Ivy rolled her eyes. It was all theatrics and misdirection with
him, wasn't it? She produced a parchment from her cloak and wrote
back to Kendo.
Oh, so generous. My "benefactor" is a little sword boy
with a pinch of magic? I must be so lucky!
And the listening device was a little less covert than you would
have hoped. But I'll leave it in its place for now~
Maybe it could save my life one day!
~Ivy
"Luminia, I was thinking precisely the same thing!" Ivy flashed
them a dazzling smile. "Also sword boy wrote me a note saying that
rankings are awarded to those in round 5 or higher... I was
thinking it would be more like a Hunger games, but I suppose there
are rounds..."
“You mean Kendo? Should have known,” Luminia grumbled, withdrawing
her magic. “Well, it’s settled then, we’ll be a team! One thing
though, exactly how does the team thing work, since only one of us
can make it to the top?”
"Meh~ ride or die? Odds are we'll be taken out by some other team
anyway. But if we somehow make it to the final three, then we can
count 10 paces and go!" Ivy said, referencing conventional dueling
rules.
Her eyes sparkled and she looked motivated, "Ha i bet i'll win
since im learning how to become the greatest mage in the world" by
her tone she was casually teasing ivy in thinking that she was
better than her. She laughed to herself. "i mean if you can try and
beat me in a duel that is".
`° Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's
soul remains unawakened. °`
Ivy laughed. Nessy had spunk, and she appreciated it.
"Yes we can practice! But girls, let's be realistic," she said.
"Odds are that some team of second and third years will dominate
and split the rankings among themselves..." But then Ivy realized
she was again, underinformed.
"Kendo~" she called out to the air. "Is there a ranking for each
class (a first year king, a second year king, and a third year
king) or is there one for the whole academy?"
"It's impressive for a first year to even get a rank. I'm the
first person in the past 50 years to get Rook as a first year. You
don't need to aim so high. But to answer your question, there is a
king for every grade, then a academy-wide king. You can have
positions in the main "royals" even if you do become the king of
your class."
A note appeared with a flash in Ivy's hands. She read it aloud to
the other girls. Ivy penned a quick response, and teleported it to
him.
Thank you sword boy~
Would you and your boyfriend be willing to form an alliance?
>:)
~Ivy
"Let's primarily aim for first-year ranks, and then worry about
schoolwide ranking. Yes we can practice~ Sobble, another 1st year I
met told me about a training gym somewhere on campus~ Would you
like to look for it?" She directed the question at Nessy and
Luminia.
"Ummmm~ I think it's this way?" she said, turning left. Ivy knew
that the upper years would just as soon as point three first years
in the wrong direction.
if anyone wants to add a random destination on our way cuz we
get lost, go for it
