Iteral hesitates with her answer at first, but not because she was trying to keep a secret. She just wanted to put it in as simple terms as she could. "Well, my mom is Mona Aelius, goddess of stars and Earth. But, she mingled with a mortal... and I'm the result. But other gods found out, she had to give me up and I ended up in Rome. That's... about it." She giggles a little at Moon's confusion. "Yeah, Earth's Rome."

Caspian nodded his head. He slithered to the kitchen and got some water in a glass, going back over to Mercy and Kendo. “Is he drinking again?” Caspian asked, then sighed, giving the glass of water to her.

There's plenty of wine and booze here, you drink it like it's going out of style." She shook her head and let him be. He'd probably pass out soon, anyway. "Come on, sweetie, I have brownies I made last night. How was school?"

Iteral takes her wand out and taps Moon's head, creating an air bubble for her so the wind doesn't flutter into her that hard. "Simple. Our relationship was toxic. I kept doing everything for her approval but failed, she kept only giving her favorites attention... a vicious circle. So, one night, I left with leaving a note. I had a favor from my old academy and, with the favor of my mother never finding out, I became a professor of witchcraft. Soon, Kendo joined and we got an apartment." She smiles, flying and already sensing the magic of Mercy. Taking out a weirdly-shaped metal bracelet from her purse, she puts it on. "There. This should make me invisible to her magic."

She poured lemonade into a glass and moved it over for him to have. "I'm glad you decided to stay with me. The campus isn't that far from here, and renting a dorm is more expensive. Plus, you have a lot more space and privacy here."
