Yes, that's also (one of) the idea(s) I had/have in mind.

It's not tooo coding-heavy; but when I do an overhaul of the privacy settings, I want to do it right. It'll be a proper overhaul.

oh hey! no worries i personally dont mind it taking a bit of time, coding takes a hot minute and i think ive seen somewhere that you said the codes rather old i wouldnt expect the code to be done right away, concerns i had aside i was really impressed with how fast the updates we got so far came out

thanks for reading through the suggestion and taking the time to improve the security here, i really appreciate it

100 % agree. As a minor, I would be very comforted knowing people like this would not be able to see my profile. While I haven't had to deal with anyone like this, knowing that no-one who is even a little bit like this cannot see my posts, or activity-- would be nice. (also is it ok if I advertise this lol)

@anonymousespeon perfectly a-ok to advertise!!! please do ^^

atm it doesnt let blocked people see your feeds nor show blocked users as last visitors (the second part im not super sure im a fan of), and theres a way to not let guests not see your feeds too but its not automatically like that and its a little out of the way: settings -> profile layout -> scroll to the bottom

while we wait for an update, some things i think would be nice to add would be something like not being able to send plushes to blocked people and vice versa, not seeing people whove blocked yous feeds on the trending or newest feeds, and an automatic removal from friendslists when you block them

a feature that hides the posts of people we block would be fantastic, i know riako said he was going to do a overhaul of the blocking system i really hope we can get an update soon on how thats going because the site could really use it and its been almost half a year since we've heard anything.

without some sort of update or insight into whats going on with that idk how else to feel than this small update we had is all were gonna get and riakos just hoping we forget about it.

libby I think ur post is moreso talking about some random drama rather than the suggestion? like wym "once you decline the people from seeing the blocker's profile, how do you not know they are talking trash or even making fun of you via feeds?" like yeah we wont know but thats not the point, the point is the current block system is not up to par - if i block someone i dont want to see their posts at all and i dont want them seeing mine or my profile either

@Iri: I’m not super active here anymore either, and I’m also glad there’s going to be an update on the block system in the future. Additionally. I hope they will implement an option like for if you want to block the person or not because there’s been many instances of people accidentally blocking someone they either wanted to friend or are friends with - also the fact that the block button is below the friend button too.

@libby i think you got off topic.. i dont think being unable to see a blocker's profile has anything in relation to whether they are talking bad about you or not. feeds/profiles are public, so its very highly unlikely that trash talking is indeed happening behind your back.

the main point of blocking someone on social media(twitter for example) is to hide your posts/profile from a specific person, and i think that ph's blocking system could improve in that direction

^^^ I totally agree with this. if I block somebody, I don't want to see their feeds/forum posts or vise versa. I personally don't even feel like it should be more complicated than that in terms of toggles or whatever, but that's just my opinion. I hope that Riako is giving this attention as our current block system is extremely flawed.
