Xatina hesitated, looking at the carnage around her. This was
caused by those little crystals? How? Xatina may not understand
magic very well, but she couldn't begin to fathom how there could
be such power in one of those tiny shards? It didn't make any
sense, but if it made sense to the Umbreon than Xatina might not be
crazy.
Fortem nodded, slightly confused, but still following along. Audax
made a realization. Ah, of course! Now that made sense why the park
was always the best place for training for him. Though Thea was
right, it was probably a bad thing that all the crystals were
here... they were basically just bombs waiting to explode.
“Now...If you have seen any crystals outside of the park...they
need to returned immediately...we can’t risk ready-made bombs being
used throughout Luminia.” Thea said sternly.
Someone was watching them. Not one person. A group
Winter suddenly felt a strange sense of guilt. He wasn't about to
give up his crystal...it was like a trophy to him at this
point...he decided not to mention it for now. He felt eyes on him,
and his fur pricked. He looked around wildly, wondering who could
be spying on them
Up until now, Xatina had remained quiet. But now, she felt the need
to speak up. "So should I mention the strange objects on the ground
outside the park? I almost stepped on a few, but now," she
shuddered, "I'm glad I didn't." Xatina felt surprisingly shy around
this group. Maybe it was because they were strangers, or maybe it
was because she was talking about magic, something she had no idea
about. Either way, Xatina decided not to speak again unless spoken
to. Her fur bristled, and her horn shook. Should she ignore it once
more, and risk a disaster?
“We go now.” Yung nodded and vanished after touching the oortal
“The shards don’t have much power and it would be good to disperse
them.” Thea said. “However—“
She stopped talking and looked behind them. There were some
pokemon...that were of the cult that Fortem had encountered. There
were other pokemon that were just hooded
Xatina tensed, and without meaning too, a deep growl came from her
throat. She was ready to attack, but who knows? When facing the
unknown, it was best not to strike first. So, she stared at the
group with narrowed eyes, whispering, "Who are they?"
Dark magic snaked around her horn, as she considered what would be
her next move.
The Professor stepped forward...
“Now what? What are you doing here?”
No answer. Silence. But the air got tenser.
The group ahead of them moved closer
“I’m warning you...don’t take another step closer.” Thea warned,
bringing out a tome...
Still the group kept moving. They weren’t aiming for them...but the
park
The pieces clicked in Audax's mind. They were probably going for
the crystals! It would be bad if the cult got a hold of them; the'd
probably cause more explosions like the one in the plaza... Audax
and Fortem got ready to defend the park, each trying to charge up
their own magic.
Clamor still didn't know what was going on... but still he watched.
Xatina's horn was becoming darker with anger as she realized what
was going on. They couldn't get the crystals! Without thinking, she
had prepared a Dark Pulse. As of habit, she waited for a signal of
some kind before using it. With the air getting tenser, it took all
of Xatina's willpower to not accidently release the move.
Yung went pale. “...We don’t need to look far at all...” the plaza
had been completely destroyed. Moreover, they could see Emerald
laying to the side near their house after Audax helped him there to
be away from the fighting
Thea sighed. “I was hoping I didn’t have to use this...” she
brethed in and casted Gleipnir. A similar attack to what Atlas
pulled off earlier smashed into the group...but even then...it
wasn’t enough to stop them. They continued to move
Wow... ok, if that didn't stop them, it was time to attack. Fortem
and Audax unleashed their attacks, water and darkness
respectavely. Then, Fortem sent a barrage of rocks their way and
audax used swift.
Clamor watched, still confused. He saw the lycanroc "Fortem" from
earlier, so that side he was fighting on was either neutrals or
loyalists... but then who was the other side? He decided to jump in
if needed. Besides, he owed the wolf, and he liked to pay back his
debts.
Seeing that the others were using their attacks, Xatina closed her
eyes, and grit her teeth. She shot the Dark Pulse, using her anger
and all the force she could muster to power the move. It wouldn't
be much, but Xatina would give her all.
Clamor decided to hop into the fight. He could tell the opposing
side wasn't republicans, so he wouldn't need to fight his own side.
Besides, it would be better if he could pay back the debt he owed
sooner rather than later, and there was no hurt in getting some
extra practice in.
The attacks were much more abnormal, much like the cult. A dark
rain fell upon them all. It wasn’t much like water...it felt more
like thorns. They were falling and being knocked back...but the
onslaught kept coming
