"Emerald! Why did you run off like that? You started acting strange
the moment we made it the flower fields..." He wasn't sure how to
take the affection...he didn't understand what was going on...
He sighed. “I just...broke when the Shaymin...you know what...” He
began confessing his insecurities to him. How Winter would be
famous one day and that
Winter's ears dropped. "That...I don't know about that." For him,
it was hard for him to imagine himself in that position...placed on
a pedestal, honored as a hero... "But I don't want that to stop you
from being...just a friend to me. I mean, I heard celebs hardly
know who to trust when everyone loves them...they don't know who
likes them for who they are as a Pokemon or who only is there
because of their status. You and my school friends will probably be
the only ones I trust...I don't know if that helps, but does that
make sense?"
"I'll have some privacy...I hope. We're not show actors...anymore.
Heroes like us are constantly on the move, saving Pokémon in
danger, we're careful about where we stop for breaks, and we're
usually quiet about it...but you remember Shimo, right? And that
mansion for esteemed visitors and residents? If I ever return to my
home, I'll be there, okay? I'm not shutting you out just because I
may or may not become famous or something."
He nodded slowly. “Mmn...I guess...I don’t know...I’m gonna miss
the fun times we had...” he murmured as he started slowly walking
back to the cave where he started his day, allowing Winter to
follow if he wished
At this point, dusk was falling. Winter would be heading in that
direction anyway. He shook off his dampened pelt before following,
feeling rather uncertain himself
Archion was there to lazily greet them, even though it wasn't fully
dark yet, he looked sleepy as he waved to them. There was evidence
that Kiro and Roran had already returned
Emerald gently gave Archion a quick nuzzle as he went to search for
Typhoon, though he was definitely open to neet more of Team
Eclipse. Some of them had interesting names, and probably had
interesting personalities too...including one named Floofy...
Kiwi and most of the others were asleep. The only ones awake were
Shadow, for obvious reasons, Nova, and Silver, and the two were
playing while the Umbreon watched. Shadow smiled as they came in
Emerald waved cheerily as he came in, his earlier worries slowly
evaporating as they entered. His father used to be part of a rescue
group too, and travelled around a lot too...he used to want it too,
until certain events happened
Winter trudged over to Roran where he had fallen asleep, and
snuggles against his fluff, falling unconscious next to him as his
warm melt melted his worries away.
Nova ran over to greet the Riolu. "Hi!" She greeted a little
loudly, wagging her tail. The newcomer's appearance seemed to have
grabbed the attention of both the Eevee and Silver.
"Wha-huh? Oh hi!" Emerald was surprised by the sudden greeting, but
put his usual sunny smile on. He could tell this one had quite the
spark in her step, in her mannerisms and voice.
"I didn't get to meet you when you first came in! I'm Nova, if you
didn't know." The reason for the Eevee's name was quite clear, with
the white, four pointed star birthmark on her forehead.
"Yeah, haha...let's just say I had quite the meeting..." Emerald
murmured as he fixed the pin on his left ear. "Name's Emerald! I'm
uh....not from around here." He said slowly. "I'm from somewhere
else."
"Winter invited me...and Typhoon brought me here..." He murmured.
Speaking of which...where was he? He didn't want to look too hard
in case he was busy or something.
"The one that looks like a green Flick? Uh, yeah, he crashed." She
flicked her tail at a sprawled out Typhoon, snoring softly. Sparky
was leaning against the wall beside him.
"Flick...?" That name sounded familiar...oh wait, it was that
Mewtwo that didn't like conversation...or interaction. "Ah
right....so um...." He sighed as he leaned on the wall. "Are you
not sleepy yet...?"
