It wasn't long before one Shaymin in particular darted in to greet
Kiro and Roran. To Winter, he could swear he'd seen her face
before, but hadn't really met her. Though in sky form, the Shaymin
had a gracidea on one of her wing-ears. She was hovering around the
two heroes, happily chatting with them. Even among strangers, this
was a familiar face, somewhat, at least.
Emerald was slowly taking steps to spin around, in wonder of the
sky, in wonder of the fields. There were so many Shaymin...so mang
flowers...Emerald loved it. He loved nature’s beauty...
“I’ve never seen some of these fur patterns before...!” Emerald
remarked in wonder as he tiptoed around carefully, avoiding doing
damage to the flowers
"Shaymin are born with weird mutations here sometimes!" A Shiny
Shaymin replied, circling them. "My name is Skye! Who are you, and
why are you following Kiro and Roran around?" It wasn't accusatory
at all, it sounded like she was just curious.
“Um...I was invited here by his apprentice...” Emerald murmured. “I
mean...If I can’t approach them then I guess I’ll go...” He took
that at value...it really didn’t help with his insecurities from
earlier
"Emerald, stop it. They let you come, that's justification enough!"
He hooked his paw around Emerald's arm, as if to stop him from
leaving. "I'm Winter by the way, the apprentice in question." He
said to Skye.
The Shaymin looked uncertain, turning to Kiro and Roran for
conformation, but the two showed no signs they had heard.
Winter held his head up, beginning to walk away, muttering. "We
don't need them to believe us..." He wandered closer to his
masters, at least pretending to take interest in their sky
companion.
Emerald began slowly walking after Winter...though he was on the
verge of just heading back. But anyhow, he stood near Winter...
just coming to terms with everything. He then broke out of the
negative thoughts and began thinking of happier things, such as
sundaes and ice cream. As well as lemonade
The three seemed to just be having a friendly chat before the
Shaymin took notice of them. She landed to greet them. "So, are
they both your apprentices?" She tilted her head at them, looking
intrigued.
Emerald quickly shook his head and took a step or two away at that.
“N-No...I’m just a friend to Winter...” He murmured as he looked at
the Gracidea flowers. He immediately caught himself before he could
say any more. The first thing would have been. ‘I don’t have that
talent’
Winter barely stopped himself from grabbing Emerald's paw and
yanking him back...why was he acting so strange?
The Shaymin nodded. "That would make sense. I don't think these
idiots could possibly take on two!" She affectionately nudges
Roran's leg. "By the way, My name is Reye. You must be Winter, and
you are...?" She asked Emerald...she felt like she'd heard of
someone matching his description before, but the name was on the
tip of her tongue
“...and with that...I’ll um...” He immediately took off. That was
the last push. In the end...he still had many insecurities to him.
At times like this, he wished he could be taken more
seriously...
He was heading his way back to the cave where Typhoon and possibly
Sparky was...he didn’t know the route but he felt out his
godfather’s aura, and went off of that.
The Shaymin looked rather startled, and watched him go. "Well,
umm..." Winter didn't give her time to answer, he dashed after his
friend, though he trailed behind...he hadn't expected him to run
like that...
Emerald’s top speed was something else altogether... he weaved here
and there. It was said that Riolu csn run for hours without
stopping and he was demonstrating it now...
He only briefly stopped once he thought he was far enough away, and
put a paw on a tree, panting. Almost there, almost back to reunion
with his godfather...
Winter had lost him, huffing he stopped, feeling a little to
emotional to handle himself, and stopped trying to chase him.
Grumbling, he found his way to the Great river, heading for the
woods.
