Erika scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Fine, but mark my words when I say that you're going to change your mind by the end of this journey!" She called after her. Scout blinked. "...I like her. She's nice."

Scout's tail wagged and he gave a cheerful bark as if to agree.

Lucius broke and he turned back to face Henry. "I'm not short, I'm average! You're just tall!" he barked at Henry. Even Yuumei felt a bit offended. "Shinx, Shinx, Shinx!" Yuumei said, flailing a bit on Lucius's head like she was saying that she would grow to be as large as Henry someday. "Who are you anyway?" Lucius asked.

Marla stuck up a certain finger with a thin ring around it before enrering the snowy route. "Mai, okay. Let's train up. You're... ice type so you'll beat bug type." she murmured.

Erika snorted and looked at Scout. "Let's do this, bud. Let's find some strong psychic-types for you to bite. And I'll make sure you don't faint." She grinned. Scout barked his approval and Erika wandered around the route.

Marla crunched throigh reigns and leave wine to the ground by the latest snowstorm. Mai, on the other hand, followed before after aggressively tackling many Pokémon, leveling up each time quickly.

Good job, Luci. You've embarrassed yourself, yaaaaaay! he thought but really he was more angry than embarrassed. He sighed and followed Henry who seemed to be the worst person he had ever met. He thought it was all going well until something was launched at his face.

Lucius yelped and scrambled to see what it was. "S-Shinx!" Yuumei called out and pointed to the exact same Scatterbug that stole his camera.

“One dark type move by he end of this route. That’s all we need. Right?” Erika looked down at Scout, who was leveling up at a good rate. Scout nodded and growled at a wild pokemon who got too close for comfort.

Nico and Ronno had advanced a bit on the path to Nimfuu. She would look around them every few steps to see if any pokémon were close. She did feel a bit bad for having to battle them but she knew Ronno needed the experience if they were to clear the first gym. Noticing the deer pokémon shiver slightly Nicoline decided it was time for a break. "We will have to try finding some gear for you too so you can keep warm" Nico said giving the deerling a hug hoping it would warm him atleast a little bit. "Deer, deer" Ronno replied happy to recieve the attention from his new trainer.

"Hey, Scout, do you remember if I--" Erika checked every single pocket of her bag to no avail. "Urg. Forgot my pokeballs. I was really hoping to get you a friend."

Scout shrugged, seeming content with the way things were right now. "Well in any case, it'll be nice to have another pokemon on the team. Maybe Marla has some."

"Well what else do you think it is?" Lucius replied. Don't tell me this dude is afraid of bug-types... he thought, feeling an imaginary sweat drop on his forehead, he won't survive the next gym. He directed his attention back to the Scatterbug and took a quick picture of it before sending Yuumei into battle. "Yuumei, use Tackle!" he commanded. Yuumei ran up to the Scatterbug and with a quick but hard tackle, it was thrown back.

"A b-bug type." Henry swallows thickly. He'd always had an irrational fear of those, ever since he got bit by one and it got infected. "I-I don't like them." he shivered, backing up.

"No good Pokémon around here... I came prepared for nothing." Marla murmures as she reaches over halfway of the route. She can faintly make out the tall windmill in the front of Nimfuu city, but it's too far away. She uses a spray poition on Mai before holding an empty Pokeball up.

Erika whistled as she went through the route. I wonder where everyone else is, anyway. She thought, scanning the route for any other sign of life. Scout leapt into a snowpile, jolting Erika out of her thoughts. With a giggle, she scooped him back up and headed towards the silhouette of Marla.

"You'd be pretty s-scared if one bit you and gave you a really bad infection!" Henry grumbled angrily as he held up his left wrist, where a small circular scar that looked like it had bite marks was partially visible.

"Come on, Mai." Marla murmured as Mai crawled forward to her trainer, who then picked her up and put her on her shoulder. Mai soon jumped onto Marla's head, causing the trainer to crack a half-second grin.
