Winter
“So what? Am I supposed to just follow what your cult does? Why the
hell are you out for this kingdom?” Jessiah growled
“Revenge. The humiliation... both the citizens and the
knights...Now Remember. Your end of the bargain. That is all. Or
you’ll know what will happen.” The hooded figure stated before
vanishing
Winter
Emerald had a faint inkling...how on earth did they get here?
“I’ll explain on the way back. For now, we have to get out of
here.” Emerald whispered as he slowly made his way to the exit
Winter nodded, following the Riolu out, wildly curious of what he
knew. He hadn't gotten a chance to see what he'd figured out while
on his half of the mission...he wanted to ask
Winter
“It isn’t even from the current situation. It’s from what happened
a year and a half ago when they kidnapped my dad. We had to go free
him...they’re a cult that believe in the end of the world, and they
tried to prevent us from stopping it.” Emerald said as they went
back to the portal
That honestly fit Winter's stereotype description of crazy cults.
Like, with crazy unrealistic goals and religion...or, at least,
that was how he saw it... "What would that have to do with Jessiah
or the civil war, though?"
Winter
“Hm...I think there’s more to it then just revenge...right? They’d
know who it was that stopped their past leader...” Emerald had no
idea about their goals. “Either way, I think they have planted
their roots in both factions...just a hunch.” He stepped through
the portal
Audax decided to make a plan for tommorow, so he wouldn't have to
make tough choices on the spot... everyone who knew him knew how
indecisive he was. Waking up early would be a good first step. He
could look for suspicious activity then, and if the guards asked
him about it... well, he could say he liked going on morning walks.
None of them really knew him, after all. Then, he'd go to a
training session and see if he could arrange a lesson in the
strategizing department where he could learn the loyalist plans. If
he had extra time, he could look for Fortem for info or find more
neutral pokemon, and possibly look for more suspicious behavior
again. Yep, that sounded like a solid plan to Audax!
"Oh, Emerald! Winter! Welcome back!" Audax hoped he hadn't gotten
the vulpix's name wrong... he still didn't know him too well. "I'm
glad you're safe," He bounded up to them. "Learn anything
interesting? What happened?" He asked.
Neutral
It was surprising that Audax hadn’t noticed Lumi resting her head
on him yet.
Either way, Emerald and Winter made it back safely. The bubble beds
were still there from yesterday and both Yung and Remus seem to be
tending to thr campfire as well as making/preparing food
Emerald nodded. “I think...the cults out to get us again...” he
took the mask off
Audax noticed Lumi, but didn't mind much. If anything, he was
surprised that the heir to the Luminian throne was acknowledging
him like this, let alone putting her head on his shoulder. He was
also surprised that she trusted him that easily... it was a little
naive, but no matter. His ears flapped up as he heard about the
cults though... "The cult? You mean... the one from like, two years
ago?" he asked, worried. He hadn't actually seen them, but Fortem
and Emerald had filled him in.
Emerald nodded. “Seems so...but here’s the thing, I don’t think
we’re the main targets...but...” he explained what he had heard.
“Anyways, that’s all I heard.”
Audax pondered it for a second. "Hmm... if they're involved, we'll
have to be even more careful, even if they're not after us..." He
paused. He had a weird hunch that this cult might have been
connected even deeper to the war than they thought... maybe they
were related to the killings...? No, that was just speculation on
his part, probably... He didn't bring it up. "We should get some
rest," He suggested. "We won't be able to do our job without
energy."
Margo trotted up beside the absol. the absol still hadn't eaten the
berry, and she seemed to be in a daze of sorts. Margo sat beside
her, and began to think as the snow piled on. the berry began to
slowly freeze, but Margo and the absol were warm. for the first
time in a long time, Margo just enjoyed the cold snow. she felt a
connection with nature. the Umbreon's body felt a tingling, and a
fizzle sound was heard. Margo re-opened her eyes, and stared. her
body was gone! so was the imprint of her body! she felt funny, and
reappeared, and she felt the new snow squish under her. *wow, this
is pretty cool.* Margo tensed, and disappeared, then became visible
again. she began to do this repeatedly, and she noticed the time
she was invisible became a tad shorter each time. but she was still
gone for a solid 3 minutes if she wanted to. she continued to d o
this over and over again.
Winter stayed silent as Emerald explained their experience to
Audax. He really didn't have much to report on his own end, as he
supposed he'd been rather late to the mission. He made a note not
to oversleep again...failing to notice Lumi's eye on him, he lazily
padded over to the shacks.
Winter
Lumi padded up to him. “Hey!” Her tail softly seished from side to
side as she walked over, sending snow sparkles to and fro. There
was something dignified in her walk, as expected of a member of the
royal family
Winter stopped where he was, watching the princess approach. "Umm,
hey, what's up?" As he spoke, he realized he should be speaking
more respectfully toward a royal family member, but he was honestly
just tired, and unused to high ranked pokemon talking to him,
despite being a supposed 'knight of Shimo'(or a squire, anyway), he
really wasn't in the snowy Kingdom all that much due to Kiro being
more of a traveler.
