"I sometimes wonder why I am still existing..." and with that
Amelia left, making sure to put a great distance between Laura and
Floyd and her. Turata was still in her possession and as she took
him, he woke up, groaning from the pain.
Meitso sighed as she walked out of the room, almost missing Turata
along the way. She stopped to look at him before closing her eyes
and taking a deep breath. “Oh great... you’re alive...” she
grumbled before grabbing him by the arm and pulling him up. “I’ve
got stuff to do, so you better be able to stay alive until I get
back...” she grumbled yet again before walking away, heading
towards Yoshitiro’s office.
Before he could say anything, Meitso had suddenly yanked him up,
bringing a surge of pain along with it. He nearly yelped from it.
“W-what’s that supposed to mean...?” He muttered before leaning
back against the wall, looking over at Amelia.
"Knowing from experience I think she is going to bother him again.
Don't move too much you are not fully recovered yet. Take this 3
times a day and you should be fine" Throwing him a bottle of
medicine, Amelia floated about bored.
After a short while,Laura opened a door and after ivestigating a
tad bit she noticed two corpses. "AAAAA!!" she yelled, getting the
shivers. "F-Floyd!!!" she screached. After peaking her head out
again to get a better look at the two corspes, she instantly
regretted it. Countless stabs wounds could be spotted and a big
puddle of blood had covered the bodies. A lot of sliced body parts
could also be spotted. Raccoon Eyes' sunglasses were still intact
though and there was a blondie next to him as well.
Whipping around at Laura's cry, Floyd rushed over, long legs
carrying him to his partner's side in no time flat. Taking in the
scene before them, he scowled and tugged Laura back, slamming the
door shut. Grabbing Laura's hand, he swiftly walked away,
distancing them from the murder scene. Floyd himself wasn't that
affected by the reveal, used to seeing death and horror, but he had
learned over the night that Laura was different from him.
Shaking her head at the screams. Amelia knew that they had to get
used to it. I mean, you would have to see corpses every single day
until you win or till the day you die. It is just the ritual here
after all.
"Th-they're really dead!" she sobbed a bit. "I-I think there was
another person other than us...right?!! She thought she was
prepared to witness murder but she was dead wrong. She held
on to Floyd, trying to calm herself.
Ah, this was annoying. Rolling his eyes, Floyd awkwardly out his
hat on Laura head, trying to calm her down. "I mean, the ghost dude
did say that people were going to die." He pointed out under his
breath but otherwise stayed silent, letting Laura cry on his
shoulder. He wasn't phased at all, used to the fragility that was a
human life. Though Floyd had to wonder how the hotel was going to
dispose of the bodies. Rotting corpses weren't pleasant
"Doesn't that mean that now there are two more ghosts?" her crying
stopped as she was now deep in thought, very out of character. She
held on to the hat. "At least they deserve a proper burial...." she
added.
"It's not like we can bury them or anything." Floyd groused, making
a show of whining while he walked back towards the two bodies.
Don't get him wrong, he didn't feel the need to respectfully
despise of the corpses and he wasn't doing it because Laura asked,
it would just be a pain to let bodies rot, that was just asking for
people to be infected with a disease of some sort.
Amelia do not know what is worse, the fact that there are dead
bodies in the halls or the fact that spirits are still active,
seeking out for a new prey. "God... Can't they stop messing this
place uppp." She has never hated the fact for existing even
stronger than before.
Laura entered the room as well, seeing as she had no other option
really. "What're you going to do?" Maybe he had some sort of idea
to bury their bodies or something. "Can I help?" she asked as she
took a closer look around the room, mostly trying to ignore the
blood and the major injuries so as to not annoy Floyd. There were
many places where ghosts could've snuck in or ambushed them in
general.
Turata stuffed the bottle in his pocket, then peeled inside the
room just to see something that made him instantly recoil. The
sight disturbed him enough to nearly make him throw up. “What t-the
heck?!” He managed to get out.
Meitso had finally made it to his room. She walked in with a smile
and a devious look in her eyes. “Hello again! So glad I could
finally make it!” She walked closer to him, knife in hand. “What do
you want...” he grumbled, not turning to face her. He was staring
at the 3 in the monitors instead, trying to decide on what to do
next. “Oh don’t be so gloomy, I’m just here to have a nice chat!
You’re bored, I’m bored, and I doubt that guy wants to come back.”
She had now had her hand rested on the back of the chair. “So...
why are you still here? You know you can just leave and poof!
Everything will be gone. I’ll be the only thing that’s left...” she
smiled as she looked up at the monitors along with him. “Just find
a different place to stay at, it will be much better...”
“I never wanted to talk... Get out of my sight, I won’t be
answering any of your stupid questions...” he began to get up to
meet with the group, but he was met with a knife right at his
throat. “Oh yes you will... Come on, I thought we were buddies! I
wanna know more about you! Besides...” she paused for a second, her
smile growing wider. “I don’t want you talkin to them juuuuust
yet.”
