Tiger sighed and shook his head in disgust. He then took his bowl
to the sink and rinsed it off. "You disgust me Ivan. You are not a
legendary you are a ditto. Wait no ditto is better than you as
well...you are a cheater and a coward. You talk big game, and act as
if you're strong, but you're not. You don't have any powers when
you're imitating a legend, and you think you can't die either? Yes
legends die...so does everyone!" He growled. He then looked to
Cyndaquil and sighed, "and you're welcome to the food" he grumbled
and walked outside with Cyndaquil to get away from Ivan.
"For Arceus's sake--" Mel groaned and banged her head on the
counter. "Guys, can we just--" She sighed and sank to the floor,
wrapping her arms around her knees. "We worked together? When?" She
shook her head silently.
("well, then lets see if a ditto can do this!" *IVAN DROWNS TIGER WITH SINK WATER*)
"So Im just a Ditto?" Ivan got up. "Well, I guess I should't have
offered myself to help you guys out then. Not like you need my help
anyways." Ivan got up.
Mel groaned and smacked her head against the wall behind her again.
"Guys--" She started, falling quiet after a few seconds. She had
nothing else to say.
Tiger sighed and walked across the beach. He glanced at Cyndaquil
who was walking behind him silently. "Weren't you a bit rude to
Ivan?" the Pokemon asked quietly.
Tiger looked over and sighed "maybe, but he needs to stop thinking
of himself as a legendary." He said with a quiet mutter.
"I'm gonna.. Step.. outside.." Mel murmured, pushing herself up.
She pushed open the door and trudged out, she was positive the
argument had triggered her 'flight' mode. She scampered away from
the house, Riu following after her in concern.
"Think we'll ever be able to work together?" Mel asked quietly,
slowing her pace slightly.
Tiger sighed and shook his head. He then looked at the sky "how can
we even work together when we have problems with our group...I
don't want this to end up like Ecruteak all over again" the trainer
said sadly and sat down.
"I know, but if we keep arguing with on another it will end this
way." Cyndaquil said darkly. Tiger nodded and sighed.
"Maybe we should just surrender" Tiger growled lowly and thought of
the events in Johto many years ago.
"Maybe we should all just split off." Mel sighed, sitting in a
tree. She kicked her legs in boredom. "I mean.. We do better on our
own, anyway." She stared at the ground. "Or maybe we should just go
home."
Riu, startled, nearly fell out of the tree. "What?? No! You just
got out of there!"
"Things aren't going any better here. All this.. All this arguing
reminds me of my mom anyway." She shrugged.
"Since when do you surrender?" Cyndaquil asked in shock and
saw the sincerity in Tiger's eyes.
"Since now. I'm tired of fighting. I'm tired of worrying if
everyone will get hurt. I mean Mel broke her arm...and if something
else happens that might kill them" he sighed and shook his
head.
"At least think this over!" the Pokémon said in shock. Tiger
sighed and grabbed Cyndaquil's pokeball.
"I'm not going to think this over. My mind is set, and I'm going to
aether alone" Tiger said lowly. He then returned the Pokémon and
summoned Dusk.
They don't need you. Mel repeated over and over in her head,
currently sitting under a tree, arms wrapped around her legs,
drawing them to her chest. "Maybe we should go home." She
finally said.
Riu glanced down at her and shrugged. "You know I'll back you
up, no matter what happens. But going home is an awful idea. I
mean, is it even home anymore? You.. Nobody ever goes there
anymore. Not after-"
"Stop. Please."
"I'm sorry." Riu said sincerely, dropping from the branch to
sit beside her.
Mira had left long before the others, during the argument. She was
mostly unnoticed. Now, she was with Sals, on the shore of Kala'e
Bay, looking out into the water. "It's bluer here in Alola," She
muttered, tossing a stone into the water. "The water. I thought
we'd go swimming at some point."
Sals looked over. With one wing he splashed some water on her. Mira
giggled slightly, but the smile quickly disappeared again. "Maybe I
should go home. For good. Especially now that..." She trailed off
and leaned against Sals. "...Those bikers."
Dusk looked at Tiger suspiciously as the trainer explained his
plan. "Are you insane!? You could get hurt or-" the Pokémon
snapped in shock, but was cut off by Tiger
"If I can talk to Lusamine maybe I can stop her..." Tiger said
quietly.
"That s the dumbest thing I've ever heard" the Pokémon
snapped. "I'm not going to take you!"
Tiger sighed, and climbed onto the Pokémon. "Sorry Dusk but I'm
going I have to end this...before Ivan does something he might
regret" he said quietly. Dusk sighed and nodded he then took to the
sky.
For the first time in her entire life, Mel was homesick.
She wanted to go back to Unova and hang out with Iris. Maybe Gio
was still around. All she knew was that she wanted to go
home.
It wasn't that she didn't like Alola; That wasn't it at all. She
loved Alola. It was beautiful, and she'd met so many amazing
people. But she needed a break, she was only human. Even Riu was
growing tired.
"We might as well just launch a full scale attack on Aether." Mel
sighed. Riu shrugged.
Something landed on the ground behind her. "Go away, Noctowl. Now's
not the best time..." Mira sniffed.
Noctowl hopped to the other side of her not occupied by Sals. He
nudged her with one wing. "I said go away," Mira said more firmly,
looking over. Noctowl shook his head. "What! What do you want?!"
Mira snapped, glaring at the pokemon.
Noctowl seemed taken aback. He fumbled for a moment before pulling
out a gray hat, putting it on the ground before Mira. She hissed
slightly, recognizing it as a Rocket hat. "Yeah? What about it?"
Noctowl picked it up and chucked it into the ocean. Mira,
surprised, wiped the tear out of her eye and looked once more to
Noctowl, who pulled out a pokeball. It was old and faded, with one
crack on the red. "Th-This... Why did you keep it?" Mira whimpered,
closer to tears now. Noctowl looked back to the hat floating on the
bay. and tapped the pokeball with one talon.
“This is how it’ll end. Everyone will go home and let Aether do
it’s thing. I cannot believe it.” Victor said to himself and called
Flare.
“Let’s go joyriding to Aether Paradise without protection or
planning. They’ll kill us easily then and it’d be a better way to
end things. At least I wouldn’t be running away.” Victor said.
“That’s insane. But you’ve given much more insane orders
before.” Flare replied, making a mental note to not let Victor
die at all costs.
Dusk landed in the shadows of Aether's island. "Please
reconsider this. You might get hurt" the Pokémon said in
fear.
Tiger sighed and placed Cyndaquil's pokeball in Dusk's paws. "I'm
going and that's that. I don't want everyone to get hurt, and turn
against one another like it did in Ecruteak. I'm going in alone and
if I'm lucky I'll go and get this sorted out" the trainer said
lowly. Before Dusk could respond Tiger ran into Aether.
Dusk growled "I need to get help before Lusamine hurts
him..." the Pokémon growled and flew off to look for the
others.
Flare took off to fly towards Aether Paradise. He suddenly Mega
Evolved into Mega Charizard X.
“Number 1, you can mega evolve without my permission? And number 2,
you usually use X form only for battles and Y only for flying not
the other way round.” Victor asked, suspicious.
Mira shut her eyes tightly, understanding. "I-" She wiped a tear
again. She felt Sals hug her and she let him. "Th-There is a
p-point t-to... Going back..." She whispered. "I'm not done yet. I
never was done. I..." She opened her eyes. Noctowl nodded very
slowly. "So I should go back?" Mira asked, putting her cold hands
on her burning cheeks.
Noctowl nodded. "How soon?" Mira added. Sals and Noctowl looked at
each other before shaking their heads. "Not very. You're right... I
need to be sure I'm ready."
Dusk flew over head looking for someone to help. He caught a tail
wind and looked to the ground. He wasn't paying attention and he
almost collided with Flare. Cyndaquil's pokeball fell from his paw
and fell into the ocean near Mira.
Tiger walked through aether. A grunt then grabbed his arm and
stopped him "you again?" He growled lowly. Tiger looked at the
grunt coolly.
