So, what now? You were pretty much taken away from your lives and forced to listen to a weird instructional speech about you and your special ability, and how it would benefit your side in the war. Pretty sad, isn't it? You live as an abnormal human, having an ability that could lead to world domination, and the one ruling your country is desperately begging you to help them so they can maintain 'peace and rationality'. What they really want, though, is to maintain their power. How are you gonna live with that? Anyways, you've been asked to either hop on a nearby helicoptor to take you into battle, or go into a caravan of vehicles to be taken to your boring government job. Those neutral to the sides or just average civilians would go about their lives, only noticing a new group of people being sent away. While you're on your 'luxurious' ride though, I recommend talking among your fellow power wielders, this will probably be the only time you can make friends in peace. So, you ready to have some fun?

God... that was really weird... He had gotten a seemingly professional letter in the mail that basically threatened him to come, and this is what it led to? What an absolute joke... Dantier had tried his best to avoid anything to do with his power, as so many terrible memories surfaced when he even thought about it. He was greatful to be able to escape Blue, that place was absolute hell, but this place didn't seem much better. He still lived as a constant reminder as one of this world's many screw ups, and he had to suffer for it. He didn't have much of a choice but to come along and fight for his life once again. Yes, the immortal man still had a life to fight for. He would be in a constant loop if he didn't change anything that happened, and doing that for millions of years wasn't fun at all. Besides, he had already tried to escape this hell hole but it always failed. There were 7 billion outcomes that he knew of, yet only one resulted in his life moving forward. It sucked living his life like this, constantly having to die only so he could hopefully live better than how he had before. It was so painful every single time, even if he tried making his death instant. He didn't feel obligated to interact with anyone on the helicopter with him, he already knew so much about each of them anyways. He could say the same about everyone he had met back when he was being tortured to death, their faces engrained in his memory. He had to fight against the ones he suffered with, fight against his own friends, and for what? He didn't really care anymore, all of this was just some excitement to fill his time while he waited for the universe to finally decide he can die. All he had to do was fight alongside soldiers that could die in an instant, then he would be finished. He didn't want to go back to this life again, but his 'president' left him ho choice. Well, nothing left to do now except for going wherever he needed to.

Andrea accepts the suitcase, gets on the helicopter, and plops down on a random seat. She was a spy, not a soldier. Not anymore. Dantier was a soldier, not her. Why was she being dragged along? She sits cross legged, a look of sheer irritation on her face. She was on team Red. But honestly did it really matter at all? Red, Blue, all of it was nonsense. Utter bullshit, in her opinion. A whole bunch of experiments. Freaks. Lab rats. Expected to fix all of the world’s problems, even those that— especially those that weren’t relevant to them. What a pity she wasn’t dead yet. Dantier’s life was twice as miserable. He was unable to die. That was really depressing. At least Dantier too was team red. Then again, why did any of them, red or blue, have to be dragged into this? And the ‘president’— What was up with that None of it made sense. As for how she got her powers….well, her parents were able to control darkness. She just inherited more developed powers. Her nickname was Little Chaos, after her parents, Darkness. Sorry, she meant parent, she didn’t have a father. Not like she knew much about her mother either. Her magic swirled around her, forming a crown of thorns. Fitting. A queen of chaos, just like her, causing destruction and more all around her. Andrea scoffs, and stares at Dantier.

S48A2N5, or more simply known as San, had a routine. He would wake up and untangle himself from the nest of interlaced fabrics that had twisted itself into a ball during the night, making sure to fold each blanket carefully. He would then tidy himself up, remembering to wash down his handful of medications with tap water, and work out until he was needed. If the scientists were feeling nice, then they would let him and the other experiments out into a small confined yard to stretch and play in but most of the time they just made do by themselves. Life wasn't awful in the compound. There was a roof over his head, warm blankets to snuggle in, people to talk to, and a sense of belonging. Everyone was here because they had a purpose. They were here because they were useful and they were wanted. Everyone played a part and San liked that. He was something to the higher ups if it meant that he still got to sleep in his cramped cage and eat tasteless gruel. There was meaning to his existence.

Today, San was halfway through his quad workout when he heard the familiar beep and click of a key card unlocking the door of his room. He only had a few seconds to scramble to the center of the room, back straight and hands held behind his back in perfect attention before the door opened soundlessly. In walked who San considered his least favorite person at the compound. Doctor Ensign as he liked to call him was a stoic man. He never let San run around or have fun, much less play with him or give him pets. Worst of all, he never gave San any of the nice floaty drugs that others would use, forcing him to feel the drag of a blade over his abdomen and the discomfort of drilling into bone. He also liked to use older tools, forgoing the more modern tech that got things done nice a quick.

"S48A2N5, you have an assignment." The doctor drawled, sounding like he wanted to be anywhere but here. San returned the sentiment. "You'll undergo some adjustments before being sent out on the field. You are to act as a spy in our war against Red." He spat the name out like it was poison before turning on his heel and stalking out, locking the door on his way out. Knowing what was going to happen next, San padded back towards his folded blankets and curled up amongst the warmth. He was intrigued. Usually, he was asked to storm into battle, guns blazing and break some bones. To be asked to spy was a new development and he wondered if the higher ups were beginning to realize that he wouldn't run away the moment he wasn't under their supervision. Regardless, it would be something that he hadn't done before and he couldn't help but feel a twinge of worry. He didn't want to mess up. Messing up would mean that he was useless and useless things were always sent away. Closing his eyes, his ears twitched at the tell tale hiss of Gas being released into the room and he let himself go. There was no use in fighting, after all.

When he next woke up, it was to nothing but darkness. Blinking once, twice, and finally a third time, San moved his head to the side. He made a questioning noise at the back of his throat, almost a whine of confusion, but all the came out was a rasp of wind dragging against shredded vocal chords, making San wince. Still it did its job and he heard the click to shoes stop by his head. "Hello SAN-5," Came a kind voice that he immediately recognized. San liked this nurse because he at least used his abbreviated code. Hearing S48A2N5 all day got a bit annoying and his abbreviation reminded him of the other SAN designations. "How are you feeling?" The question made San's brow furrow slightly before a clawed nail tapped against the cold steel table. "It can't see." The nurse called, deciphering the Morse quickly and his message was met with frantic shuffling. Sounds of a scan being taken make his tail flick in response but soon that soon faded and the nurse's voice returned. "We were seeing if we could improve your vision. Your eyes are still adjusting so you'll be blind for an hour at most. Other modifications include changing the fluid in your ears to hopefully improve hearing and adjusting your joints to allow for more flexibility. Your back had to be broken and realigned as your transformations have been contorting it. You've been given medication to bring with you onto the field. Inject yourself with the hyponeedle every day for a week and don't forget to take your medication. New prescriptions have been added." The clinical steady reading of what had happened to him while he was unconscious was almost a relief. At least they hadn't tried to replace his stomach this time. Last time that happened, he had thrown up blood and they had to find another stomach since the other one apparently didn't agree with his immune system. At least with a smaller stomach, he didn't need to eat as much and it fit his feline form much better.

Nodding tiredly along with the nurse as he continued with his report, San felt his eyes drooping. Probably a side effect from all the tinkering the team had done to him. Next time he opened his eyes, San knew that he would be en-route to his latest assignment.

Bree was being followed...
She knew it as soon as their aura entered her 'range of vision.' Her back stiffened ever so slightly when she sensed the powerful aura. At first, she thought she imagined it. Afterall, it had been years since she sensed an aura. Those years had been peaceful. She was away from the bloodshed, the torture, the death. She was away from the sensation of other people's auras, for once it was quiet.
But not anymore...
She was careful to not pick up her pace, instead she kept her attention on the road ahead, it was the same road that she had walked down a hundred times. The familiarity of it kept her instincts from going haywire. That's right, this is your home turf, you have the advantage. With every step, Bree found that she could loosen her grip on her cane. Every second was vital time to plan a surprise attack on her little friend behind her. Who is this person? What do they want? Are they with them?
What a stupid question... Of course they were. Did she really think for a second that the blue group would let her escape? She was such a compliant little pet. Even with all the pain they put her through, she still did her job. She did it perfectly, up until the day when she made her escape. Blending into the human crowd wasn't too difficult. It was easy for her to get use to the peacefulness.
I'm not leaving it! Never-!
It wasn't until Bree got to her small house that she realized that she was in serious trouble. She slowly shut the door behind her, consciously aware of the stranger's aura, now slowly moving towards the back door. No, they weren't the problem. The problem was the person currently in her home. She sucks in a breath and slowly goes to untie her boots. She tries to keep her movements slow and natural. They had yet to realize that Bree spotted them.
The second stranger was in her kitchen. It was exactly nine steps away. She glances towards the kitchen, staring through the wall that divided them both. This stranger was slowly moving towards the end of the wall, obviously intent on surprising her. Bree slowly removes her boots, her hand wrapping around the dagger hidden within the right one. She tunes out the first stranger and focuses on the second. She places a hand on the wall to guide herself towards her target. Nine steps... Her heart pounds with each one. Each step brought her closer to the intruder. She sucks in a breath before reaching the end of the wall. She was tense, prepared to strike. She rounds the corner in one swift movement, screaming out her rage. She pushes the blade forward, warm and sticky blood flies onto her hands and a pained scream follows. A satisfied smirk crosses her lips. Got you!
She turns towards the back door now, her heart lifting when she realizes that her first target had yet to reach it. She could escape! She races towards it, but nearly freezes when she hears a furious roar behind her. The aura of her first target was rapidly moving towards her. How is he so fast!?
She spins around and attempts to fight him, but he was prepared this time. He wraps a hand around her wrist. She tries to wrestle her arm free, but to no avail. She stares at her target with wide eyes. Even in this desperate situation, she couldn't help but stare at the blinding red light within his aura, it was roughly above his stomach- where she must've stabbed him. She felt guilty for harming him, guilty for not healing him. No! Not the time! She reacts quickly, she pulls back and he attempts to follow her movements. She brings a knee up right as he bends down. Her knee slams into his already open wound, the darkly satisfying feeling of blood dripping onto her knee confirms that she had hit her desired target. A string of curses scream out of her target and his grip loosens enough for her to wriggle free.
The back door! Run! She races towards it, a terrified gasp escaping her mouth when she sees the aura of the first person. The door must've been kicked open while she was distracted with her opponent. The person reacts quickly, light shoots towards where their hands would roughly be. Bree freezes, realizing her mistake too late. She tries to turn around, but she doubt even her fast and injured friend could've dodged the blow. The buzzing that fills the air nearly drowns out her terrified scream before electricity fires into her. She falls back, her body paralyzed. Her body begins to tremble from compulsions and terror as two sets of feet slowly advance towards her.
"You used too little power" her injured opponent growls. "Why is she still awake?"
"Relax" a cool voice says. "I wanted to make sure I didn't kill her."
"Relax!? She stabbed me! She-" the man sighs and carefully picks Bree up. All the while, Bree desperately tries to heal herself, desperately tries to move. She only needed a minute then she'd show them! She'd-
"Hello Bree" the woman who shocked her whispers in her ear. She jumps in surprise, having not noticed that she had gotten so close. "Long time no see" she whispers before placing a hand over her head and activating her power. Pain fires through her, then everything goes dark.

Rey sat on his room, staring into space. The empty, white walls seemed to get smaller every day, with nothing in between them other than the constantly locked door, desk, chair and bed. He had been staying in this room, if you could call it a room, for a year now. On the desk laid a folder, awaiting his next mission. He would be sent away to fight in the great war. This was probably his last mission, but at this point, it wasn't like he had anything to lose.

A year ago, he had woken up in a lab, without any memory of his past, if he had any in the first place. Apparently, he was the imperfect prototype for a trump card for Red. Supposed to be able to use all powers at will, yada yada. Not sure what quack scientists Red hired, but it didn't work. Rey did have the power to use all powers, but his powers will activate randomly, which makes it pretty much useless. Undergoing much training, Rey tried to master his power, but it seemed that the problem couldn't be solved. Now, he's just sitting here, with nothing to gain, nothing to lose, just awaiting his next mission. This mission, though sounding almost cheerful, made Rey understand that it was probably his last mission after all. To fight a war, sounded like a valiant death for him, a brilliant ending to his dull life that seemed to only last a year.

The door opened, and Rey was escorted to a helicopter, and was brought far, far away, much further than he had ever traveled in his life, which, to be fair, wasn't much. While landing, he saw several other helicopters in the distance. He wasn't alone in this mission, after all.

Grey could do this. He could do this.

That was what he told himself. He could do anything that he set his mind to. That was what he grew up hearing. His poor, kind sweet mother, the only person he could remember from before, had always told him that. So why couldn't he escape this place, if he could do anything? All around him, metal hummed and seemed to call to him, barging on on his senses. This was his worse nightmare, the one that had kept him up for years. Being trapped by metal. It always seemed like it was controlling his life, with that one dangerous choice he made. Grey put his head in his hands, the suitcase as far away from him as he could allow it. He wasn't stupid, keeping it on his lap, but his hands were far away. He couldn't stand to touch metal anymore. Because if he did, then the screaming voices would be stronger, and louder. Grey didn't dare look at any of them, because if he did, then he was afraid he'd do something he'd regret.

Chip was sitting down in the helicopter, formally. He wanted to make a good impression. After all, he didn't want people to think he was a freak. He was though, and that sense was undeniable. He was just like everyone else though, but he wasn't. People didn't run fast. They didn't go to war anymore. All the countries forming these experiments, and the world pushed them away. "Freak!" Everyone would yell and laugh. His life was hell, being tortured and continued with experiments daily. He looked around, wondering if everyone else on this transportation device was tortured. Experiments.

Don't have much longer, they'll find you, my baby.

Jordan reluctantly hopped on the helicopter after slowly rubbing his foot on the ground. He hadn't been on a helicopter before nor did he want to. After bidding farewell to the ground he was so used to sitting on,he slowly and steadily entered the helicopter and took a seat. It was pretty obvious that some,if not all,of the people sitting next and in front of him had some sort of power or modification to help them. He clenched his fist, stared at the ground and pouted, wishing he doesn't die the moment he steps foot on the battlefield. There were so many different kind of powers that could instantly finish the war,and he was hoping he wasn't on the receiving end. He stopped looking at the ground and started inspecting the inside of the helicopter, trying to avoid any eye-contact with the people that could very easily end him. "Blue team, huh?" he thought to himself.

Dantier watched silently as more and more of his fellow soldiers boarded the aircraft, lack of interest or care completely visible n his face. Andrea... Grey... Rey... Chip... He knew all of these people, and knew everything he needed to know about them too. It was pointless for him to talk to them, but he had to remember that these guys had almost no clue about who he was. They only knew the bare minimum, the things they were told when everyone joined. His name, what he could do, and what he would do. He looked over at Andrea, who seemed to be staring at him, and made eye contact. Oh screw it... Not lile anything mattered in the first place. "So, you excited to finally fight this damn war again?" He said sarcastically, almost rolling his eyes in the process. His dull expression remained unchanged and his voice seemed to scream boredom.

Jordan's mind was filling up with questions regarding the battlefield, the enemies and under what conditions one side would be deemed as 'victorious',though he knows that there is no winner in a war. However,he subdued all those questions until he could finally find an appropriate person to talk to because it wouldn't really take much to anger him. His anxiety about war, frustration about leaving his family in need behind, being surrounded by strangers that are basically the same freaks as him. All these are but a spark about to light up the powder keg that he is. He tried to guess others' powers to kill time. It was either dying out of boredom or fighting in this war. At least the latter would be heroic, right?

Maybe the people here aren't as bad as Jordan initially thought. Some really stood out, both in appearance and strength while others were like him. Weak,at least superficially.

Voices... Bree could hear voices. They sounded far, but could easily be close. Bree felt like she was underwater and her head felt dizzy. The only thing she could focus on was the cold metal underneath her cheek. Slowly, everything started to become clear.
She had been found, captured, and had returned back to this evil place. She didn't need to have her vision to recognize the area around her. The place was cold, why was it always so cold? Dread seemed to fill the air like smoke. It was completely overwhelming being here. Had she gotten too use to the calm? Bree slowly sits up and patiently waits for someone to enter the room. Surely someone would enter the room soon- based on the voices outside the door. Sitting in silence, Bree became painfully aware of the fact that she wasn't restrained. She didn't need to be, she couldn't run, couldn't fight. If she dared try, she'd be lucky to simply escape this room. Much less guide herself to an exit within the seemingly endless maze of walls. No, it was better just to comply.
She couldn't help but bare her teeth together like a wild animal when she heard the door click open ahead of her. She didn't sense an aura of any sort, meaning that this person was a human, potentially a scientist.
"Calm down Bree, let's have a little chat-." Bree mostly tuned out the woman. Whatever she had to say wasn't new to her. She knew what they wanted. She would be sent out to to heal her comrades. The less casualties the better. The enemy will hurt and kill your comrades, your friends if you don't... blah, blah, blah, it was the same speech she heard countless times before. "We will be willing to forgive you for leaving us if you help us win this war. What do you say Bree, are you in?"
What choice do I have? Bree thinks to herself. "Of course I'm in" she responds instead, faking a smile. "When will we start?"

Footsteps indicated another party entering the helicopter and one of the many guards appeared. Over the guards shoulders was San, lying limp and unconscious from the recent experiments. They at least had the dignity to dress him in a soft lilac sweater that seemed much too big for his lean frame and skin tight leather pants. It covered up the swaths of bandages that wrapped around his body like a second skin, the oversized nature of the sweater helping cover up the mass scarring that littered his form. Dumping him none too gently onto one of the seats, the guard left as silently as they came leaving the helicopter drowning in silence. While back at the compound, it wasn't uncommon to see unconscious test subjects that were knocked out for hours after their experimentation, for some who had never set foot in those labs and had inherited their powers before being simply dragged away from their families, it was a bit of a harrowing sight.

Soon enough, though, one of the black ears sitting atop San's head twitched ever so slightly. It was kind of cute actually to watch the ears slowly twitch and move, the sensory organs relaying to San any dangers that may be present in his environment. The faint lashing of his tail was the only warning anyone got before San sprang up onto his feet defensively, leaping backwards and into safety. Or well, that was what was supposed to happen but because they were on a helicopter, he just whacked his head against the metal hull and crumpled onto the floor with a wheezing whine. However, what was most concerning was the brief glimpse everyone caught of San's eyes. Instead of the soft chocolate brown that they had been previously, it had been tainted as an almost bloody red, circular pupils that denoted his humanity replaced by feline slits. The systematic removal of his humanity wasn't anything new for those familiar with it but it was haunting nonetheless

*Grimm would take notes on everyone who she thought had the same condition as her, the normal person would have called them freaks, but to her she thought her powers where beneficial to everyone around her. Others who were in similar situations might have thought of their gifts as a curse or a punishment. Grimm had grown to understand that she was given these powers to help others, she knew that her purpose, and she would do her best to make others realize theirs*

Chip looked around at the visible faces. He found no trace of fear. They're all trained to be soldiers, to act cold. He could hear voices nearby, but unable to locate them. He huffed out, his small upper body rising and falling to the rhythm of his breath. "God damn wars." He muttered under his breath. More people boarded the copter, shuffling into the available seats.

They won't help, they'll hurt. They'll hurt you.

His head was full of screams, and his heart was full of agony.

The metal called to him, like it always had, begging to twist and pull under his fingers. Normally, it was enough with the pieces that held together his arms and legs, but surrounded by metal? Impossible. He could not think, he could barely breathe. But Dantier's voice broke through the horrific storm that was his souless mind, and he looked up, eyes bloodshot. It always happened when he was near metal, his brain twisting under the torture, eyes bulging and going red. But he laughed dryly. "I suppose so, yeah. I mean, you can't solve it all with words, right? So you pick the sides, Red, Blue, yadayadayada." He laughed again, forcing himself to sound genuine. That was what he had done for so long, and yet..it was getting harder and harder.

He had already turned his head towards Grey before he said a word, knowing it was coming. It was a curse, really, having an impeccable memory to go along with his 'immortality'. He also knew exactly what everyone could do with their power, and how they suffered from it. Grey, if he recalled, was in agony due to being surrounded by a huge hunk of metal. It was understandable, but the fact that he was crammed in here with the rest of them instead of taking another mode of transport wasn't Neither sides were in the right, and that pissed him off. Speaking of sides, wasn't there supposed to be a spy or two? Oh whatever, it really didn't matter. They would recognize him, he would recognize them, and they would realize just how hard it was to work as a spy for such a terrible person. Of course, they knew just how terrible it was, but they didn't do anything about it. Or did they try, but knew they would fail? That was something Dantier always forgot, not everyone had the 'luxury' of living without uncertainty, being able to achieve the best possible outcome. And because of that, he probably had it the worst while he was over there. They somehow knew everything he did, knowing that experiments they had done and how much pain he had been through every time. It couldn't just be some overthought and elaborate plan, they somehow found a way to tap into memories that shouldn't even exist. The worst part is, there was almost no escape. In fact, they made their way around nearly everything until their plan failed due to a machine overload, storing hundreds of years worth of information. Well, it was only that long to him, but it didn't matter. He gave a sigh and decided to stop thinking about the past, resulting in him doing something else to occupy himself. "Yeah, guess you're right..." He mumbled, quickly looking over at Chip, who seemed quite distressed. Chip... That one was a mystery to him. He never bothered to interact with him at any point, and always failing when he did due to Chip's concerning self-sheltering. He refused to budge and properly talk with him, so Dantier always dropped the attempt and moved on. He decided not to say anything to him yet again and just sat in silence.

“Excited? I’m more than happy to go back to the battlefield and watch everyone die again. Oh yes, I’m exhilarated. I’m a spy, you’re a soldier. What do they need me for? My fighting skills? My incredible talent of absolutely losing my shit in terms of strength and speed? My ability to dislocate my limbs?” She scoffs. “Then again, who knows where this goddamn helicopter’s taking us. Red, Blue, we’re all going to die one way or another, even if we don’t die on the battlefield. I’ve reached a point where I don’t fear death.” Andrea folds her arms, and stretches her legs. She was actually quite tall, when you looked properly. As for Dantier— he thought he knew her, did he? Well— her powers, that was quite literally the easiest to know. To her, Dantier seemed a little haughty, but generally bearing the same feelings as her. Well, they weren’t gonna escape anytime soon. Andrea thought it would be good to take note of how Dantier was capable of showing emotion.

"Geez, no need to get so dramatic." He jokingly put his hands up as a sign for his surrender, or just to calm him down, either way was good. As much as he didn't want to admit it, Andrea had a point. Thousands would die, this war would continue. He knew it would, he had seen it unfold. Besides, Andrea had been assigned as a spy, she wouldn't be much use on the battlefield. Her words felt bitter, but he didn't care. She had a point, and he agreed with it, end of story. He didn't fear death either, what was it gonna do, kill kim? Good luck with that, itwas already doing a pretty terrible job. His face still remained unchanged as he hunched over and clasped his hands together, not saying a word. Andrea was one of the more... difficult ones, to say the least. He knew a lot about everyone, yes, but he couldn't read their minds. He didn't know what secrets they were hiding, come to think of it, he didn't know much about some at all. Andrea was one of those people he had a hard time with, but he knew enough that it satisfied him.
"The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle."

Chip, out of the corner of his eye, saw Dantier cast a look at him. He scoffed, then rolled his eyes for dramatic pleasure. He looked around the room again, registering faces. Registering pain in the faces. Chip had an uneasy feeling, like the one you get before something bad happens. Because something bad was probably gonna happen, he was sure of it. The unease in his face slowly grew more visible, his eyes shining with that feeling of confusion. His mind races through all of the possible outcomes, as it usually had whenever this feeling arouse.

There's a girl. And a boy? Am I the boy? They're . . . happy. Why?
