You wake up in a warm, cozy bed. The blankets are soft and fluffy, and the mattress is just the right firmness. You could sleep here all day if you wanted.
Your eyes fly open. This is not your bed.
This is not your home.
The room was nostalgically familiar.
You have never seen anything like this.
There, on the table beside you, is a letter written in bwlhaictke, which read as such:

Home is a mystery RP that I have created in which your character has found themselves in a strange place only known as Home, where they are unable to leave. Beasts can be heard throughout the house, closer one second yet further the next. Nothing seems to make sense in this place, yet nothing makes NO sense.

Appearance: He has blonde, fluffy hair that’s pushed back with a red headband. The ends of his hair are dyed pink. He has blue eyes, and tanned skin. He’s relatively average height for his age. He wears a purple tank top that says “flexed and my sleeves fell off”, and gray shorts. He wears red sneakers.
Personality: He enjoys doing sports, but is passionate about astronomy. He’s one of the friendliest people that you can meet. However, he knows when to set his own boundaries.
Background information: Everest is by all accounts a normal teenage boy. He has a lot of friends, but a few close ones. He and his friends enjoy local mystery solving, as well as camping, playing soccer, cross country, and watching movies. He does well in all his classes, and is generally well liked. He has a cousin who recently started living with him.
Connection to home: Everest’s home has been his childhood home. Warm, floral gardens in the spring, bright yellows, sunflower wallpaper, it has always been a haven to him. Yet when his cousin moved in everything seemed to… change. Just a fundamental shift.

Personality:
An extreme introvert, Lui has difficulties speaking and interacting with people, often stuttering or clamming up to the point where he has resorted to learning JSL just to talk. Towards strangers, they keep a stoic and aloof disposition, their nervous inability to talk to anyone who they don't know keeping their mouth shut though it only further cements him as unapproachable. Towards those who he chooses to ally himself with, he is quite reliable. He will always follow through with anything that their allies need, with the only expectation that they return the favour. They will help those who need it but keep score with who he has aided. But generally, he is very passionate and enthusiastic when forming connections. Even when silent, Lui is still quite enthusiastic about the things that he loves. Particularly about sea angels. Please never ask them about sea angels if you value your sanity because he can and will bather all day about them. There are certainly benefits to being a marine biologist

They also have a habit of speaking without much thought, being much more direct in his words and at times a little reckless with them. While he is good at co-operating with others, he doesn't do well making actual friends. Even if he is quite lonely and years for friends, he just isn't great at making and maintaining any relationship further than allies. Perhaps his skewed moral compass also plays a part in this, their desire to survive above all else much more pressing over any social propriety

Background information:
Born into poverty, Lui didn't have much to his family's name. While he never really had a roof over their head, he was always good at forming connections in order to survive. Working with other people in the community and fighting for a chance to just live, Lui was more than a little lonely as friends became hard to come by when each person was both an ally and an enemy. While they did find one friend and managed to move into a proper house with his family, that friend soon for reasons that Lui refuses to talk about left, leaving Lui alone once again. As time moved on, Lui never did. Stuck in the past, they only really got a job at the aquarium, never completing any schooling beyond compulsory education. There had never been any reason to keep in contact with his family so after moving out, they never did and simply lived life as the lonely kid they always were.

Connection to home:
Home is, oddly enough, the back ally dumps that Lui grew up in. It is biting cold snow that threatens to freeze off your limbs, flickering lights from failing lamps, a blanket of snow that melted into useless clothes, home is squalor. But home, in some sense is an aquarium, the glass revealing a bounty of animals. Its staring and getting lost in the undulating waves and the refracting light, watching the animals floating around in their tanks.

Appearance: A teenager who seems to always wear extravagant suits with baby blue eyes on a clear pale face with brown hair falling just above their eyes. They are also accessorized with some silvery streamers that were gifted to them by one of their old friends name forgotten from a time past.
Personality: A bit of an introvert though that is not the image they will try to portray. They see themselves always on stage forced to wear the porcelain mask that makes them desirable. Even if it is uncomfortable they will try to strike up a conversation just so they don't feel alone.
Background information: Janus was a young child when his parents was killed yet he had at least one trait before they left him. The ability to act and imitate. This led to him be tossed around homes to pretend to replace the grieving parents child causing personality issues and imposter syndrome. Even when they finally set down in a house they still had a few problems with falling into some characters they pretended to be for the families. All they can remember of an old friend is some streamers that they use to perform by bending the light between the silvery material.
Connection to home: even if they never had a true home they felt a pull towards the old theater. Every night they would go on to the stage and rest there for the night even reading through left behind scripts sometimes.

Appearance: A young boy who has not yet hit puberty. Fluffy cheeks yet skinny. He has dirty blonde hair and black eyes. He is usually wearing a royal purple hoodie while wearing mustard-yellow pants, white crocs, and black socks. He has the average amount of muscles for his age throughout his whole body, and looks charming.
Personality: Extremely energetic and extroverted at all times. He’s always running and seems to never stop. Because of this he has trouble sleeping. He is also very annoying and loves to pull pranks on people. He does miss his parents though. Even though he has a pushy personality, he has his charm sometimes.
Background information: Levi is a gamer, usually focusing on fighting and horror games. He loved playing with his friends, and his parents supported him. He would often get new equipment for his gaming setup, and had very recently started streaming. But he was also not the one to stay inside all the time. Sometimes, he and his friends would meet up and maple park to play basketball or tennis. He, however, is a class clown and will do anything to get the slightest bit of attention. One thing to note though is that any movie will calm him, even if it’s the most boring thing ever.
Connection to home: His home was a small, humble little home that had space for him and his parents. He had a professional gaming room with LED lights lining the walls, very futuristic displays, and very bright white walls. The rest of his house was mostly white, furnished with grey and black. But the only thing he cared about were his room, and the living room (that’s where the TV was).
