Riu murmured the letter aloud, shoving the pokeball towards Tiger, rubbing his eyes.

Mel kept her face hidden. "I know." She said quietly. "You'd better text me." She said sternly, removing the hoodie to glare at him.

(ok but what if the reason ivan has to go back to kalos is because his dad got caught up on the fire)

Ivan decided to emerge out of the ocean and get closer to them. He turned back into his human form. "Um...hey."

Tiger smiled slightly "of course I'll text you! How else will I keep in contact with my wife" he joked referencing an earlier joke that Victor had made. He then froze and looked over to Ivan.

Mel cracked a grin. "If my husband dies, I'm coming down to Johto and bringing down hell on everyone." She teased, pausing and glancing at Ivan. "Hey, Ivan." She smiled.

Mel glanced at her pokégear and froze. "I need to go." She murmured, checking the time. "Wait, here-" She reached into her backpack, pulling a heal ball out. She forcefully handed it to Tiger, stepping back quickly. "It's a Riolu I stole from Lusamine's frozen collection. Take care of him."

Riu took a few steps back.

(btw for the sequel can we not pull out an ash ketchum here and actually age up everyone)

"I'm sorry about everything too, Ivan." Tiger said softly, and he hugged Mel back. He then froze, "Oh hey. I almost forgot I snagged this from Lusamine before she went into the portal" he said quickly and handed her a golden orb. "It's a Griseous Pearl. Snow said it can mega evolve Giratina. You can use it or not, but I thought you might want it" he said softly.

Mel smiled and accepted it. "If I can actually get into contact with my centipede, I'll definetly try it out. Thanks, Tiger. It's like a wedding ring or something." She smirked. "And don't worry Ivan. It could have been any of us."

"We gotta go." Riu repeated, tugging on her sleeve.

"I know, I know. Thanks for everything, dorks." She grinned, popping the roller blades back on her shoes. She skated off, pausing for a moment. "Let's do this again!" She called, waving at them. Riu sprinted after her, pausing to wave as well. And then they exchanged a high-five and skated off, leaving dust in their wake.

"I'll text you later" Tiger called and waved to Mel and Riu. He glanced at Ivan for a moment and sighed before summoning Dusk, and taking the page rider gear off the pokemon. "I should head back to. Johto is twelve hours behind Alola, and I'd like to get home before Dawn" he said softly before pausing. "Do you need a ride anywhere? I'm passing Kalos, and Hoenn on my way back..."

Seems like there was nothing else to do there. Ivan needed to go home though. Who knows what his mother could decide on doing. He got into the ocean and swimmed off.

Victor now stood on Alola, alone. Well, not completely alone, as he had with him a now-conscious Delphi. She was sobbing.
"I'm so- so- Sorry this happened. I just want to sink in the water and never return. I let down EVERYONE. Olympia, and all those gym students in Kalos. Everyone. Even you all. I was always jealous of your friendship. I guess I'll just go back to Kalos and cry myself to death."

"No. You won’t." Victor said, noticing the jarring lack of people on the beach. She's going to make me cry. "Well, come to Kanto with me and stay with us till we figure out something. I could do with company there."
Victor sent out Flare, and he and Delphi set off on the Charizard towards Kanto.

End of Victor (and Delphi's) Story.
