Leaping onto one roof, he stopped momentarily, thinking of that trial. "Ah geez, so much..." Zane grumbled, sitting down. He honestly didn't know what to do. Would he be of any help when it comes to finding out who was behind it? He doubted it. After all... Betrayal was all he had ever done. He didn't kill him, but anytime he was in a group, helping them with something... dangerous, all he ever did was become a traitor. Zane put a paw to his head, sighing softly.

"I hope to see you around again! I'll even bake you some yummy cakes!"

Parting through the mist, a pale blue glow came up from behind Zane and reached for him-



"If the king was murdered by her, then it was a political thing," he argued. "Now you're just being ridiculous. Think about it for a bloody second, jeez. How is this going to help in any way?"

He felt a slight chill, grumbling. Zane rubbed the back of his head before glancing behind him. "What the?"

It was the Lampent from earlier. It hovered mid-air, a smile on its black face, partially obscured by mist. "Well, hello there, my good Zeraora~ Nice to see you again. You left so suddenly back there, you know. I was hoping we could have another chat."

"Ah... Right, sorry about that." He calmed himself, tilting his head. "Something came up." Zane's tail was brushing against the roof, still thinking about what he asked himself before the Lampent came.

The Pokémon smiled. Suddenly, it was in front of him, staring right into his face. "Whatcha thinking about, Zes? That awesome move you're teaching yourself?" He grinned.



Luther stifled a sigh. At last.

Why couldn't all the morons out there agree like that?

His tail flicked. "Great idea." That you totally didn't hear me suggest a thousand times, he thought sarcastically, but kept a smile on his face. "Where you wanna check out first? Legally, of course," he joked.

"Oh?" The blue light faltered for a second, and then the Lampent was smiling again at full volume. "Personal? Love problems? Nono- I'm mistaken-" he paused, a faint glittering light in his eyes. Something further was going on behind there. "Some family problems, perhaps?"

His eyes studied Zane's. It was like he was prying open the Pokemon- peeling his skin back and looking at the flesh underneath, admiring it, looking deep within even to the bones-

"I won't force you," he prompted again.



"The trialroom, you mean?" He paused. "I don't see reason for the killer to attend... they'd only incriminate themself."
