Cutter burst through the last few trees, and was immediately
running past what looked like an office block. He pointed his gun
into the air and fired once.
Atriox slowed upon hearing the gunshot. Every instinct screamed at
him to stop and dive for cover. Then he realized his mistake. By
that time, his prey was too far ahead for him to reasonably hope to
catch her again. Solium and Polous jogged up to him. "Tell me you
got the man." he said. Their faces said it all. His face remained
blank for a second and then he let out a roar that would've been
heard for miles around.

The human had dodged my attack, but it wasn't that simple. Dave had
found a huger bolder than the last one, and attached it on it's
arm. Dave lumbered around, looking for humans to eat. Suddenly,
Dave heard a gun shot that went in the air. "Perfect." It
thought as it went over to where the shot originated. The same
person that it tried to kill before made that sound. It popped off
it's hand, and laid it on the human's foot.
Sylvie winced as she heard the roar. She slowed down back to her
normal running pace, after she had cleared the city limits.
Standard procedure, she began to take in her surroundings. She was
in front of what seemed to be a large mall, though the paint had
washed off and vines were creeping up the building. There was also
a hospital nearby, and in the shadow of the mall she could see a
small pizza place. She began walking towards where she had heard
the gunshot, hoping it was Cutter.
Kioiki and Canial left both of them and went to their 'home' which
was actually a cave at the middle of forest. A cave which was
vacant because they killed the lion and ate it when they first
arrived.
Sylvie somewhat lazily jumped over a high stone wall. She was in an
office block, the high, square buildings arranged in freakishly
neat order, each the same distance from the other. True to her
guess, there Cutter was. Along with... was that a moving stone?
Sylvie frowned, squinting at the sight. Not exactly sure what to do
in such a situation.
Cutter looked up, unsure. "Err... s**t?" he asked. His hand was on
his gun, though he was rather doubtful that it would affect a rock.
He slowly started backing away. He was contemplating whether or not
he should run. Perhaps it's vision was based on movement or
something like that. 'If only I was that lucky...'

"Cutter! This way!" Sylvie hissed, hoping for a few things to be
true. Namely, that the rock-thing would be slightly slower than
them, given it was a rock, that hopefully the vines would tear
under its weight, and if last came to last, that it wouldn't be as
agile and good at parkour as they were. Also, she hoped that Marine
training included freerunning and parkour courses. Using a
convenient window ledge, she boosted herself up. As she'd guessed,
climbing the large, overgrown vines was somewhat easy. "Cutter!"
Sylvie called out louder, waiting for the man before going any
further. She owed him that much, at the very least.
Cutter turned around, saw Sylvie, mentally plotted the quickest
route to her and ran as fast as he could. He easily vaulted over a
wall and threw himself at the vines, found a handhold, and started
climbing. . In seconds, he was standing in front of Sylvie. "Run."
he advised. It seemed that, in the last half-an-hour, his life had
boiled down to that one word.

"Hey, where are you going? I want breakfast already!" Dave shouted
at the humans. "Jeez, where can get service around here?" It chased
the humans. It realized that it was too slow, so he couldn't do
anything, but one thing. Get stronger. It first threw the biggest
rock in his body, which was his torso. It was a pretty long throw,
almost reaching them, but not good enough... probably. It had two
separate parts of his body, and his legs were running all over the
place. It started to look for the biggest boulders it could find.
It reassembled it's self, and was thrice as bigger than before.
It's legs were longer, so it could run way faster than a human
could. "Oh, I'm coming for you humans, just you wait."
The rock-thing threw a boulder at them, but they were high enough
that it didn't impact. The it began to 'collect' a bunch of the
rocks around it. Sylvie cursed as she saw the rock-thing get even
bigger, that was always a bad sign, right? "Eyup." Sylvie muttered
to Cutter's instructions, and began scrambling over the vines,
going as fast as she could to climb the office building. It was
easy, the vines were strong and they had rooted deep into the
stonework, she didn't have to worry about them holding her weight.
Kioiki jumped in front of Sylvie blocking her path
unintentionally.
Kioiki : can I help ?
She didn't waited for a reply and charged at the boulder guy.
"Who the hell was that?" Cutter grunted, pulling himself upwards.
He would have to wait for an answer. It seemed unlikely that the
girl would be anything of a match for the mutant, and he wasn't
exactly in the best possible tactical situation. Still, he held
onto the vines with one hand and with the other, he aimed for the
rock-thing's head. Three quick pulls of the trigger and three
bullets sailed towards their target.

Sylvie paused her climbing when Cutter asked, she didn't know the
answer to his question. "A mutant. She was following me, along with
a bigger one." Sylvie answered. "I don't have her name though."
Sylvie paused to watch the mutant fight the rock mutant. Her eyes
widened when she saw the girl could change her fingers - nails,
more accurately - to become so strong and sharp that they could cut
through stone. I don't want to mess with this girl. Sylvie
thought.
Atriox growled. There was a howl up ahead. He gestured for his
fellows to move towards it. Perhaps the trail wasn't as cold as
he'd initially thought. His pack members were hungry and though
they were not nearly as hungry as he knew they'd been in the past,
but hungry. As Chief, it was his duty to see to their every need.
Their prey would find it much harder to escape this time.

"Hey, what are you doing?" It asked angerfully. Dave took action,
and smashed the other thing that was attacking it with his fists.
It ran where the humans were climbing, and smashed the vine they
were holding on to. The vine fell. "Heh, how do you like that?" I
said as I picked one of the humans that looked like a Cutter up.
"You are going to be delicious, pesky human."
Sylvie not so gracefully broke her landing with a roll. That plan
had quickly backfired when the vines had been torn. She saw the
rock thing grab Cutter and silently move towards the rock thing. As
soon as She was close enough to aim, she fired her handgun and
watched as it hit the things fist, which didn't seem to do much
good.
Cutter growled and started shooting at the creature, to no avail.
He knew that he was dead. And, quite suddenly, Atriox, backed up by
seven hundred kilograms of muscle, slammed into the mutant, running
as fast as he could. He wasn't going to let this thing devour his
prey. Those rights were reserved for his pack members.
