"Cally watchu doin? The path is this way!" Bellatrix called up to her friend, giggling. Calypso was a little bit of a show-off, and had a kind of tunnel vision when working hard on this, but she was very determined and loyal in the end. Bellatrix smiled as she walked up the gravelly path to the grassy ledge above Calypso's head, using her telepathy to float Riona's cot thing to the ground next to her. "Did anybody realize that I was carrying Riona the whole time with my telepathy? Cuz you guys totally left her behind!" Bellatrix called down, surprised that her friends had totally forgotten about the whole reason they were climbing the mountain. "Hey Britty, can ya help me with this? I'll hold the front and you'll hold the back, kay?" Bellatrix said as she tied the ends to the psychic cot to some fallen branches, creating handle-like things to hold onto. Bellatrix grabbed the front branch-bar and waited for Brittan to catch up.

Ateer watched as Calypso climbed the rocky part of the mountain, then turned to follow the others across the path. He noticed Bellatrix was carrying Riona by hersel then went up to her as she made a support rod. "Do you need any help with that?" He asked

"Hmm? Oh, I'm just waiting for Brittan to get up here. He's gonna hold one side while I hold the other an junk." Bellatrix said, switching to her gijinka form. Her tail twitched excitedly on the ground as she waited.

Calypso shrugged nonchalantly as Analissa's voice in her head berated her. "For someone who looked so much like Riona, you certainly don't act like her!"

"And how well did you know her to state such things?" Calypso countered as she activated her anti-gravity stars, floating herself gently down.

Analissa was silent, and Calypso was satisfied. "I really miss those obstacle courses though," Calypso said absentmindedly.

Truth be told, the obstacle courses had been Aeneas' idea, which was partly the reason she loved them. Their first kiss also had been during the middle of an obstacle course, but that was private.

Calypso let her consciousness drift and connect to her old powers once more, letting her eyes flash orange as she viewed the surroundings skeptically. She noted that the sun was already high in the sky, meaning it would be going down quite soon.

"We must not tarry," Calypso found herself reverting to her ancient tongue. "Riona must be given the blood by sunset, or...I shudder to think of the consequences. She would not be the first corrupted Binary, as far as I can gather from my successor's memories," She explained, her face darkening as she recalled Analissa's memory of a Binary getting corrupted.

Corrupted Binaries were...unstable. They would last barely a week with horrifyingly enhanced powers comparable to even the godly legendaries, then shrivel into a mere husk of their former selves. It was grimly noted that even the Binaries, born from the pure power of a god and the love of two humans, succumbed to this darkness that was befalling the worlds.

Calypso snapped out of her quaint reverie as she let Analissa's eyes return to their original amethyst color. Out of instinct, she began to hum an old tune that was alien to those who had not lived during the First Times. "And the strange creature cried, 'mew mew', as the other did, too, too, too...darkness befalling the innocent, holy Hera save our children, dear Artemis let thy brilliant moon shine, great Zeus let light rain from the heavens..."

"Got it," Brittan said as he grabbed the other end of Riona's psychic bed. It was somewhat heavy, but still surprisingly light, whether due to his strength or the properties of the psychic power, he had no idea. He raised an eyebrow at Bellatrix.

"Britty?" He asked her teasingly. "The only other person who called me by a nickname was my brother."

(Sorry for shortness, I'm getting kicked off the computer in a few minutes. >_>)

Skye collapsed as she reached where the others were. Climbing was definitely not in her top ten list of things to do once this mess with the Void Pokemon was resolved. As she sat up, she morphed into her binary form, replenishing her energy faster than in her gijinka and human form.

After a few minutes of simply watching the things around her, Skye began to concentrate on conversations. It appeared that Bellatrix had a crush on the Giratina binary... what was his name? Well, whatever the case, it probably wouldn't work out... their age difference seems a tad bit too wide.

Then Skye head the joke he made. Never mind, it might work out with a lot of fights.

Ateer opened his eyes as he felt Brittan approach. "We need to keep going guys, if we don't get to those 'trials' soon we won't make it to the peak by sunset." He was worried about Riona and the other Binaries didn't seem to be in much of a rush.

"Of course." Skye said as she stood up. Her scratches, multitudes of them, were partially healed. They were no longer bleeding, just marks on her claws. True, they were 'taking their sweet time', but she was still tired. And that was with the sky refueling her energy. Though she was very weak. With a sigh, Skye shook herself awake.

Why was she resting? Since when did she contend herself by sitting around doing nothing? She wanted to believe it was a spell... but... just to be sure...

"Ateer, can you please see if there are any spells around here?" Skye asked.

"Hey c'mon people, how come we're just standing here? Let's goooooo!" And with that, Bellatrix had taken off, dragging Brittan along with her as they carried Riona up the mountain path. Soon, they reached a marble archway in between two gigantic pines, with no way to get around the other trees surrounding it. "Hey guys! Come and look at this! I think I found the trials!"

[Misunderstanding with Queen_Kazma cleared up. She won't be posting due to school.]

Calypso easily kept up with the other two's pace, narrowing her eyes suspiciously at the archway. A feeling of foreboding hit her, alarming all her senses, human and Binary.

"I've been here before," she muttered out loud, trying to rack her memories but coming up with a blank.

"Cross into worlds unknown, through the great pines of Mount-" Calypso started to sing and faltered, amethyst eyes widening. "Doe."

In a flash her fingers were running across the one of the pine trunks. She was trying to send her senses through the trunk, attempting to figure out its origin. Something tugged at the back of her mind, but she couldn't quite figure out what it was. Staring intently at her moving hand, something set off her radar.

It was tracing a pattern not unfamiliar to her. A bending curve that represented a tree...

And the crescent moon.

Calypso yanked her arm back with a cry of shock as realization flooded her. Her sensitive Binary senses were overloaded as blurry visions hit her mentally.

"Whatever you do, don't hurt any of the wildlife!" She croaked out in pain as she stumbled back from the tree, her arm throbbing with nonexistent pain.

It was clever, she grimly acknowledged. Physical damage was hard, but durable. Mental damage, however, was a whole different story altogether. It was based on a lot of factors, almost seemingly like random. Making it a clever, strong, and unpredictable technique to take out your opponents.

"This," She panted heavily as the pain (much too slowly) ebbed away, "is Pan and Artemis' shared territory. I'll let you decide if that is a good thing or not."

She halfheartedly glared at the pine tree, her head now swimming with strange, incomprehensible images, gathered probably from the tree's own memories. Tapping into its life force using her Latias Binary sense had activated the defense mechanism, she reckoned.

"I will once you reel in your anger and use it as a tool in the trials ahead." Skye muttered as she looked at said trails. Beyond the marble archway, she could see a structure that looked like trees and reflected the moon's surface. Skye didn't doubt that the inside would be a lot bigger than the outside. "I wonder..." Skye said as she walked towards the structure. "What awaits us there?"

"I'm pretty sure you're right, Trix," Brittan said to the Mew binary. If she wanted to give him a nickname, he planned on doing the same to her. "If it's not, I don't know what else it would be." He quickly took in his surroundings, an old habit of his that he did wherever he went somewhere new. He couldn't shake off the feeling that there were other people nearby. It almost felt as if they were being watched.

"Whatever happens, I'm pretty sure we're going to find out soon," he said to Skye, who had just spoken.

"You're right about that," said a gravelly voice from within the trees. An Armaldo emerged from them. "And welcome to the Trials of Diana."

Brittan was surprised at the speaking Pokemon, and raised an eyebrow. "You can talk? He had never seen a Pokemon that could speak in a language other than its own.

"Of course I can, you twit!" The Armaldo snapped, before calming himself. "Ah, I mean, yes. I can speak Human, of course. It would be a requirement of me for being the guardian of Diana's blood. Or, more correctly, former guardian. The current guardian should be here any second now that you've finally arrived." He looked behind him, as if looking for someone.

(I'll be using different colors now for Brittan and Zaugg when they speak, to make it a bit less confusing when they're in the same post. o3o)

Minerva took a deep breath and stepped out of the trees, only to be greeted by a group of binaries. Her eyes instantly scoped out two other first gens. "No... It can't be..." she thought, staring at Bellatrix in surprise. She looked up to see Calypso, her gaze hardening into a stern glare as she locked eyes with the binary.

Bellatrix saw the guardian emerge from the trees, stunned to see that it was no other than her bestest bestie of all time, Minerva. She could hardly help herself as an ear piercing squeal pushed past her lips. "Squeeeee! Minny! You're alive!" Minerva was nearly caught off balance the mew binary as she took a running start and tackle glomped her.

"H-how? What?" Minerva mumbled in shock, trying to keep Bellatrix from denting her armor. Despite her looks, Bellatrix was easily one of the most powerful binaries of their previous team. She pulled Bellatrix off of her armor, setting her friend on the ground. "I'm guessing you're here for the blood?" She asked, looking up at the group.

(If the binaries were homestuck characters, Bellatrix would be like a mixture of nepeta and gamzee)
