Tears slip down Bree's face as she watches Andrea's aura slowly turn red in multiple areas. She visibly winces whenever she screams and attempts to cover her ears, only to be stopped by some invisible force. When Andrea eventually killed someone Bree knew right away that it wasn't someone with powers. Still, a glimmer of respect fills Bree's gaze. After all that, Andrea still had the strength to fight back, it was-... Amazing. All hope disappears when Bree hears the woman mention Erin. "No!" Bree screams out. There was no telling what they had planned for Erin, but whatever it was, it was meant to hurt. She didn't want to know what they possibly had planned to hurt an android- to hurt Erin.
...

"Hmph, this show is a bit bland" Aster lies. He was shaken by the disturbing events, but was doing a great job at hiding it. "Maybe we could have some popcorn with it or something? I'm starting to get the munchies."

Don't let them win... Don't let them get the satisfaction. I will not play your games Aster thinks to himself darkly while clenching his jaw. "You know, you shouldn't kill your little minions so willingly, what will you possibly do when you run out hmm? Do you really think you could take us all on?" Once again, Aster feels pressure build up under his jaw. Whoever was controlling him once again was trying to forcefully shut him up. That's fine, be annoyed by me, keep your attention on me. Leave them alone.

*Grimm couldn’t watch. It pained her to see the torture. She tried to think of something else, but her mind wouldn’t let her. Slowly slipping into the traumatic memories of her childhood. How she was treated at that camp. She began to cry, black ink like tears would fall from her mask slowly. She wished she could just rush in and heal them. It pained her when she couldn’t help out someone she saw was in need of her.*

When the door banged open, calling the android to her fate, her narrowed eyes was the only sign of her displeasure. A stoic facade stood fast against the invader's aggression. The pure white fabric brushed up against her back, and knotted in her fingers before slipping away. The fabric was so smooth that it felt like a second skin, completely devoid of any novel sensations. The scientists had taken away everything in the way of attire before throwing something completely different her way. All of it was white and soft and strange. White, soft, slippers, white leggings, and a long white gown. They'd even tied her hair up completely with a white band. She tried to inquire further, and received a nasty taser shock. Not enough to knock her enough, but enough for the android side of her to recognize it was a threat. At least it gave her some time with herself.

Shielding her eyes with her hands, the android angrily shoved off the two guards at her side and walked forward on her own. Crackling on both sides alerted her that tasers were indeed involved. Well, at least they weren't just plain stupid. It only took a few moments for her to realize that it had become strangely quiet, and soon enough, she realized it was because the slippers were soundproof. Scanning the scene to see what kind of hell they had planned for her, she was greeted with ... an operating table, bristling with lights and needles and binders. All of them were strangely clean and sterile, as if they had been cleaned just for this occasion.

Surgery?

"Tell me dear." The strange woman purred, "What do you know of the white room?"

Those three words hit her like three individual blows, harsh and unrelenting. But because she was Erin, she composed herself, giving away nothing. "As a matter of fact, nothing." She lied smoothly, her voice as calm as a winter lake, "Do enlighten me."

This ... is not a good situation. Dread crept in as words exploded in her vision, her android side automatically pulling up information on this particular torture against her will. Eventually, she came to the one sentence she had always feared, yet she anticipated she would see. White torture was unfaillable.

Everyone who had been subjected to it had broken.

Andrea was carted away to another room, where she underwent even more torture. They literally separated her physical body from her smoke form, hurting the physical form, while putting the smoke in a chamber. They pumped some toxic gas into the chamber, before turning a “fan” on to mix it all up. It grew worse and worse, until finally the whole room shook, the lights flickered. Once…twice…and then simply nothing. No trace of Andrea remained.

Humanssss…are accidental by products of the world….mere atoms made for experimentation. Andrea had heard the silent voice calling to her, and she answered it. Her physical body was gone….forever. Her soul had merged as one with the chaos magic inside her, but she was still very much alive. This was her final, true form. Not that weakling of a human, but something far better. Her soul was the chaos magic, and she had full control.

[tw: possession and ritual]

He watched as Andrea and Erin were carried away by the woman and the ones in the masks, out of sight from everyone. He could faintly hear the words 'white room' being said, the words as cold as ice and seemingly being whispered into his ear. Those words came along with bad memories for Dantier, since he was subject to that hell before he had been cursed with immortality. They told him it was to 'test his senses', but he knew those were lies. They wanted him to go insane, not be able to think properly and be overwhelmed when they finally took him out, only to be drugged and forced to endure pain. He shivered at the memory, realizing that his body wasn't under the woman's influence anymore. He looked over at Ledia, then at everyone else. Ledia was shaking, and her pale skin seemed to be almost completely transparent. She had her arms wrapped around her chest an she seemed to be muttering something, but he couldn't tell what it was. "Now then... While they have fun, how about we moe on? Aster, Ledia, would you like to be next?" Dantier turned to face the voice that came behind him once again, this time quite shocked to see the woman leaning over Ledia's shoulder. Dantier was dumbfounded, terrified by the fact that there seemed to be multiple of her. He quickly turned his head to Aster, who made a comment so ridiculous that Dantier had ignored it, and noticed that he had a woman leaning over his shoulder as well.

Suddenly, a frozen hand grasped onto his arm quite violently, followed by a chill down every bone and muscle he had. A frail and terrified voice begun to speak to him, a plead that would make his heart stop in terror and guilt. "Help... Help me please...!" It was a quiet voice, and the drop in the temperature around him reminded him of the voice of a ghost. He slowly turned his head, only to be met with the haunting image of a girl who once was, Ledia's appearance could only be described as a horrifying ghost, a girl who was long dead. He tried to speak but he couldn't, his mouth refused to open. He could tell that the woman behind the two of them had no influence on his movement at the moment, so why couldn't he speak? Was it because of fear? He reached his arm out to hopefully grab Ledia, trying to keep her from being pulled away, but his arm just went right through her. Before he could try again, both her and the lady were gone, only to be seen again in the room Andrea had just been in.

Aster seemed to be in the same situation, grabbed by the woman and being dragged into the room. Dantier hoped that he would be able to stop him from being trapped with Ledia, but it was too late. By the time he had gotten up from his seat to help Aster, he was already pushed in the lab. He stared, unable to move or speak, his hope dwindling even further. What would happen if all of them had been put through these experiments? Would all hope be lost for them? He had so many questions and pleads but all he could do was stand there, staring blankly into the glass that separated them. His limbs begun to grow weak from fear and hopelessness, causing him to fall back into his chair, almost missing it entirely. He couldn't keep letting this happen, but what could he really do? Sure he could try reseting everything, hopefully sending everyone back to safety so they could prevent this, but could he really? It was incredibly risky, what if he ended up back here? What if he couldn't change anything? Even Ledia warned him not to do it, but was she right about that? How could she know what would happen? But... He couldn't take that risk, could he? What if him dying could lead to something far worse than this? No, if he kept thinking about this, he would ruin himself, that wouldn't do anyone good, would it?

It was almost as though the woman had given up, or just found it boring to force them to watch, because as she was prepping the room for the two, Dantier didn't feel effected by any mind control or whatever that witch was doing to them. It wasn't like he could do anything anywas, but he found it interesting how she didn't bother with it. His interest was soon killed as soon as he noticed that they had already begun. They seemed to be doing Ledia first, and simply leaving Aster restrained until later. In the blink of an eye, She was already on the table and seemed to be in pain. She was struggling to break free, the restraints on her burning into her skin and rendering her ghost-like abilities useless. Was that... Silver? He had heard somewhere that silver was extremely lethal against ghosts, causing them harm upon contact. Oh god... Were they really that cruel? Couldn't they just... drug her or something, like they did to him? He watched as they seemed to be bringing a bag into the room, he could hear the small clinks of multiple metallic objects coming into contact with each other with every footstep the carrier took. They seemed to be bringing a fresh body into the room, lying neatly on a cot. Confusion flashed across Dantier's face, unsure of what the woman was planning. As a hand reached into the bag, pulling out a small chunk of something shiny, the realization hit him. The bag was full of silver, which they were going to use to inflict immaculate pain on Ledia. Not only that, the dead body... Were they going to make her possess it? As soon as that thought hit him, he noticed something in the hand of a nearby masked man. It was a jar, a vial of blood, and a book. The jar was filled with a powder- no, that wasn't a powder, that was salt... Were they... Oh no... He wished he could stop what what was coming, but his body refused to move. He could only sit in silence as small pebbles of silver were dropped onto Ledia's body, one by one, all causing a scream that his mind refused to process.

His senses had somehow dulled, only letting him hear the smallest muffled noise coming from the other side of the glass. Her pale skin was riddled in burn marks and she looked as though she was forced to stay awake, unable to pass out from the pain. What's worse, though, is that they brought the body closer to her and appeared to be trying to get her to possess it or something like that, which was unfortunately successful. Ledia wasn't on the table anymore, but instead all that was there was the unmoving body. One second... Two seconds... Three seconds... Dantier began to count in his head how long it took for the body to move, counting all the way to 22 seconds. On that second, a large gasp was heard and the body came to life, still struggling under the restraints. The woman seemed to be taking notes on the results, then tried speaking to Ledia and dropping silver into the body's mouth, then continued. Salt was poured around her and drops of blood were set in a specific pattern, then the book the man was holding was given to the lady and she began to read. Ledia's struggling resumed, but the body she possessed started shaking. More and more things happened, more and more pain was caused, until finally, Ledia's limp and souless figure appeared, motionless and tattered. No... That couldn't be, right? Dantier wanted to tell himself that she was still alive, but he knew. He knew what had happened and what their horrible experiment did. He knew that the girl who seemed capable of letting them escape, was dead.

"Tell me dear, what do you know of the white room?"

They had arrived, Andea and Erin were pulled away from everyone they knew and were soon met with a haunting situation. The woman had planned an excruciating hell specifically for just the two of them, the white room. "Ah... Being such an advanced andoid, I would've suspected that you knew of such a thing... Well, it doesn't matter. The white room is a room with no texture, sound, color, or entertainment. You will be in solitude with only yourself and the white that surrounds you, nothing else. Such a lovely experience, isn't it?" The woman's smile was genuine, at least, but it was horrible nonetheless. "Now then, any more questions?"
"The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle."

*Grimm didn’t know what was happening to her. She thought that she was forgotten by the people who were harming the others. She looked around and saw she was wrong. She was in a room that resembled a o prison cell bedroom. There was a desk with paper and a set of calligraphy pens with an inkwell. There was the bed she was on. She could hear voices but she couldn’t make out where they came from.*

~Long post ahead. I'm sorry ;3; trigger warning for the little bit of violence ahead~

The room Aster was forcefully led to was dark. Despite the situation and the knowledge that some torturous event would soon fall upon him, Aster felt oddly comfortable. Now no longer under the mind control, Aster found her could freely use his powers. The room was dark, so he hides within the shadows, taking on a new non-human form.

Shadows wrap around his body, concealing him within the darkness. The shadows that settled on his nails and canines become enlarged, making them appear longer and sharper. His 'eyes' became deep red slits. His tattoos glowed in a reddish tint, but you would have to squint to see them. Horns and a delish tail made of shadows appear to finish off the look. His silhouette was barley noticable, but visible if you paid attention. He felt powerful in this form. Powerful enough to escape if he wanted to. He smiles and roams the room, dragging a hand over the walls, only to be met with metal. He drags a hand to the floor, once again finding metal. He pauses and cocks a head, his body stiffened and his posture showed obvious confusion.

Suddenly, the lights turn on. The sudden brightness makes Aster hiss in pain and crash to the ground. Slowly, the shadows disappear and he becomes normal. When his vision returns he sneaks a peek around the metal box he was in, catching a camera in one of the corners. He smiles at it and strides in the middle of the room.

"Oh? Do you want me to put on a performance?" He asks the camera. He spreads his arms out dramatically and beams up at the camera. "Well ask and you shall receive!" His smile falters slightly when he hears a clicking sound. Oddly enough, the click seemed to come from all around him. That's when the room begins getting hot. "Heat? Constant light? Oh no, my only weakness! I'm dying!" Aster cries out while collapsing to the ground. "Please stop this torture!" He begs. He reaches out towards the camera, his gaze desperate. "Pfft" Aster suddenly freezes and covers his mouth, but he is unable to hold back his laughter. "I'm sorry. But what kind of lazy writer do you think is creating me? It'll take more than that to harm me!" He stands up and fans his face. "Hmph, it is rather uncomfortable though." He glances around, trying to look for the spot where he knew the others would be watching him. Maybe they were watching through the camera? Or was there a window he wasn't seeing? I'll stay strong, for all of you he promises.

"Enough!" The boss lady's voice appears through a loudspeaker. "Your test? Survive. Feel free to use your powers. We want to see if you can withstand these harsh conditions."

Aster's eyes narrow and he looks around. "Survive? Against what?" Aster asks. But his own question is answered when a large masked man enters through a door. Where did that come from? Aster stares at the nearly invisible door, completely missing the large bat in the man's hand until he raises it up to hit him. Aster manages to evade the attack, jumping away just in time.

Oh, so this is what she means Aster thinks to himself while glaring at his opponent. But he found he couldn't use his powers. The lights were just too bright, which weakened his ability, and the heat made it hard to focus. Whatever, I don't need it. Aster manages to dodge another attack and moves forward to hit his opponent. But he was too far away, his punch only hit air. His opponent chuckles and swings his bat. A pained scream erupts out of Aster as the bat swings down on his arm, breaking it. He instinctively clutches his arm, shielding it from the next attack. The bat slams into his shoulder, which would've broken it if Aster wasn't tensed up and prepared to take the hit.

"I'll kill you!" Aster screams out. This time, out of his rage, he manages to activate his ability. His injured arm darkens, a clear sign that he had been able to successfully use his ability, although he wasn't able to use the full strength of his power. He swings with his injured arm, his clawed hand scratching air as his opponent smartly avoids the attack by stepping out of reach. It hurt, oh, how it hurt like Hell, but it was doing the job. Attack after attack, Aster continues his pursuit forward until his opponent was against the wall. For a second, Aster could tell that the man was afraid. He was quite literally frozen in fear, his arms and back were braced against the wall as if he were waiting for it to swallow him up. Despite the pain and exhaustion, his fear gives Aster strength. He smiles darkly and prepares another strike. He would push through the pain one last time and kill this man. He could claw through the material covering his neck and tear his claws through his flesh. It would be so easy, the revenge would feel so nice. But before he has the chance to strike something hits the back of his head. A new attacker had come in from behind and abruptly stopped the attack.

The heat was beginning to become too much. He couldn't focus through the pain and heat. The shadows around his injured arm disappear. Now no longer protected by the shadows, the pain in his arm was unbearable. He crumbles to the hot ground and curls into a ball, trying to shield his face while both attackers relentlessly bring their bats down upon him. He clenches his teeth, trying his best not to scream, to not react. He didn't want to scare the others, he had to stay strong for them! But at some point he couldn't control himself. He had too many broken bones, too many open wounds that stung from a combination of the heat and new attacks. His screams seemed to be drowned out by the sounds of bats hitting his body. It seemed to go on for hours, but in reality, it couldn't have been more than a few minutes. Suddenly, the hits come to a hault. A few seconds pass, and Aster gets the courage to glance up at the man he almost killed. "You got lucky" Aster chokes out. He spits blood towards him and grins. "Next time, I'll make sure you die." The man may have reacted, but Aster couldn't see it under his mask. The man lifts up a leg and brings his foot down on Aster's face. Finally knocking him out.

Chip stared into Aster's room, or whatever it was called. He almost had cheered for Aster for striking fear into the opponent and almost killing him but had to resist the urge to show any weakness.
ADHD . . . weakness . . . memory loss . . . effective . . . Chip.
Chip himself was scarred by the other's torture, himself thinking of what he would endure. What was his greatest fear? What would all the kids at school make fun of him for? Did he even go to school? Was school as boring as it sounded? Question after question, thought after thought would flood his brain and take him away from this world of pain and suffering, drowning out the sound and his sight until his mind could clear of the topic, whatever topic got him this time. Pain. Torture. I hear pain, I hear torture. I can't- I can't- He started breathing heavily. The voices, the voices. The beep, the screaming. . . Adrenaline. So many thoughts flooded his brain until he couldn't think anymore, so many lost memories he'd thought they were gone. He'd thought were lost in the archives of his brain, never to be brought up, never to be rescued. The pretty lady, the pretty blond lady.

And then all was still for Chip. At last, his brain left him alone, but the silence was too much of a burden, too much silence. Not enough thoughts. He'd always be surrounded by his thoughts, the thoughts that would choke him and through him down until he found a way to resolve them. But all was still and still was all, watching in horror as each of their comrades would be taken and forced pain upon them until each one of them broke. Until the hope and light in their eyes for this world faltered until nobody could withstand fighting.

Chip wouldn't break. If it meant everyone else having hope, and himself having hope to escape this hell hole along with everyone else, it would mean he'd have to be strong. "Be strong for mommy." One line lingered in his mind, the line that chased away every other thought he had. It was settled, then. Chip would never break. His determination fueled his powers, and his powers would be needed to escape. He'd known one thing for sure, this was gonna take alot out of him.

*Suddenly the room changed around Grimm and she was not in a forest, there was a man slumped against the tree, a gaping gunshot wound in his side, he was gasping for air. Grimm ran towards him in an attempt to aid him. When she reached him he seemed to fear her. He seemed to try to move away from her. Grimm slowly but gently held out her hand to touch the wound. But as she made physical contact with him the man’s skin turned coal black as if his entire body had been undergoing frostbite for years. The man screamed in horror as he did. Grimm was frozen solid. Tears began to come from her eyes. Her then the world changed again and she was standing in front of a glass window with the woman from before smirking a broad and devilish grin. Grimm didn’t know what was going to happen and what she should do, her mind overflowing, her sense of reality failing her. Her mind couldn’t handle it and she slowly feinted the last thing she saw before slipping into darkness was the grin.*

erin was known for being rather disposed towards violence than any manner of diplomacy, but in the end, her ideas were futile, and as such, the android said nothing when the woman carefully elaborated on her manner of punishment. a maniacal grin perched on her maw, each word delivered with savage intent - a delineation of information that she had always known. of course, the android wasn't about to go alone. by some mercy, they'd given her a companion to suffer with together. no longer in human form but conscious nonetheless, the dark cloud andrea had become trilled with devilish delight, weaving around erin's shoulders, briefly shadowing the android. a morbid sense of confusion aroused in her chest as she watched the cloud dart around this way and that, completely intangible but horrible all the same. andrea's going to be delighted, the android growled to herself. erin had harbored a great sense of apprehension for the red spy, who seemed absolutely determined to get under the android's skin. andrea wanted a favor done, some deal to make good upon, but at this point, she had little idea what it was. did she expect the android to make a promise to her? a guarantee for salvation and rescue? but how could she promise that. i'm not going to promise something that i can't deliver on. or that i may not deliver on at all. in the end, the android was still motivated by her own selfish ends, and she had little interest in tailoring her whims to those of another who would deliver little in return.

ah... being such an advanced andoid, i would've suspected that you knew of such a thing... well, it doesn't matter. the white room is a room with no texture, sound, color, or entertainment. you will be in solitude with only yourself and the white that surrounds you, nothing else. such a lovely experience, isn't it?

the walls behind her weren't soundproof, and erin could feel the floor shaking from the sound energy. voices protested against deaf ears, and screams of agony caterwauled through the walls like ghosts. the android clenched her nails into her palms as the pitch crescendoed pitifully, until her knuckles were white and thirium 310 leaked from her nails. blue stained her palms, but in return, she kept her facial features reasonably neutral beyond a simple consideration. from there, it only got worse. others were given the sentence as well, the woman's choosing indiscriminate and random. bree...aster...grimm.. names that she would never have recognized, or cared about, now sentenced to damnation. maybe there was a lesson to be learned in that, the previous boundaries quickly erased in the wake of rising waters. drawing her thoughts back to her current predicament, her thoughts roamed back to the white room. the implications were certainly terrible, but at the same time, she saw a sliver of hope. given that the white room often remained unmonitored. there was no task required of her either, no manual labor or tests to run. as arrogant and far-fetched as it seemed, the guards would figuratively no idea what was going on inside her head either.

she met the women's glance with a curious quirk of her own, a wry smile poorly covering up the resigned apathy and dread inside her gaze, and haunting of her soul. the android had long struggled to comprehend why stoicism was embedded like shards of shrapnel in her programming. stoicism had its moments, but overdoses of it often resulted in toxic levels of despair and an android's right to nihilism. "leaving me with the company of my thoughts, eh?" she chuckled tiredly, abandoning any sort of pretense in favor of a wry wit that surprised her, "can't say i've had that privilege as of yet. delightful indeed." she shrugged, "of course, as you can imagine, i'll be rather disappointed if the lounge isn't as pristine as you described. only the best must be given to such volatile prisoners such as me and my -" what was andrea? not a friend, surely. but enemy? - eventually she settled on a word, "cellmate." a sleight of hand, daring the cloud next to her to disagree with the sentiment. despite her jest, wasn't saying this lightly, in the dazzling emptiness of the white room lay its fragile weakness. just a single speck of color would shatter the veil, removing the dangers that these soldiers had set up with painstaking care.

"i doubt you're the type to disappoint." she drawled offhand, not addressing any one faceless subject, their limbs held stiffly by their sides as if by puppet strings. "i'm sure this will be a terrible experience." looking at them, erin felt disparaged, not for herself, but for those whose futures were reduced to waiting on another, shells of what life was meant to expand upon. whatever bravado she felt earlier when she unraveled her first untruth was gone, and the android let shadows claim her eyes. a modest cant befell her chin, and with eyes angled downwards, she looked the perfect portrait of a prisoner greatly daunted by the nightmarish prospects awaiting her. in some ways, the android was worried and fretting on the inside, but knowing that this was her only chance to be truly alone with her thoughts, she kept her silence. erin concealed her cut palm by tucking it with her palms facing backwards toward her breast. it didn't seem that it was bleeding anymore, but at least it left a permanent jag of cerulean across her palm.

strong hands gripped her shoulders, and she was propelled rudely into the awnings, shadows swallowing her sinewy form until she disappeared. andrea being the little angel she was, followed without prompting as though attracted by a magnet to the android's back. a pensive frown tugged her lips downwards, breaking the facade of apathy that she had worked to put up as she felt andrea's ghost gently tap at her shoulder occasionally, always reminding the unlucky female of her presence. erin knew that the chaos agent intended to continue her self-glorifying litany once they were alone again, but that would require speaking. the contradiction gave her some measure of strength, so she ignored the urge to snap at the chaos agent. behind her, the screams continued endlessly, a haunting wail that seeped through the walls. each raw shriek drawn out stained the air with memories of agony and great tribulation. the android had half a mind to think that such torture was inevitable and inescapable, given their current state. it distressed her greatly to think so, but given that any assistance on her part would probably exacerbate the situation, she forced herself to keep walking. it was no easy feat, for it seemed that lead was attached to the soles of her feet, and there was an anxious flutter in her chest that refused to abate. erin let her captors guide her as she was shoved along, focusing more on observation of her surroundings than walking. but much to her surprise, it wasn't to the white room that she was being guided to, and here at a junction, she felt andrea taken from her side again. the chaos agent's bristle of disappointment faded from erin's attention as she was greeted with a surgical table practically bristling with tools. a steep frown of confusion must have furrowed her brows, becuase one of the guards took the liberty of shoving her forward with another shock.

"i think you know this by now, even though you've been playing stupid, but the white room usually takes a day or two to really set in. but we don't have that time now. let's just say that you'll be feeling a whole lot worse after this."

again, not much she could do about that. even so, however, she refused to go easy onto the white altar, and it was a significant struggle to keep her still when the knives descended onto her bound form. with no anesthetics involved, erin felt every poke and prod, but thankfully, none of it was painful given that there was a general lack of pain sensors. it was, of course, very uncomfortable, and she was barely conscious after the operation. propped up between two guards, she was escorted to the brilliantly lit chamber at last. the door creaked open, and she was unceremoniously dumped inside, her form sliding like ink over the polished floor. the first thing that hit her was the quiet, an awful lack of sound that weighed down on her ears like a blanket. neon lights on the ceiling took away her shadow, and walls of snow encircled her on every side. heck, even the door was white.

some punishment this is. the android grumbled, yes, i may lose my mind. but at least i can have some peace and quiet.

of course, andrea was quick to greet her, and the whiteness of the room was quickly defaced by a splash of black in front of her eyes. erin was left to figure out how the heck they were supposed to communicate without speaking when white text appeared in her vision. never mind.

planning would have to wait, it seemed.

Grey was sickened by everything that he saw. Who did these people think they were? Did they really think that they were more than monsters, sick beings that put these people full of suffering through even more? Regardless of what they thought they were, Grey would not give them the satisfaction of seeing his fear, the deep rooted fear he thought that he was past after all this time. But something brought it, and he disguised it with shoulders set back, eyes narrowed, and arms crossed, fists clenched. When they brought him into the room, Grey was almost expectant of it. He knew that with his ability, there was so much for them to do to him. But would they know it? They only knew some about his weaknesses, his ablities...right? Or was there more to this that Grey was missing? With his missing memories, maybe there was....

They instructed him to remove his shirt, socks and shoes, which he did so, eyeing the gun. "What, getting so comfortable and then you start the death threats?" The man holding the gun just moved his finger slightly, and Grey quickly said, "Alright, Alright!" They had him sit in a metal chair, and the woman smiled. "Let the experimentation begin."

-----------TW: Slight Gore and Body Horror----------------

Grey could already feel the horrible stinging up and down his back and legs as they attached wires to his head. "This will nullify your ability, but not the side affects," the woman announced, and Grey laughed. "What, is that supposed to be a bad thing? At least the voices will shut up. Seems you wont." Grey couldn't keep his mouth shut, but the woman made sure of it when she shoved a metal mask over his mouth. Grey grit his teeth as the pain increased, the skin around his mouth becoming red hot and beggening to blister. But he wouldn't back down. There were chains wrapped around his body, worsening the pain in him as he struggled. Tears ran down his face, and a muffled scream came out of him. This pain was far worse then he had ever experienced, and he didn't think he could go on. They removed the bandages from his feet, exposing the horrible blistered bottoms, which they had him put his feet against the metal floor. That just made it worse.

Then, they acsessed his memories.

Evrey memory flashed before Grey's eyes, mixing with the seemingly endless pain caused Grey to double over. But for every new memory they let him see, he just saw more and more pain. He was scarred both mentally and physically, writhing in pain. But he didn't say a word. Not until he kept seeing Erin's face, and he started cursing the scientists, anger almost completley overpowering the pain. So, they slid a metal bit under his tounge to keep him quiet. Eventually, the wires were removed. "Now bend the metal away," the woman commanded. He did so, collasping to the ground. The masked men picked him up, and dragged him away.

Grey had truly found his limit.

Andrea trills with delight, clicking her tongue as she listens to the woman. The more excited she gets, the faster her cloud swirls, like a hummingbird in the air. She zooms into the room after Erin, letting the android know she was still there, before finally spreading herself out in all areas of the torture room. Andrea had spread herself all across the room, so if she made a single sound, it would be amplified, seemingly all around Erin. She giggles once, and it echoes around the room like a chorus of unhinged laughter. It’s blindingly white, which you could say is cheerful. White represents purity, innocence, simplicity. On the other hand, it could also be cold, stark, and isolated. Depressing stuff, isn’t it? Andrea comments, as a sort of final statement, before giving Erin the silent treatment. However, while Andrea was speaking, a voice in her head spoke See what she’s saying? But you’re not exactly pure or innocent…are you? You don’t have many friends either, oh how sad. You should try making friends while you still can, you know. What if your enemies gather together to fight you? Nice place isn’t it? You look beautiful, in all white like that.Even though Andrea wasn’t speaking, it seemed like the text itself was literally vibrating with uncontrolled laughter. It was only there for long enough, that Erin could read, before the animation shattered, and new plain white text replaced it. But who am I kidding, honestly. You look frightfully ghastly, it makes me wanna puke. You look like one of those hospital maniacs…Yeah, you and this room look like absolute crap. The text flickers and disappears, and Erin’s head remains empty for a while.

but then again you’re a freak, and a monster, aren’t you?Do you not remember? This new voice seemed to pop up in her head, not like it was spoken by Andrea. The voice was soft, in fact the softer it got, the more dangerous it sounded. If the android was in a better headspace, and thinking clearer, then perhaps she would have noticed both voices were actually spoken by Andrea. However, in this case it wasn’t possible, so the only thing she heard, that she knew Andrea said, was the teasing.

A sudden silence fell over the room, one much more quiet than the stress-filled air from before. Now, it almost seemed as if no thoughts floated around the room, everyone was overcome in shock and horror. They... They killed her... But why? Didn't they just want to bring them to their limit, make them only hope for death? These people weren't generous enough to grant that wish of course, but that was only something Dantier believed only moments before. Maybe the whole incident was accidental, maybe they just went too far? Yeah... That had to be it... They wouldn't just let her die like that, right? Or... No... How did they know? Could that witch really hear what Ledia had to say to him when they first met? Did she really find out that the girl Dantier barely knew had a secret that could help them all? Wait... Why did he keep thinking of it that way? She never said anything about being free, much less even figuring this place out, so why did he cling onto the illusion of hope? Was he so desperate that those two words were all it took to give him hope? Either way, that scene was absolutely horrific, enough to chill his bones and make his muscles ache in pain just from watching. The fact that Aster was dragged into his own personal hell for all of them to watch, not even minutes after Ledia's death, just made everything worse. He could already feel the tears welling up in his eyes, the once hardened heart, void of any real emotion or care, begun crumbling to pieces as the reality of the situation weighed on him.

They couldn't keep doing this, they shouldn't have to endure this hell, no one should've had to live a life like this, right? Then... Why was this happening? What did they do to deserve this? Why did all of them have to endure such pain? Come to think of it... Dantier could've stopped all of this, couldn't he? He could've pulled the trigger and sent everyone back, safe from whatever bullcrap this was. So why hadn't he? Was he too scared to mess something up? It's not like he could anyways, that wasn't how his power worked after all, right? Before he could try anything, another name was called and 2 men went in their direction to bring them in, dragging Aster out and wrapping Ledia in a body bag. "Oh Bree~ It's your turn, aren't you excited?" The voice rung through the air, lingering like a poisonous gas, bringing dread to those who heard it.
"The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle."

TW for the slightly graphic scene ahead:

There was red.
So much red...
Bree no longer had the strength to support herself and had fallen onto her knees. Too many people she knew were getting hurt. One person even died! A few people were still going through torturous events and many more were waiting to go next.

Erin... Bree couldn't help but worry about her. Both her and Jaxon were people she was close to, she couldn't bear the thought of them suffering through this madness. It pained her to watch her friends get hurt and it hurt even more that she couldn't do anything to stop it.

She almost missed her name getting called, barley processed that the name was her's. She just stared towards the woman. She didn't have a noticable reaction until she was quite literally being dragged away. That's when she began to kick and scream, she tried do whatever she could to fight off her attackers. But it was useless. She was emotionally exhausted. She no longer had the strength to fight, and she doubt she could fight them off even with the strength. She gave up after a few minutes and quietly allowed them to drag her towards her own sliver of Hell.

She was restrained onto an operating table. That knowledge alone was terrifying to her, but what the woman had in store for her was far worse. "You're rather interesting, a blind healer?" The woman asks while placing a hand on her arm. The woman's touch made her skin crawl and she would've flinched away if she could. "You have some scarring over your eyes. It's a bit faint..." the woman continues when Bree doesn't reply. She hears movement above her and hears a sound of something being lowered above her- most likely a light. "Poor girl, the surgeries must've failed. Don't worry, we won't give up on you." Bree sucks in a breath, suddenly understanding what's about to happen. She feels something prick her arm and once again, she loses control of her ability. "Continue" the woman demands while walking out of the room.

"Wait! Stop! This isn't right! You can't-" a metal piece was shoved into her mouth to silence her. Her eyes were then shoved open, and a tool of some sort was placed onto her eyelids to keep them open. Without anesthesia or access to her powers, the 'surgery' was agonizing. She desperately tried to use her ability, desperately tried to fight the drugs to heal herself, but every attempt failed. Due to the metal piece in her mouth, she could barely scream, all she could do was lay there and process the pain. After what seemed like forever, the surgery was finally over. She could feel bandages wrap over her eyes, so perhaps the people had decided to give her a bit of mercy after all. Or so she thought...

She didn't have the strength to fight them as they move her to a wheelchair. She could barely lift her head up as she was wheeled out of the room and towards... somewhere.

Bree didn't care to see who was around, although she could sense someone nearby- someone who seemed to be slowly dying. She tried to ignore it, but the aura was calling out to her and soon she found herself focusing on Aster. Without having to see it, she could sense that his injuries were severe. She could sense all his broken bones, almost feel his broken skin. She could hear that he was awake, that he was aware of her presence. She could hear the way he struggled to breathe normally and the way he choked back pained sobs.

She couldn't help him, she couldn't even help herself. Not with her restrained like this, not with these drugs in her system, and certainly when she wasn't in this state. Was this supposed to be a mockery? Were they rubbing salt into her wounds by doing this? She lowers her head and doesn't try to fight back the tears. "I'm sorry" she whispers over and over. Aster, who had gotten the bear minimum treatment, simply stared at her for a bit before turning away. He was in the same boat as her. There was nothing they could do to help each other now.

Trigger Warning: More body horror, we love that

NO, no no no no nonononononononoo

San could only watch on in horror, helpless as he was dangled by his scruff before the view as one by one people were taken in and toyed with, hands wandering over thrashing restrained bodies and red dying mockingly white gloves a pale pink before it deepened under the aggressive florescent lights. He had tried to turn his head away the moment the crunch of bones and wheezing death knell of the damned sank into their bodies but a firm hand jerked his head back to the show, forcing his eyes to take in the bloody delight that danced over deranged eyes. Sharp nails dug into his skin, keeping his head a fixed as skin was split open and limbs were twisted into macabre displays that had his stomach rolling. His eyes burned and if he still had the ability to, he would undoubtedly be sobbing and pleading for them to stop, to hurt him instead, to simply shed tears for the broken and the lost.

When the final screams finally petered off and their prone bodies left to rot, the nails finally released their hold on his face. "I think that's enough fun for one day~" A sickening voice cooed, the same voice having read off names like it was all just an game, mimicking the roll calls that he had once been forced to do. "What wonderful new toys we've acquired! Let's play again tomorrow~" She made to leave before her whole body brightened as if remembering something suddenly. "Oh right! For being such a good kitty, we just have to reward you somehow." So transfixed was he on the painted red walls that San didn't notice the woman approaching him before a needle was carelessly jammed into his chest and he could feel his body twist, attempting to reject whatever serum was being pushed into him.

He couldn't even catch himself as the hold on his scruff was released, slamming into the ground with a wet splat and convulsing limbs. A pool of brackish red grew under his head as his neck snapped in two places, twisting his gaze until it stared blankly at the bloody masterpiece that comprised of unnatural freaks. It pained his slowing heart, the dull thump soft and painless for the first time in a long long while. Still, it was tugged at when San took a final look at the mangled menagerie. He only wanted to protect them, to shield them from the pain and the torture as much as he could, upholding a dying wish that he cradled close to his still chest.

Ah, but who did he even promise it to?

It didn't matter

He'd see them soon enough

A full bodied scream was wrenched out of him as San scrambled uselessly to escape the sudden flood of searing pain, a sensation he hadn't felt ever since he had twisted the final neck of a familiar face, pins and needles ripping him apart from the inside out. Paws that had begun to loose its inky fur and elongate into pseudo fingers clawed as his neck where it felt like lava was trapped in, rivers of liquid that housed more drugs than blood dripping into the still growing pool under his matted shedding fur. The age old scar that wrapped around his throat like a morbid mockery of a choker stung as he writhed on the floor, bones breaking and limbs twisting. His paws were wrenched away from their task as his shoulders popped, throwing his left paw out to the side and cracking as the elbow hyper-extended. His rib-cage felt like it was being crushed up and ground up into dust as his organs fought for space, pushing blood vessels to the side.

He gurgled, liquid spilling out of his mouth and clogging his throat as San felt the telltale snap of his spine realigning itself into a posture better suited to bipedal movement, his hips fracturing before reconstructing themselves to better fit his growing legs and reassemble his anatomy. Bloody tears tracked down his sharp cheekbones, a mocking imitation of normalcy which dripped off black dyed bone as his eyes rolled backwards and darkness reached her hand out to take his own. One final act of mercy as San drowned under the drugs and pain
