resting on his back, he could feel the sun beaming on his face, the winding wind flowing against his fallen body. He was about to pick himself back up, only to find a weight resting on his chest. His eyes flicked down, laid down on his partner, Kia. His body was still, unsure if she was alright. Her eyes were closed, and she didn't seem to be moving, although he can feel her steady heartbeat, slow and rhythmic. He pushed himself up, scooping the Minun in his arms before placing her down on the floor, back resting on the ground. Quick as a Furret, he rumbled through his bag, wrestling out a water bottle.

Perhaps this wasn't the best idea, but Federico wasn't thinking straight. He couldn't fathom his Pokemon like this, fainted right before him. Without even watching his surroundings to check if there were any dangers, he unscrewed the bottle and lifted the Minun up to be sitting upright, not wanting her to choke. He shifted the bottle in her mouth, letting gravity do the work, letting the water enter her system. It took a second, but the Pokemon woke up with a cough, gasping for air. Federico patted her back, letting it all out, just relieved his partner didn't seem to take any permanent damage. A flood of relief washed over his body, a goofy smile plastered on his face. "Can you walk?" He muttered, watching his Pokemon respond with a smile on her own, picking herself back up on her two feet. The trainer let out a laugh, giving his partner a warm hug, before letting her climb on his shoulder.

His smile was now gone, taking two sweeping looks from the left and the right, checking his surroundings to see if there was anyone nearby. There were a few people, but they were some distance away. Flanking his left was a Pokemon Center, although, given that this was the end of the world, he couldn't be too sure if it still worked. The Minun was confused why there was barely any kind of civilization around. The town was barren. What happened? That was something Federico would need to explain later.

Regan opened her eyes, immediately greeted by the white, blinding light of the sun shining directly onto her face. The sounds of rushing water were all around her, and as she came to her senses, she realized it was coming from the waterfalls surrounding the town. The sight of water was calming, peaceful, even if the rest of the land had been desolated. She also found herself looking directly into the eyes of Riko, her best friend and partner. The beautiful Ninetales flicked her long golden tails gracefully. There was a certain poise to the way she sat in front of Regan, a look she achieved naturally. Her master took a second to faun over the gorgeous creature before thinking to answer her question. "If I had to guess, Couriway town. Though it looks so different now." She replied, rubbing her eyes. Riko and Regan had been friends since their very early childhoods. They had grown a bond so strong that they could actually hold full conversation with one another. It was an almost telepathic connection. A bond most other trainers may never share.

Regan forced herself to her feet, scanning the town, as well as trying to make sense of her dream. There had been something...off about it. It had seemed so vivid, almost real. And surely, she was supposed to be dead, right? That team Flare bozo had set of the weapon set to 'purify' the world, destroying all life in order to achieve a fresh start. Why had she and Riko been spared? And that person in her dream...who were they? Had they really given her some kind of blessing? Were they even human? There had been something mystical about the being...though she couldn't make sense of it. Regan wasn't a very superstitious person, preferring to think logically in any given scenario. Some ghost visiting her and saving her life did seem unlikely...and yet here she was, alive. Unless her and her dear friend were trapped in some kind of eternal hell.

The woman thought to feel her waste, and realized Riko might not be the only of her precious Pokémon to be 'blessed'. She could feel the pokeballs of her other party members too. Just to make sure, she pulled out Roxanne's pokeball, pressing the button in the center, and letting the Houndoom out.

Roxane blinked, looking around at the strange surroundings, and taking a deep breath through her nostrils, clearly sensing the strong smell of death. She growled, a clear indication she did not appreciate what she observed. Regan, on the other hand, was just happy that her Pokémon was alive. She wrapped her arms affectionately around the canine's shoulders, taking a deep breath in. "I'm so glad you're all alive. I thought he would have gotten you." The tall woman whispered to her beloved. She proceeded to earn a stalwart grunt from Roxie, as if to say, "Not me." Roxane, like the other Pokémon in Regan's party, while close with their master, didn't quite share the same connection that Riko and Regan shared, often needing to be interpreted or translated by Riko when they want to say something. It worked out alright, in any case. Regan certainly didn't love them less. All fire type Pokémon more than deserved her love, especially the ones that had stuck it out with her this long.

"Right." Regan declared decisively. "I think we should get moving." To where, she wasn't sure. However, she was certain they needed to keep moving. There had to be something for them; and if that dream really was some kind of divine intervention, then she should be meeting the 'other blessed' somewhere nearby. She heard grunts of acknowledgement from her companions, and they headed off toward the train station.

When Jasmine next opened her eyes, she was lying inelegantly on a park bench. Getting up hastily, she dusted off her dress, hoping that no one had seen her. For how long had she been lying there? How embarrassing. Oh….and what a curious dream she had. Jasmine had dreamt many curious and fantastical dreams before, but none of them compared to the one she just woke up from. Perhaps she was delusional, and she’d actually wake up soon…..No, it couldn’t be. Call it wishful thinking, but somehow, Jasmine knew that she had survived the explosion. She recollected her senses and looked around. This was most likely Couriway Town, she decided. Despite being from Kalos herself, she’d never been good at geography, and sucked with directions. She’d always depended on Andrea to decide where to go……..

Damnit…where was her Pokémon? There was Kaili, hovering in the air, with Chloe sitting below her, licking her paws. Seeing that she was awake, the two approached her, the Kirila flying in happy circles around Jasmine. The girl smiled, before looking around for the other two. She didn’t have to look far, as Zoey bounded into view, a berry between its paws. “Zoey, where did you get that from?” asks Jasmine. The Axew doesn’t reply, instead happily continuing to munch on the berry. Clara isn’t far behind either, trumpeting loudly in greeting. Jasmine sighs, scooping Clara and Zoey into her arms, gesturing for the other two to follow her.

Blink. Once. Twice. Thrice.
The blinding light slowly faded, Liam's arms lowering cautiously as his eyes began to adjust to the dimness of the strange, blurry room he found himself in. Once his vision had become accustomed, he looked around the dismal-looking area. The walls appeared grungy, rotten and decayed in places, and there were enough holes that it lent the room a far more horrifying quality than it normally would. Especially with the lighting being so dim, the flickering almost unnerving.

A man, incredibly dark of complexion and pale of hair, with an almost ethereal quality to him, sat on the lone chair in the room. His apparel looked out of place and time, a tattered, old black suit from at least a hundred years in the past, though nary a speck of dust could be seen upon him. An expression of pity crossed his face, before he checked an old pocket watch. "You're right on time, Wielder of Pokemon. I require your...services, and I'm afraid there isn't much you can say to..." He trailed off as Liam held up a hand, the expression on his pale face one of determination. "If it gets me away from my family, I'll do whatever you ask."

The man smiled then, eyes glancing over the thin boy of 19 before him, before rising to hold out a hand. "It has been some time since I've met one who was...amenable to what I wanted done." Liam was slow in his approach, wary of this strange, unearthly individual, but grasped the outstretched hand firmly in his own. Much, of course, to the delight of the stranger. "Oh, yes, you'll do nicely indeed. And you deserve my boon." There was a predatory smile upon the face of the ebony man, eyes aglow...and glowing brighter by the second. "I do apologize for what will happen now...but you'll understand. You...ar.........venge........"

Everything began to spin, the voice fading, the grip still firm...and Liam immediately blacked out.

Rei Satomo

Location: Dreamscape...? ---> Couriway town.

Rei woke up on the ground, dirt and dust all over his clothes. He started to slowly get up, holding his head both in cofusion and in pain. "The hell am I...?" was the only thought they could mutter before they fully regained their vision.

It seemed that Rei was in a abadoned city or building of sorts..? Floating tall structures seemed to be in construction and yet, no one was working. Rei stood up slowly, dusting off some of the dirt and dust and started to do some investigating. It looks like that some scrap metal and other constructional materials were forgotten and left there to rust till the end of time itself and what was even worse was that There weren't even any signs of life either.

But whatever, might as well look around this place to kill some time. The man thought, walking around the room to find anything to do. He also noticed another ominous thing, there seem to be another city above that reflected the one below, and yet it was upside down and completed..?? This place really is weird huh?

Just as Rei was going to approach the slightly broken railway to take a closer look in this world, a voice appeared right behind him.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

The Tall Man jumped in suprise like a cat before looking at the other person. They had long Silver hair, pal skin, eyes that resembled the stars themselves, long purple dress with lavender silk running on its back. They also had somewhat long purple horns with what could be described as earrings on its ends.

"First if all, Who are You. And Second of all, Where am I and What am I doing here." He said in a Stern voice, making eye vontact as they waited for a response.

(If you cant picture an idea of what the mysterious figure looks like, just imagine this design but with some stars scattered on the dress)

"My apologies," The figure spoke in a soft, soothing voice, like the calm waves of a beautiful night in the sea. "I am not allowed to tell who I am, but, You are here for an important reason." as The Figure spoke, it approached a table filled with dust and some books inside, as they blowed most of the dust out and caress it gently. "You see, Kalos is in grave danger, all because of Lysander and Team Flare's secret plan to destroy this current world and to make their perfect, idealistic world." The Figure explained, now grabbing one of the papers on the table and trying to look into it. Rei truly didn't have any words, only small and confused thoughts "Why me?" "How the hell am i supposed to "save the world" from a literal multi-millionare organization and over a dozen grunts?"

"There is no need to worry though, as there are others like you who have also been told that they must help defeat Team Flare too. And lastly, you have been blessed by someone, with abilities you have to discover on Your journey." A small smile was visible on The Figures face as they waved goodbye to Rei, who had no time to react when he passed out once again.

Soars across the Milky Way, carrying travelers, a dream"

Alarik wasn't certain what he should have expected from...dying. He had expected it to be more painful, to be honest. A flash of light, searing pain piercing through your body, and then peace. This was not that at all. Instead he had simply blacked out, and awoke upon what appeared to be the top of a very old, tall and dusty tower. He pulled himself to a sitting position, rubbing his eyes, and as he slowly came to his senses, he noticed a woman with piercing yellow eyes was patiently watching him. She had strange, green hair, fading at the tips to a sharp black, a long emerald trench coat, and black leather pants.

"Erm, hello?" He greeted nervously. There was something ethereal about the stranger; she looked beautiful, almost impossibly so.

"Wielder of Pokemon, we come seeking your aid."

That was the reply. At her words, some force gently lifted Alarik up to his feet so he could make proper eye contact with the woman. "Oh? Sorry to say then, ma'am, but I'm pretty sure I'm dead." He informed her. She tilted her head, as if confused.

"No, you have received our blessing. All is not lost, but the world is in grave danger. We are almost powerless to help, so we must ask for your services. With you I send my gift, as well as a promise that you will not be alone in this."

At her elaboration, the world around him seemed to fade, and Alarik experienced the familiar sensation of waking up from a dream. When he opened his eyes, he found himself in Kalos, in a town with beautiful buildings and even more beautiful waterfalls surrounding it. "Er...okay." He groaned, picking himself up.

Warmth. It was the first thing Liam noticed as he started to come to. Immediately after, the sound of running water, a stream or...a waterfall? He couldn't be sure, as his hearing was somewhat distorted at the moment. Next came the feeling of soft fur under his fingers, and a gentle though familiar grumbling followed the flexing of his digits. Any attempts to sit up would be futile, of course, as the noise meant Abbie was sound asleep...and pinning him to the grass beneath him. <Well, guess I'm not going anywhere. Least I don't have to use the bathroom.> Slowly, Liam cracked an eye open as he turned his head, hoping to catch a glimpse of where he'd ended up this time.

Considering that he remembered meeting that unusual man, could still feel his grip, it was a sure sign he was far enough from his family to be safe. Which also meant he could relax and not have to worry about showing up at the house to keep up appearances before being dropped in the middle of whatever wilderness his parents decided was the most dangerous the next time. The second his gaze fell on the town to his East, and the waterfalls, though, he drew in a sharp breath. <...I am definitely not in Sinnoh anymore.> On the bright side, it also meant he'd never see those wretched people again. A thought occurred as he considered his options, and he did his best to shift the Absol without waking her so he could sit up. Whatever that flash he remembered had been...the chances were good it was from an explosion, and his mysterious benefactor had whisked him away while leaving his parents and siblings to their well-deserved fate.

It was enough to bring a smile to his face, albeit briefly, before he winced. He'd actually forgotten about being punched in the jaw, and it still hurt somewhat. Gingerly, Liam brought a hand up to massage what he assumed was going to be a very noticeable bruise, before sighing. At least he still had his jacket, which meant he could hide as much of the damage as the shadows allowed. No sense having anyone worry about his physical health when he couldn't trust other humans, right? For a moment, he reviewed his memories of every time another human had tried to "help"...or at least, he tried to, his eyebrows furrowing as he failed to recall anyone other than those who had genuinely caused him grievous harm. Frustrating though it was, the missing memories were likely also because of the man whose skin could pass for darkness itself. And if that were the case, it was possible that He wanted Liam to only remember the truly rotten people in a bad light.

<Guess I can live with that, though it's only an assumption.> Liam thought, pulling himself into an upright position so he could look around easier. Nearby, however, two pairs of footsteps caught his attention, and he turned just as Horace and Dee came into view, their arms filled with a varied assortment of berries. The Hypno and Indeedee had left him in the care of Abbie, though she had dozed when no threat had presented itself. Which meant...the area was safe enough for them to stay for a while.

Almost immediately after both Pokémon came back, however, Liam's body coursed with pain, and a flood of thoughts and memories hit him hard. Information about the state of the world, what was needed of him...so much, in fact, that it was a relief when he passed out again.

Mitsuri Alkaloid

Location: Dreamscape...? ---> Couriway town.

Mitsuri slowly opened their eyes, yawning softly before rubbing them and stretch their arms. As soon as they open their eyes however, they quickly shut them as it seemed the lights in wherever they were was too bright. "Ouch..." They spoke before opening them once again and fully regaining vision.

"Wowiee..." Was the only thing Mitsuri muttered out as they look around the place in amazement. It seems that they were in some Forest? The place glowed a soft blue. Blue vegitation, plants and mushrooms seemingly helped light up the what could have been dark and scary forest.

Looking around, it seemed as if no one aside from them was here... They think. No animals or inscts too so this place was 100% weird, to them atleast.

Mitsuri was just about to explore more of the place when suddenly, a voice appeared from the right of their shoulder.

"Wielder of Pokémon. We come seeking your aid."

The Pink haired person let out a loud "EEEP!" before realizing who was next to them. It was a tall man, soft blonde hair, sharp light blue eyes. Their clothes seemed to be elegant and noble. A Long cape that could've reached the floor moved smoothly and insanely long boots that reached up to his pants reflected the lights. Even a small crown dazzled on his head. It looked Magestical to the point Mitsuri couldn't put it into words.

(Hehe, sneaked in what the clothes looked like (Its Here))

"Uhm... Hello? What do you need help with exactly??" Mitsuri's head titled in confusion. The tall man sighed before starting to walk towards the left path of the forest but then looked behind him and sternly said "Follow me. I'll explain it to you as we walk." Mitsuri immeditely nodded and follow them.

"You might be wondering why you are here, and the reason is simple." The man stopped for a moment before looking at the Pink haired guy "You are currently unconscious and in a world made up of your True inner feelings. You'll soon wake up after awhile." To say Mitsuri was shocked, would be an understatement. "Well then, who are you?!" They said Looking directly and making eye contact with the taller man "Apologies, but im not allowed to say who i am. But i do have to say that you've been chosen as one of the saviour of this world and you have been blessed by someone with special abilities you'll discover soon with the other chosen ones."

As he spoke, the world and enviroment started to crumble into dust, including the tall man. "Ah, it seems my time is up. We'll meet again someday." He looked into Mitsuri at the last part before they finally woke up.

Leo and Elliot | Blessed by the Eons
Hair-trigger Hearts of Compassion| Location: Couriway Town, North Eastern Outskirts

As Statice sat in his lap, hands gently stroking the soft fur distractedly, Leo took the time to glace around him, taking in the surroundings. He had only been to Galar once for a conference that really could have stayed as a video call so he could recognize the plants and topography as being quite Galarian in nature yet which city specifically it was, he was still attempting to figure out. The lingering feeling of falling still made him shudder yet his racing heart was beginning to level out in a steady thump, settling down in its self made cage. Burying his hands in the soft fur, Leo gently positioned Statice so that she was facing him, hands squishing and smooshing her. "What a good girl we have." He giggled, forcing her face into weird and silly positions as she whined in protest.

The crack of a pokeball and a flutter of feathers was all Leo need to roll his eyes, holding Statice close. The night fell over him as darkened wings blotted out his sun. "Leo, are you alright?" An obnoxious voice called and he didn't give the other a satisfaction of a proper answer, simply grunting and playing with Statice. Elliot was so annoying, yabbering on and on while doing his best to play hero. Why did he feel the need to take Raven out of her capsule and fly up? Incorrigible, especially when he slid off the giant corvid's back to approach him and a splitting headache began to form. Ah, how could he have been so stupid? Of course that blue boy must have been Latios.

While he hadn't studied Hoenn as extensively as he had Sinnoh, he did do basic research into the phenomenon called Mega Evolution that seemed to have also affected modern day Sinnoh pokemon but not Hisui. The Eon duo had been a pair that seemed to hold some of the most history pertaining that phenomena along with the Elemental Trio and there had been records of Latias showing itself before scribes in a humanoid form. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Latios possessed the same abilities as its counterpart which only brought to light the reasoning behind the Legendary's callus attitude. Leo was aware that he wasn't perhaps the most compassionate, something that Latios held in high regard. It only then made sense that the only reason why both he and Elliot were still alive despite remembering the flash of light followed by an unbearable heat that penetrated past cloth and skin and seared organs and soul was because they were saved by these Legendaries. The boy's words rang in his head, and suddenly everything seemed to come together.

Watching Leo mumble to himself, a telltale sign of another weird research based train of thought that would last at least a few new papers and a potential dissertation, Elliot sighed as he watched with undisguised fondness. It was almost endearing how lost in theories and potentials Leo could immerse himself into but right now wasn't the right time for such academic musings. But before he could start his 80 step process on how to how to draw his best friend out of his academia brain fog, a deceptively wiry hand shot out and grasped his arm and yanked him down. "Latias." He declared, fathomless eyes staring past thick rimmed glasses and past Elliot. When he didn't reply, stunned into silence by this unusual behavior, Leo clicked his tongue the rising annoyance biting his words into sharp points. "Latias, She who Hides, The Eon Pokemon. You met it didn't you, don't just stand there with a bugcatcher on your face."

Elliot took a moment to ponder the question. If he thought about it, it made sense that the strange girl was Latias. "I suppose I did, yes." He hurriedly replied when Leo snapped his fingers in front of his face, the impatience boiling over into a mess of frustration and growls. "But what does that have to do with this? Are you alright? I think Statice might need to help you a little more."

"I don't need her! Or you, for that matter!" Leo snarled, though the fact that Statice was sprawled firmly over his lap and his hands hadn't stopped playing with her fur attesting to the contrary. "I'm sick of you hounding after me like I can't take care of myself, like I'm a child. I'm not the Charity Case you picked up at school just because you pitied me so go walk into a swarm of Driftloon for all I care."

Leo didn't know where all this vitriol was pouring out of and by the raised eyebrow, Elliot was just as surprised. "Well then, I'll leave you to your temper tantrum then Mr. Hotshot." He huffed, crossing his arms and stomping back towards Raven, her armoured body glittering in the sunlight as she cooed worriedly. "If you don't need me then I'll just leave. Who needs you either?" Sitting straddle atop his partner, Elliot glanced back to meet a burning gaze. It was almost instinct to throw three pokeballs down and catch the one returned to him before taking off, switching their teams around as easily as breathing.

Whatever, Elliot sulked as Raven took off to explore the town and if there were others still alive. Who needs a self absorbed jerk who couldn't even say thank you as a friend? This wouldn't be the first time they fight nor the last anyways.

Title: everyone was asleep (except for me)

xxxxxxxx

Vanessa Rainn Delacourt

27 - female - chosen of mespirit - daughter of pathos

"I am -wooooahhh!!" A shrill cry that could've scattered Starley in earshot from their roosts in the bright Sinnoh sky echoed from a woman's perch on the roof of a house. The unfortunate daughter of pathos took a wary step backwards, not at all pleased with her location and manner of waking. Lowering herself on legs already wobbly from vertigo and dizziness, she examined the two story gap that separated the deep grey shingling platform she was on from solid ground. Judging by the downward slope of the surface and the sharp peaks rising nearby, Vanessa inferred she was on the roof of a house in a pseudo-suburban residential area. Had this been an occasion other than a post-apocalyptic-surreal-dream-vision scramble, she might have been amused. How fitting that the Lady of Emotion's sense of humor was so well-developed in her dealings with mortals.

First things first, however, the ravenette trainer had to figure out how to safely traverse the sizable vertical gap before her, taking the design of the house into account. On both sides, the roof dropped off into a steep downwards slope. However, she could see a secondary roof platform to her left, which likely offered better prospects of a safe landing. Vanessa's mouth went dry as she stared off the edge. At best, she would land directly on the roof and potentially slide off the shingling. At worst, she would overshoot, and likely break a leg or arm on the ground. Either way, she wouldn't be stuck on the roof. Tension coiled in her stomach as she inched closer to the ledge. This could either go really really well, or really really poorly.

It would be so silly for a god to revive a girl only to witness her demise trying to get down from the roof of a house.

There was no time to worry about the dust that accumulated on the jacket someone had tied on her waist. Inch by inch, she brought herself to the very edge before bunching up into a crouch and allowing herself to simply fall. There was a brief flash of pain as her calves scraped against the roof. What she had imagined to be a hard thump flashed through her as she touched down lightly onto the shingling. Huh, okay it wasn't...as long of a fall as she imagined it to be. Feeling somewhat bemused, Vanessa took a few cautious steps forward to examine the drop in front of her. Well, if it was only one to go. This time, when she landed, the impact was much harder and she wound up tumbling roughly onto the ground below her. Sore all over now and feeling a little embarrassed about her general ungraceful landing, she took the time to dust herself off. What a sore blow this would deal to her image, despite it not being her priority. As she got up, however, her eyes were fixated on the mossy-hued carpet of dead grass.

Clearly, not even the plants or vegetation had been spared the devastation. Eerie silence hovered in the air as she processed the true extent of the damage. Suburban surroundings with locked doors and tinted windows became houses with no one to go back to them. Houses grew into avenues and neighborhoods, silenced forever.

As if on cue, however, Vanessa felt something bump up against her foot. A startled look downwards revealed that she'd stepped into her pokeballs. Stunned, she watched as the balls began to wobble back and forth, the white button on the front flashing red. In unison, the pokeballs burst open like eggs, releasing a massive wave of bright blue and white light.
