A vortex of stars appeared in an empty classroom in a bustling university. Heels clacked onto the ground as a girl stepped through the portal, taking in her surroundings with an unreadable gaze. "Fascinating," she murmured, watching the small cosmos dissipate. "This doesn't look like any part of Teyvat." She made her way into the halls, scanning for clues on where the mysterious tunnel had landed her. It was strange - none of the portals had ever led her into another dimension, despite how used to the phenomenon she had become. A glance out of the window revealed a shocking sight; the people of this world all seemed...unique. Unlike the generally normal commonfolk in Teyvat, the general populace here was composed of various powerhouses. Lumine grimaced. This was about to become more irritating than she'd anticipated. Deciding it was smart to get her bearings before anything, she set out to find a place to camp.

Silver grunted as his boots thudded to the ground. He'd been getting a bad feeling about this dimension ever since it had gotten on his radar. Piercing yellow eyes scanned the horizon. It hadn't been easy to arrive here, and so he'd prepared by arriving well in advance of any impending doom (although it always seemed to sneak up on him anyhow.)

He blinked. Usually, now that he thought about it, there was some indication of who the disasters would be centered around, and he'd tail them or befriend them in order to keep an eye on things and get a read on the situation. He didn't think that would be so easy this time. Silver brightened as he spotted a man looking just as lost as he felt. Perhaps this was one of those rare occasions where he wasn't the only inter-dimensional visitor? Jogging over, he gave the man a friendly wave, brimming with curiosity as he noticed a circle on his head that shifted colors. "Eh- Hello! Sorry to bother you- I'm Silver. Do you know where this place is?"

Auspice said nothing after before sitting in a seat far from them. She just sat there, watching, like she always did to everyone, except now making herself known.

"It's not about being hungry. You seem confused... lost. I just want you to feel comfortable. Both of you." Iteral's food came first but she puts the plate in the middle. "Help yourself."

Auspice didn’t respond to Iteral. She only stared, as if she was about to attack at any moment, but she didn’t. She didn’t even look at the food. She was observing the people at the table… and their weaknesses…. Reading their body language.

Mercy just laughed and shook her head, slowing to a stop when she got back to the cottage. "We're here. Don't let that food come back up, Makoto." She joked, parking the bike and unlocking the front door. "Come on, goofs."

“That would never happen” he went inside, trying to regain some dignity

Tak.

Light as a feather, he fell from the sky, floating down on an umbrella. He closed the umbrella. It suddenly shifted into a walking cane.

"...Good to see this place hasn't changed in the least."

Caleb got out of the motorcycle. “Why do you have to go so fast, ma?” he asked her in a bit of an annoyed voice but ultimately he wasn’t mad at Mercy. He had changed his attitude in the past 12 years. At least towards her.

"You know I love the thrill, sweetie." She ruffled his hair slightly and turned back to Kendo. "Well, I got more plants, but that's pretty much it. Come on in, I'll pour you a drink of your choice, and you can tell me more stories."

"I- I'm really not hungry," Moon said again. "I'm just confused... I'm not... from here. I'm trapped in this dimension, I think. Unless another door decides to appear. But I wouldn't hold my breath..." Moon trailed off, taking another sip of apple juice.

"You wouldn't happen to know why I'm here, would you?" Her tone indicated that she didn't expect Iteral to know, but she was hopeful nonetheless.

"Not really. But not everything has an apparent reason." Iteral kept a smile during their conversation, even ignoring Auspice's analyzing glare. "How about we find out? I am sure some god or deity wants you here."

"Alright." Moon was not in a position to reject help. If she got kidnapped or worse, then that was just her luck. She still didn't trust the woman. But Moon didn't trust anyone.

"Do you just... randomly know a bunch of gods and deities?" She wondered if the 600,000 year old professor was a god. It would have kind of made sense?

This world was confusing.

Kendo followed her in, quietly. He didn't tower over her anymore, at least not as much. He'd shrunk by a foot, it seemed.

"What kind of stories would you enjoy, Mona? I don't have any particularily amusing ones, unfortunately."

"Well, my mom is the goddess of Earth and the Stars but... we have not talked in years." Iteral felt uncomfortable again. "... we don't have what you call a... healthy relationship. Hm." She points at Auspice. "Are you from another dimension too?"

"Any stories. You're presence is entertainment enough." She brought out a couple glasses and a plate of snacks, pushing them towards Makoto. "Besides, Makoto has to leave soon. He's needed back in his world for a few hours."

“I’m not going to say anything personal around these… creatures.” Auspice grumbled, putting her feet on the table and leaning back with her arms crossed, rocking herself silently.

“Yeah, If you need me, make it quick” He rolled his eyes. It was something important anyway. Oh well

Her mother was a goddess. WHAT HAD SHE SAID ABOUT COINCIDENCE IN THIS WORLD? But more importantly, Moon finally had a lead. "What's her name? And are there other deities I should know?"

She side-eyed Auspice, a little annoyed. "Am I one such repugnant... creature?"

"It's alright, sweetie. Nahida probably needs your help more." She looked through her bag to find the portal device. They had since shrunken down to coin sized devices that you flip to open, which was helpful. "Go ahead. Do you have a portal chip to get back?"

Auspice knew Moon was quite annoyed, and used the same tone of voice. “Yes. Yes you are, creature.” She hissed adjusting herself and sitting back up in her seat regularly.
