Ace nods, crossing his arms behind his back and leading her up the stairs and back outside where they can walk to a nearby bench. As they walk, Ace takes a moment to process this new information. If he were going to talk, then she would be the one to tell. No... As far as they know, my only proof is a rumor. I need evidence. He glances up, realizing that he should say something. "Right, so... It's unsurprising that you haven't heard of us. We are supposed to be a secret anyway. Do you know how terrible it would be if our enemies learn that this kingdom has spies?" Ace asks. "As for this location-" he pauses. The truth, Scarlet liked that this place was mostly unheard of. "Our leader... Scarlet, she just liked the history behind this place" he adds with a tight smile. "Anything else?"

Regina was silent, and crossed her arms, trying to process this. "No...No, I suppose not. Actually, one more thing. Why did you run off like that? I mean, it's one thing to be in a hurry, but it's another thing to barely acknowledge someone you almost ran over."

"I-" he pauses, fighting to think of a good enough excuse. "I'm sorry about that, I was just distracted, I have a lot of work to do and not enough time to do it" he laughs and shakes his head. "You know how it is." He watches her expression carefully, hoping that she'll buy all of this. "So, is the interrogation over?" He asks with a grin.

Regina had learned a lot about habits that people had. She had interrogated many people and learned to read them easily. She could tell that he wasn't telling the truth and that he was nervous. Still, she decided not to press it. "It was just a couple of questions. Am I really that off-putting?" She stood up. "I'll go now. Obviously, you still need to finish that work and I don't want to be underfoot."

Ace grins. "You are quite terrifying to be honest" he jokes. He stands up with her and bows his head respectfully, fully forgetting that she had just told Scarlet that she didn't need to do that earlier. "I do hope my answers were sufficient. Have a great day general"

She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "As to you." She quietly headed out. Well, that was certainly a rather educating adventure. But she should probably get back to the castle. She was curious to see what had happened to the handful otherwise known as Prince Noah now that Elliot was after him.

It took longer than was comfortable for Tirik to locate the detainment center. And even longer then to locate the correct individuals. Everything seemed more uncomfortable as a Mage when there were more than two pairs of eyes on you. Briskly stepping up to the now awake detainee, he snapped his fingers. A small creature leapt from the Mage's right side, clearly from the belt, and hovered for a moment in front of the criminal. Each eye on the creature had two pupils. Each pupil had two colors. One head, sleek and angled, followed by a body like a tiny dragon with wings that matched. A long, curling tail leapt from the thing, just behind one of two sets of legs. Then, the thing started to act. Darting forwards, it slipped behind the man in the blink of an eye, frequently bumping him lightly. After a moment of that, it stopped. Tirik regarded the man with a curious glare. "Guard." The Magus turned to look at one of the men guarding the area. "Let this one out. I believe he's carrying a well concealed item that may be of interest."

The man nodded and stepped aside. He recognized Tirik, and was happy to obey him. Inside the small cell, the two men were still bound, back to back. One of them, the one that had attacked Regina, was staring at him in fear. The other, who had been unconuusus, glared at him. "Whaddya want?"

A shrill, brief whistle sounded from the Mage, and the creature retreated back to a small pouch on his belt. "The item you hold. What is it?" The Summoner reached to the left side of his belt, removed a small iron sphere, held it up. "Tell me what you've stolen from some unsuspecting Mage and I won't open the orb." He knew it probably wouldn't have any effect on the man, as the sphere was probably unknown to him. But Tirik himself was hesitant to use such a threat. The small creatures inside were brutal, unpredictable, and usually hard to recapture.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I sold off my last wares." He growled and spat at him. The other man whimpered. "D-don't, Gideon, we're in too deep over our heads." "Shut up, you!"

The Mage twitched when the spit reached his foot. "Hm. Foolish, aren't you, Gideon?" The Magus tossed the sphere in the air, muttered a few words, then flicked something else in the air. The second item sliced cleanly through the iron, releasing numerous little glowing spots. The words that the man spoke took effect, closing the three of them in a pulsating orange dome. "Pixies. You've heard of them, yes? They'll seek out both that magical item and the weak spots in your skin, flesh, bones, and organs. Essentially, they'll kill you to get at that artifact. It's not too late to call them off. All you need to do is give me what you have."

Gideon wasn't as confident now. "F-fine! Fine, just-just don't bring out those things. Untie me, and I'll give it to you." He scowled at the ground just as Regina came down to check on the criminals. "Problem here?"

Tirik smiled, then snapped his fingers. What has recently alive the sphere open began to spin, drawing the pixies back in. After a moment, the sphere was sealed shut again. Hearing a voice, Tirik pulled down the shield around the three and turned. "Ah! General Regina. Good to see you again." The Mage placed a closed fist on his chest and have a small bow before replacing the metal orb at his waist. "There's not a problem anymore, although I might suggest separate cells for these two. It's alright if I cut them loose momentarily, yes?" A tiny, glimmering blade had been drawn. It was not magic, not enchanted, and in fact was quite insignificant. It did, however, fit perfectly against the Mage's thumb so it practically disappeared.

Regina shrugged. "I suppose so. They'll be receiving separate sentences anyway, according to the intensity of their crimes. If you think you can deal with them...I don't even know if those dunderheads guarding this place even remembered to disarm them."

"Well, General, they've yet to be untied. If it happens one does have a weapon, I'm sure that there's a trick up my sleeve to take care of it." A slight wink was given, indicating, ever so slightly, that there was indeed something literally up the sleeve of the man. Lifting his hand, the tiny blade bit easily through the ropes, allowing them to fall to the floor. Stashing the blade, the Mage held out his hand. "A deal's a deal, now. What is it?"

Gideon rubbed his arms, before reaching into his pocket to pull out a small charm, holding out his hand. "Here," he grumbled. The other man scrambled away from him to the corner of the cell, eyes wide. "I told you not to take it! Why did you take it?" Gideon snapped at him, "I said shut your mouth, Isaam!"

Tirik studied the item for a moment. "Take it from.. Who?" Accepting the charm, he rolled it over in his palms, mumbling to himself. "First level charm, made by an amateur, maybe an apprentice." Glancing up, he repeated, "Where did this come from?"

Gideon stared at the ground and mumbled, "Found it."

"Found it where?" Stashing the small charm in a leather pouch on the back of his belt, Tirik allowed himself to become a little aggressive. It was a Summoner's charm, something to use against higher level spirits. To him, a fellow Summoner was like a brother. His hand settled on a small scale, something that shone in even the darkness of a pocket.

Gideon's hands curled into fists. "Why does it matter? You've got your magic thingie anyways." Regina took a step forward, hand on the hilt of her sword. "Answer the question!" "Fine, Fine. I nicked it off some guy walking in the streets. Looked like an idiot, so I grabbed my chance."
