Kingdom of Aeraya
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Kingdom of AerayaAlthough Ava would've preferred to stay and come up with a plan to prank Elliot twice, alas, they decided they will run with Noah. They believe that Noah is indeed wise with his choice as they later understood that facing Elliot would cause too much physical and emotional pain.
Panting, they finally entered the bakery with that familiar door jingle that matches their hat. That's one of the coolest things about these stores according to Ava, they really 'add to the flavor'. Completely oblivious to anyone or thing that might be tracking them and Noah, they caught their breath and cheerfully greeted the baker with an energetic wave
"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii !"
"hmm.. i should go and just make sure everything is okay if you decide to walk through town. will you allow me m'lady?"
Finding Noah and Ava weren't all that hard, with the help of Trirlk's summon and Ava's ostentatious clothing (read: their over-the-top hat) Elliot spotted the pair just as they dipped into the local bakery. Feeling his temper rise once again, Elliot took a moment to simply ground himself letting his breath flow in and out of his body in steady and controlled breaths. Once he felt that he was calm enough to confront his brother, he smoothed out his attire, made sure that his sword was still by his side, dangling from within its ebony sheath, and squared his shoulders.
Entering the bakery, Elliot lifted up a hand in greeting towards the baker and examining what was up for sale. "I'll have a tart if you please." He ordered, before glancing over to very slowly, and obviously fakely to act surprised at the sight of Ava and Noah. "My my, what a coincidence to run into the two of you here." He mused conversationally, his smile hiding blades and poison.
If she can just hurry a bit, then there'll be plenty of time for her to do something unbori- more cool stuff.
She looks at him with utter shock on her face. A smidge of betrayal lingers in her eyes. Her dad quickly claps her on the back, "W-well! I better go off selling that shovel! You go on ahead, my dear! Look around!"
Walking away, Thea looks around the city that has never appeared bigger. Nowhere to go than forward, she thinks as she begins to walk around.
As Kanata ended his latest tale, patting the heads of the many children that had gathered around him, he took note of the amount of activity within the town. Knights and royalty weren't uncommon sights within the general populous as the ruling family was benevolent and kind, yet there seemed to be a charged air around their activity. In turn that meant that more people came to Kanata to ask if he had heard anything. He hadn't obviously, but he wouldn't be lying if he said he wasn't curious.
"Come now 'children', it is time to 'return' to your parents." He murmured, his lilting voice carrying clearly above the hubbub of the town. The parents for their part seemed eager to ask him questions and Kanata smiled gently, willing to impart what wisdom he had. Beside him, the marketplace rumbled with the noises of travellers and bartering yet among the worldly possessional trade the small chapel stood amongst it as a small sanctuary of rest and reprieve from the mundane day to day work.
she quickly runs up to her and just stares at her. "oh, i probably shouldve seen if the princess wanted them. oh, or maybe i could get a discount on the bread if i gifted them flowers. ahhhhhh" she thought to herself as she continued to look up to this taller girl. "uhhhhhhhhhhhhh" she shoved the flowers in her hands. "yes. perfect." she nods at the girl and looks at the bakery. "well. if you may excuse me" she smiles and shifts back a bit. only 2 steps back
Thea quickly curtsies. "Thank you for the flowers, my uhh... uhm..." What do you call a knight in rich people language?! "Darling...?"
