Amelia stopped, glaring at Meisto even more. "God I wished i killed
you when i first met you..." Muttering under her breathe as she
continued to work on her wound. It was a rather deep cut she had
made.
“Either way, I would just come back to torment you~” she gave a
weak giggle followed by a smile. “But if you did...” she smile
quickly faded awa. “Maybe all this wouldn’t have happened... Maybe
I would’ve got the hint that I was never really meant to be on this
stupid world...” she stopped, realizing that she was starting to
ramble. “Anyways... I’m guessing I have to sleep now...”
"Fine...I guess that's only fair-WATCH OUT!" Barely catching a
glimpse of the shard from the corner of her eye,she pushed Floyd
away which resulted in the glass shard slightly cutting her arm.
"Ack! I-It doesn't hurt that much, don't worry." she said as she
held her wounded arm. Her backpack didn't have any sort of medical
supplies, she couldn't bother to search and take them when she was
getting kicked out.
"Yes, you need some rest if you're body is going to heal. While
your sleeping i'll take care of him." head tilted to the other
member in the room, as she packed up her supplies.
Yelping as he was unceremoniously shoved to the side, Floyd growled
and grabbed Laura. "Don't be reckless." He scolded, crouching low,
ready to pounce at the sight of enemy movement. It wasn't like he
had any medical equipment on him either. His pockets had been
emptied and the only real thing that could be used as a bandage was
his scarf which he didn't feel like offering up as a bandage
substitute. The wound also didn't look that grievous so he wasn't
too worried, his attention trained instead on any potential
enemies.
"...sorry..." Laura said, hanging her head a bit low. She kept
looking everywhere for ghosts,or any projectile thrown. She doubted
that some human could have intruded in their room, she would have
definitely heard it as she was on the lookout. "Can you spot
anything?"
The glass shard was lost in the clutter of the room, but the spirit
still remained. It knew it couldn’t do anything now that it didn’t
have a weapon, and it didn’t really want to do anything either.
Before it disappeared into the walls of the hotel, a solemn little
“sorry” was heard.
"I thought that was you." He scoffed, brushing off the dust on his
clothes. Floyd kicked over a few items. He never was one to
apologize, especially not for weird things like getting protected.
His biggest guess was someone who either wanted to kill them and
chickened out, or a ghost who wanted to kill them and chickened
out. Either way, their opponent chickened out and ran which was so
boring. They also interrupted their conversation just when it was
getting to the good bit too. "So? Gonna tell me what's on you're
mind? Clocks ticking~"
"Yeah... Well, because of my body,I was quite popular amongst boys.
Eventually some approached me and they seemed nice so I ended up
hanging out with them. Highschool life just started so I thought i
was on the right tracks, already having made some friends." She
sighed and took a deep breath, trying to recollect her thoughts.
"Long story short I..." She turned around, showing him her back. She
didn't want to look at him. "I'm no longer pure..." She was
hoping he would understand. "Anyway, peer pressure got to me and I
immediately stopped hanging out with them and as a
result...well...the whole school knows and eventually my family was
also informed... If you were wondering why I was walking on a
highway, with a backpack on,it's because I was kicked out..." She
barely managed to finish the sentence before bursting into tears.
That was it? She was worried about having her v card stamped so
young? God that's dumb. Yeah, Floyd knew that teenagers were stupid
and school was even stupider, that's exactly why he dropped out of
school in the first place, but the hear that some people were so
ignorant and insensitive that they shunned someone away just
because they slept around was infuriatingly silly. "Why are you
crying though? Is being pure really that important? I've known
ladies who sold their bodies ever since they looked the part." He
rolled his eyes, glancing over to frown at the sound of unending
waterworks. "Jeez, stop crying already. If your parents threw you
out they must've been trashy parents from the start, disowning
their kid over something so dumb."
"What I did was unacceptable in all aspects... No,being pure isn't
that important but you know,I would much prefer having my v card
expired under better circumstances." She said as she started
whimpering, trying her best to stop crying. "D-Don't you hate me? Or
think I'm weird and perverted?" She turned around and barely
managed to say those two sentences looking at him. Laura kept
wiping her tears away and rubbing her eyes. God,how childish is
she?
Sighing though his nose at the annoying situation and marched over
to grab Laura into a bone crushing hug. "Dummy why the hell would
something insignificant as that make me hate you? Jeez, I grew up
in the slums, you have to do better than that if you want to join
the trash scraps of society." He grumbled, awkwardly patting her
head. Squeezing the girl tightly, Floyd hoped that this way, she'd
at least stop crying and sober up somewhat. While Floyd didn't
understand why people needed to do such a useless thing such as
crying, he knew that this was probably something Laura was bottling
up for a while and it was better for her to let all her tears out.
"T-Thank you... Why are you so nice to me?" She said as she turned
to face him, barely managing to fit her chest and whatnot. "A-Ack!
Too tight! Too tight!" She exclaimed as she struggled to find a
comfortable spot for her to breathe. It hadn't been that long but
that hug reminded her of when this whole thing started. She also
dropped the knife,as she felt that if she held it for much longer
she would accidentally stab him.
"Now... Isn't that sweet." Amelia said grumbling under her breathe
looking at the 2 humans in her room. It was annoying as she
planned to come back here and rest after the whole ordeal with
Meisto who is sleeping and healing up properly, but apparently now
that is not possible anymore. It just had to be one of those days
where life just straight up hates her. Glowering at the 2, she
hoped they would take notice and move. Sorry!!
Opening his mouth to answer and maybe let go of her since she asked
so nicely, Floyd snapped his mouth shut and growled, holding Laura
closer when he saw who was also in the room. Glaring over her head,
Floyd slowly walked backwards to put distance between them. "We
have company." He warned, voice low as he kept his eyes trained on
Amelia. Wasn't that the ghost he encountered at the dining room?
Laura's head was too close to Floyd's body, which resulted in her
not being able to turn around and see what it was. From the lack of
footsteps she assumed it was a ghost. "What're we gonna do?!?" She
buried her face deeper. "Oh! My knife's on the ground!" she barely
said,muffled by Floyd's body.
Well, the ghost didn't seem to be attacking the just yet and if
Floyd had learned anything, it was that picking a fight with ghosts
only landed him in a foul mood. So he simply stood his ground and
watched, waiting if the ghost would make any move. He sure as hell
wasn't going to turn tail and run. "I'm going to keep an eye on the
ghost. Slowly pick up the knife." He instructed before loosening
his grip on Laura, not quite dropping his arms, but giving her
enough room to slip out of the hold
"Move. out. of. my. room."Her voice low and dangerous as her
glare became even stronger. If these humans do not get the hint,
she might have to resort to throwing them out of the room
personally. Honestly, they are very annoying. Sometimes she suspect
that he is doing this on purpose to get on her nerves.
Laura distanced her face from Floyd's body and took a deep breath
since she wasn't able to breathe that well before. She crouched and
made a couple of steps towards the knife, having her back turned on
the ghost, which seemed somewhat familiar. "Alright! I got it." She
said as she grabbed it and faced the ghost with a mean look, trying
to look intimidating while she slowly side-stepped towards Floyd.
"This ain't your room! This is a huge hotel, just go to another
one!" she exclaimed, sticking her tongue out.
