After a moment of hesitation, Violet took several steps out of the
shadows of the building. She glanced around, quickly finding a way
to run if she needed to. "Hello," she said softly, her eyes
continuing to flicker about anxiously in her surroundings.
"Hi, did you just wake up somewhere and not have any idea what's
going on either?" Aroura asked. The boy had suggested she could
have been changed but she didn't feel any different. Same fighting
techniques. Same personality as far as she could tell. Maybe she
was a little faster? But she couldn't be positive.

The girl was odd looking to say the least, with silver hair, a dark
green cloak and cracked glasses. Then again who was he to judge. He
was the one with the mask. Again he felt that strange attraction.
Maybe it was some kind of tracking mekanism. He wondered if he
could somehow sneak away. He was hoping to be alone for a while so
he could check on his sister, and figure some things out. As soon
as the thought entered his head, his arm felt tingly. Glancing at
it he saw that most of it had turned into the swarm from earlier.
He let out a shout as his entire body, along with Synthia, suddenly
disasambled. After getting over the shock of being disintegrated,
he realized that he could still move. He scattered their particles,
making them reform in a building down the street. Better those two
think that he was dead, so they would leave he and Synthia
alone
Aroura couldn't believe her eyes! The boy had just killed himself
and the girl!
"Stupid!" She scolded herself. How could she have let him fooled
her into thinking the girl wasn't in danger! Looking down, she saw
a black and red mold-like cloud moving into a building just down
the street. Quickly, she pulled her blades back out and dashed into
the building just as the boy and girl reformed. Before he could
react, she pulled the girl from his arms and placed the girl behind
her.
"Nice try scumbag, but you're not hurting this girl. Taking
somewhere else won't help you! Leave her alone," Aroura said,
taking a step closer to him, she lowered her voice so it was much
more threatening, almost a growl. "Why don't you play with me
instead?"
Not giving him time to react, she lashed out, sweeping his knees
out from under him.
Ethan slowly opened his eyes. He was
looking directly up into the sky. The sun was beating down on him.
He was dazed, his head was aching. Ethan's back was against a
concrete floor. He tilted his head to side, suddenly realising that
he was on a roof of a building.
Ethan had no clue how he has gotten up there, his memory was fuzzy.
He forced himself to stand, his legs wobbled, but he finally gained
balance.
Suddenly, Ethan heard commotion from an alley down below. He peered
over the edge of roof, careful as to not be seen. He saw a black
haired female, probably around his age. She had weapons, they
looked lethal. She dashed into the building he was on, out of his
view.
So he had been wrong about this woman's intent. She was just as bad
as that man from earlier. As he hit the ground he flew apart,
reforming a few steps back. "Why can't you just leave us alone?" He
said pulling out his scythe. He had an idea. He imagined himself
covered in armor. A swarm of the things covered him from head to
toe. "Now, back away from her, or I'll have to kill you." He took a
fighting stance.
"You're not hurting this girl!" Aroura suddenly felt the ground
shake. That's when she remembered. Focusing on what she wanted, she
cast a spell, calling forth fire and was covered herself from head
to toe in fire. It didn't hurt but it would take a lot of energy to
maintain But if it meant she could protect herself and the girl
from this guy, it'd be worth it. She wouldn't let this girl suffer
like she had.
"Get back!" she shouted, making sure to keep the ground under him
unstable.
Evander was scared. Not for himself of course, but for Synthia. But
what he felt more than fear was rage. White hot fury coursed
through his veins. He let out a scream. More of the black stuff
came from everywhere, lifting him up on pillars. They where
surrounded by a swirling sphere of the stuff. "I'LL KILL YOU!!" He
yelled, preparing to send the stuff crashing down on her.
Then Synthia screamed.
The sound was tremendous, a chorus of musical notes stabbing each
other to death. They might as well have dropped a grenade. The
front of the building exploded outwards. Both fighters were through
into the street. Evander smacked his head into somthing, and
everything went black.
Synthia stood there in a pile of rubble, sobbing. She hadn't meant
to do that. She just didn't want her Evander to fight the scary
fire lady. She ran to where Evander lay. She wasn't sure where the
lady had gone, but she didn't care. She had to get help. She heard
someone walking up behind her. Turning she saw a strange man,
dressed in a tuxedo. He had clear skin, making her able to see his
bones. For some reason she wasn't scared of him. He reached out his
hand and said in a kind voice, "My name is John." She took his had,
and everything vanished
"Ugh," Aroura groaned as she sat up. She didn't know what that kid
had done, but she need to help the girl. She jumped up, looking out
for any predators lurking in the shadows. She looked down the
street and saw a man with clear skin holding his hand out to the
girl. Suddenly, they where gone. They didn't walk away, they where
just gone! She raced over noticed the boy still on the ground. She
shook his shoulder, hoping to wake him.
"Hey! If you can hear me, and really don't mean that girl harm,
wake up! She needs our help!" She shouted at him.
Violet who had inconveniently moved to the front of the building,
had been knocked to the ground. She struggled to her feey, soon
discovering she was trembling. Ugh. she thought sourly. She
looked around. She spotted Aroura and Evander, hurrying over. Okay,
she'd admit she may have been a little terrified at the
series of events. "Hi, I'm going to stick with you now," she stated
matter-of-factly to Aroura.
Evanders eyes snapped open. Aroura was shaking him, apparently
trying to rouse him. He leaped to his feet looking around at the
devastation. Did Synthia do this? "Where is she!" he said to
Aroura. "What did you do with her?"
Synthia saw that they were standing outside a big house on top of a
hill. She looked around for Evander. Not seeing him, she turned to
the man asking, "Where is Evander?" He looked at her softly and
said, "I will retrive your brother as soon as i am able. The other
girl saw me and i didnt want her to interupt the transport process.
For now I will have a servant show you to a room where you can get
some rest. You must be tired." She smiled at him. "Thank you Mr
John, I am tired" He clapped his hands and a small skeleton dog
came and showed her to a room
"Me!? You're the one who caused the explosion! Get up! We're going
after her. I can always get rid of you if you turn out to be
dangerous." Aroura told him, giving him a loom that clearly said
she thought that it was all too likely. Suddenly, a teenage girl
and guy came running over.
"Alright, but you should know, I'm going to save that little girl.
I didn't get a good vibe off of that guy." Aroura told the girl who
came over to her. She didn't trust this girl yet, but she could
tell the girl was tough. "I'm Aroura Nightshade. What's you're
name? And because everyone I've meet here so far seems to have
powers, what's yours?"
"Name's Locklear, and no i didn't cause the explosion. I'm pretty
sure that was Synthia." he glared at Aroura, a red glow emanating
from inside his mask "And I would recommend you drop the superior
aditude now, if I were you." The red glow died away. "So what
happened? Where is Synthia?"
"All I know is I woke up and looked over to see her about to shake
hands with this guy. He was wearing a suit and had translucent
skin. Then she took his had and they disappeared." Aroura told him.
He wasn't worth the comeback for the remark he had made. But that
didn't mean she would let it go. "I don't suppose you know where he
took her?"
"Well, just pointing this out but do we even know what city we're
in?" Violet said. "If we don't even know where we are right now,
that means they could quite literally be anywhere."
"No I dont know where he took her." He said, not liking what she
was implying. "And in case you still don't understand this fact,
she is my sister. For some reason you decided that me being
protective of her means I'm some kind of rapist scum, that she
needs to be protected from." Looking at Voilet,"Currently I dont
care where we are. If you find out though I would appreciate a
heads up. Now if you will excuse me... " he began to walk away.
"I'm going to go find my sister"
Aroura began to follow him. "Hey, look, I'm not good with the whole
trust thing, but I want to help Synthia. She has to be terrified
and...Well, I had some... stuff happen to me. If I can help her, I
will. Besides, you are going to need my help. you'll need someone
to distract him while you save her."
