"Hello my old friend," He told it.
"Wait! You know him?" Aroura asked, dumbfounded.
Suddenly, Terminus, Ethan, the strange girl from earlier, and Gabriel appeared. Gabriel ran forward, grabbing Aroura. He yelled at Evander and the Tall Man. "You're not going to hurt her anymore!"
"Get off of me!" Aroura yelled, trying to get out of his grasp. But she was too weak in the drug induced state the man who had stabbed Evander had left her in.

Terminus began to speak, "What do you mean that she is 'not a threat'? You saw what she brought forth. Imagine if she hadn't of been able to control it. It could have went on a rampage and killed innocent people. Threats like these, should be terminated."

Too late, the Tall Man the Locklear siblings called Slendy had picked her up and bolted. She hung on for dear life, terrified the creature was going to accidently drop her. In her state, there would be nothing she could do to stop him.
Suddenly, he stopped. Aroura was just about thrown from Slendy's back. He sat down on the ground, almost like a puppy. Aroura shakily got to her feet. Slendy whined and nudged her hand with his head.
"Umm...Nice Slendy?" Aroura told him, petting his head. They stood outside the Nox mansion. No way on earth was Aroura going in there without Evander. The only reason she stayed put and didn't run back was because she couldn't.

"I'm taking you down, virus!" Gabriel shouted at Evander. He strode forward, sword raised above his head. "This time, you will die, even if I have to do it myself!"
Gabriel struck, hoping to decapitate the boy who kept getting in his way.

Synthia hummed a tune, quite a bit faster than Slendy's song. she bobbed her head to the beat, then began
I'm not a fan of puppeteers, but I've a nagging fear, someone else is pulling at the strings. Something terrible is going down, through the entire town, wreaking anarchy and all it brings!
Crystal saw that the girl had begun to sing again. "No you don't!" She cried, throwing ice shards at her.

"Crystal!" Ethan shouted to her, "She's beginning to sing again. What should be do?!"
"Leave it to me." Crystal concentrated, and her ice shards started forming. Flying directly towards Synthia.
Ethan knew that if those shards hit, she was as good as dead. But he didn't care, Synthia was too dangerous to have around. He kept an eye on the shards, waiting for the impact.

"I'm going to make that freak of a sister you have suffer for that!" Gabriel spat. He rolled his shoulders, getting ready to strike. He feigned left, then jumped up, using his wings to keep him aloft. He kicked out at Evander, landing a hit in his gut.
"I'm tired of feeling so useless!" Aroura shouted to the heavens. "Give me something useful!"
A sharp, stabbing pain started behind her eyes. With a shout of pain, she held her head in her hands.

I can't sit idly! No I can't move at all. I curse the name, the one behind it all! Dischord!
The portal reappeared, and four figures stepped out. The first wore a strange white mask and held a massive knife. The second ones face was concealed by a long brown hood. He held a crowbar in his left hand. The thirds face was covered by large orange glasses and a bandana. Twin hatchets were attached to his belt. The last person was a pretty lady in a white jacket, but her beutey was mared by the black ooze that leaked from her eyes. They looked around confused.
Stars danced in front of Evanders eyes as he fell, almost passing out. Behind Gabriel he saw four people step out of a portal. Synthia had done it! Hopefully these four were enough.

"Oh no, Crystal. What are we going to do? Those things aren't here just to say hi. There here to stop us." Ethan was slightly panicked. He wondered if it came down to actually fighting one of those things, could he win?
Terminus and John were so caught up in their fight that they never even noticed Synthia summon the demons. "Terminus!" Crystal called out, he looked towards her, "Look!" She screamed, pointing towards the demons.
Terminus faced his brother. "Look at what she has done now, brother. Those things are dangerous, and so is she! She must be stopped."

Gabriel was so busy gloating he didn't see the man with a crowbar behind him. The man stuck Gabriel, knocking him off of Evander. Gabriel, sensing the danger of staying to fight, he took to the skies, going to help Terminus.
It felt like Aroura's head was being torn apart! She fell to the ground, curling into the fetal position.
Suddenly, she saw Evander standing over Gabriel. He was dead, his skeletal remains just as mangled as the first corpse Aroura had seen. Synthia stood next to him, an army of demons behind her. John and Terminus lay dead and dying just a few feet away. In the background, the city burned.

Synthia couldn't keep the tears of pain from rolling down her cheeks. Masky had removed the ice shard and was cleaning the wound. "Shh, don't cry sweet heart." He said softly, "I'm almost finished." He tied off the bandage he had put on. "There. All done." Synthia smiled slightly. "Now wait here. I have to go help the others, ok?" She nodded. She didn't want him to leave, but that's what she called them for.

Aroura was still trapped in the nightmare. Suddenly, she saw herself. She was rail thin and laughing manically, cheering the Locklear children on. She raised her hands and the ground shook, splitting a black hole under the city. Then everything went black. She was herself again. She had just enough time to wipe her eyes and notice the blood smeared on her hands before she passed out.

"Careful Ethan. He isn't just a guy with a knife. There's probably more to him." Crystal informed him.
"What is she even going to do if she reaches you?" Ethan questioned. Confused to what the lady in white jacket could even do.
"Not sure, Ethan. She hasn't tried anything yet. It seems the ice shards are holding her off for now."
The man with the knife came running towards Ethan. Ethan slowly moved away from Crystal for some space. The demon drew closer to him. It swung it's massive knife at him. Ethan raised his staff with both hands and managed to catch the knife, stopping it from hitting him. Suddenly, the demon raised his other hand and hit Ethan flat across the chest. Ethan was knocked backwards onto the ground. The demon stood above him, his knife raised.
It spoke, "You didn't put up much of a fight." He began to slam his knife down. Ethan concentrated. Focused on his fear. Ethan dissolved into smoke. The knife slammed into the ground.
Ethan appeared again behind the monster. The demon looked confused. This was Ethan's only chance. He gripped his staff, and drove right into the demon's back.

Gabriel watched in awe as everything organic around the man dissolved into a cloud, then dispersed. They had taken both Ethan and Crystal! He roared with rage. He would kill that maggot if it was the last thing he did.

"Locklear?" She whispered. She really hoped it was him. She was forced to close her eyes. Even the weak moonlight felt like knives in her eyes. If it wasn't Evander, she didn't know what would happen but she knew there would be precious little she could do.
