Kitty gave a snort before quickly covering her mouth. She had no idea why it was so funny, but it was. "Why are you sorry? I'm the one who wasn't paying attention." She let out a sigh as a hint of a smile crossed her face, eyes shining.
She held out her hand, her smile warm. "Let's try this again, shall we? I'm Kitty, and... I think you're kinda cute."
Realizing what she said, she felt her face heat up by several degrees, but she attempted to hold her ground. For about 1 second anyways. "But that last part isn't important; I'm just happy to meet someone."

"Me? Emo girls? Are you two...high or something?"
Jackie raised an eyebrow and narrowed her eyes harshly. Oh, hell no he did not just say what Jackie thought he said. Jackie took a deep breath to calm herself, but then spoke..
"Uhm, us high? Honey, are you high?? You've been knocked out for so long you missed out on almost this entire class, not to mention how crusty you look. Did you smoke before you got here? Babe, you look like you're on drugs. And don't get me started on how your fit looks right now. You look like a dollar-tree emo boy. And yes, you've probably been knocked out thinking about your little emo girl in your head. So, before you say something, please look in a mirror and get yourself checked. Thank youuu~!"
With that, Jackie smiled and turned back to Kaden.
"Anyways...let's continue reading the manga, this is the best part!" She smiled.

Kaden stared at Jackie, eyes wide in awe.
Then the giggles started, low and quiet, before increasing in volume as he became Kaden-kettle, wheezing audibly. His whole body shook and tears danced in his eyes.
"Emo boy~" He wheezed.
"Ohmygodithinki'mchokingjackiehelp-"
Idris Kallikrates
"...."
He spat a few Greek curses here and there before turning around, scowling.

Jackie tried to get Kaden to ease on the laughter as she laughed herself. "Kaden, you're laughing so hard I see tears!" Jackie giggled as she took a handkerchief from her bag and gently wiped his eyes.
"I know it's funny but breath, man!" Jackie smiled.
Jackie heard the small curses in the weird language that Idris spat out before he turned around, all grumpy.
"Aww, he's pissed." Jackie said playfully. She didn't really care, but she turned back to Kaden and tried to prevent him from actually choking.

Jackie grinned. "You're welcome, try to take a few breaths to help." She said.

Jackie was now wide-eyed in suprise and slightly shocked. A funeral? She wasn't expecting that.
"Oh. Wow. That's...interesting." Jackie giggled a little. Kaden was funky and silly, but she loved it!

" 'S a curse that comes with being ridiculously handsome....you can't be amazing without having a few flaws, y'know?" Kaden joked.
"So...uhhh. What dorm are you in? My memory's terrible-"
He watched Grimm curiously. "Oh damn, I guess class is starting-"

All Mei did was sit back and listen to the two laugh and ramble on, never speaking a word to involve herself again. She occasionally laughed as well, especially at the barrage of insults Jackie threw at Mr. "Emo Boy", but that was it.
The girl watched as Grimm worded her magic, an array of tendrils falling from the ceiling above each desk... Intrigued Mei to say the least. She simply stared at the ingredients, her face now a more neutral expression. Mei could honestly care less about this whole "potion" stuff, only way you could get her to care is if these said "potions" were actually some... Other substance. Walter White stuff, y'know? All she did was sigh and close her eyes again, still leaning back in her chair.

Aoi, being as socially terrible as he was, didn't know how to react to Kitty's sudden positive attitude. In all honesty, because I have made him a sad edgy boy with a ✨backstory✨, he had learned that when someone reacted in that way around him, it was not a good thing. He tensed up slightly, but tried to return the expression with a small smile as well. "...Sorry, guess you're right..." Well, he couldn't help but to feel bad about it as well for whatever reason.
"Let's try this again, shall we? I'm Kitty, and... I think you're kinda cute."
Aoi stared at the extended hand and eventually took it, his gloved hand shaking slightly. That last comment confused him quite a bit, causing him to struggle to find anything to say. "I-... Uh... I'm... Aoi, t-thanks... I guess... Happy to... Meet someone as well..." He spoke quietly.

Jackie playfully rolled her eyes. "Ridiculously handsome, you say? I guess you are quite the looker." Jackie said, then blinked in suprise. Did she just say that? "That was a compliment." Jackie cleared her throat.
"So...uhhh. What dorm are you in? My memory's terrible-"
"I'm in a dorm called Cremini with one of the late new students called Adrik. And I think you're in a dorm with my stepsister in a dorm called Death Cap." Jackie said.
"Oh damn, I guess class is starting-"
"Oh, it is." Jackie said as she turned to the teacher.

Kitty saw Aoi’s flinch but tried to ignore it, scratching her head shyly. “Sorry, I know I tend to come off a little strong sometimes.”
Dr. Grimm’s power caught her attention, and she turned to watch the demonstration. She had no idea what kind of potion they were making, that’s for sure, but she was excited to try it out. She turned to Aoi. “I know she gave everyone individual ingredients, but would you like to work together? If not, that’s totally okay.” She said hurriedly

Mei looked back over at Jackie and Kaden and grinned, chuckling a little bit as she turned her head slightly. "Oooooh, "hanging out", eh?" She giggled as she did air quotes, obviously trying to imply something.
What, she had to get payback somehow!
...Then the realization hit her that she was, in fact, dormed with the emo guy that they were also teasing about. Yeah, she was fighting a downhill battle right now. It sucked.
"Man this class is making me want to jump in a bed and sleep."
"Yuuupp, same. My dorm bed looked comfy as hell as well- Man, I'm exhausted. Just existing can be tiring sometimes."
Mei scoffed, then chuckled once again as she gestured towards Idris as well. "So, why don't you sleepy-heads do what Mr Depresso Expresso is doin', since you weirdos are so obsessed with him? Who needs a bed when you have..." She grinned and gestured towards the desk her feet were propped on. "This lovely desk!" She giggled once again before sighing, returning back to her original position. She had no clue what she was doing at this point, and boredom was overcoming her. She couldn't take a nap, as fun as that sounded, so all she could do was fake it. And... to be honest, she was completely regretting everything she was saying. Oh boy were they gonna have a field day with the BS that came out of her mouth.
...Or she could mess with the newcomer who got special treatment from the headmistress herself. She opened one of her eyes slightly to look over at Lin, a small, malicious grin creeping its way into her smile. Maybe she could have some fun, hopefully she wasn't as much of a party-pooper as Idris was.
A much larger mass began to form on the ground beneath Mei's propped up chair, and it only grew bigger and bigger as it creeped its way through the floor, completely unnoticed. It blended in with the shadows cast from the objects in the room, you'd really only see it if you were looking at it. Anyways, it made its way over to Lin, then slowly rose out of the ground behind her and used its long, thin, cold and eerie fingers to lightly crawl all over her back, then ended with a small tap on her shoulders as a face began to form in the mass. Holes began to open up to make the distinct human-like features a face had, but then they began to multiply. Eyes that bore into your soul began to divide from the original and spread all over the head, and mouths that had fangs sharp enough to slice bone somehow shone in the pitch black that made up this horrifying creature. It simply loomed over Lin as haunting laughter rang through her ears from its whispers, trying its best to at least startle her.

Aoi, even though he never liked to look at people directly in the first place, was staring directly at the floor next to his desk as he listened. "N-No you're fine, I'm just..." He sighed and closed his eyes, lowering his head slightly, and just trying to get himself together. Man, talking kind of sucked, no wonder he never did it often. "I just... Not around people much so... Kinda hard to know how to react, y'know?" He muttered, his voice still low. He took a deep breath once again and tried to raise his head a bit once again. Funny how he just now noticed the ingredients, as observant as he was.
You see, Aoi has quite the ✨backstory✨ as you might've guessed, so anything relating to concoctions and the sort kinda... Shook him, to say the least. He stared blankly at the ingredients given to him for a few seconds before blinking a bit upon hearing Kitty's proposal. "Uh... Sure, sounds... fun." He responded, albeit blankly.

Kitty scratched her right ear briefly, frowning. "Yeah... I totally get it. I'm not exactly a people person either." She looked between the ingredients, Dr. Grimm, and Aoi for a moment. "Why don't you tell me what order it was in, and i'll do all the mixing and all that? I'm not good at remembering long sequences."
Kitty started grabbing the first ingredients and adding them to the cauldron, seemingly calm and focused.

"See?"
"Hah, I know I'm tired but not "I smokes so much I'm knocked out" tired." Jackie said.
Jackie then turned to Mei.
"Oooooh, "hanging out", eh?"
Jackie simply smiled at the airquotes, knowing that Mei obviously wanted to get payback on her and Kaden. "Haha, very funny." She said.

"WAH-" She shrieked, wincing as the laughter echoed.
Lin covered her ears, trembling slightly.
She whipped around, baring her fangs at Mei. "What the hell was that for, eh?" Lin snarled.
Kaden Sorrows
"Oooooh, "hanging out", eh?"
He rolled his eyes.
"Us? Obsessed? It's called making fun. And plus weren't you and him going at it back and fourth earlier too? I guess me and Kaden aren't the only ones 'obsessed', hm?"
"I second this. Remind us of who you're dorming with, again? I'm sure you're looking forward to 'hanging out' aren't you?" Kaden said sweetly.
Idris Kallikrates
"So, why don't you sleepy-heads do what Mr Depresso Expresso is doin', since you weirdos are so obsessed with him? Who needs a bed when you have..."
He lifted his head.
Idris looked like a literal corpse.
"Can you all....just stop bringing me up for like two minutes, jeez. And stop with the 'depresso expresso', it's really not....funny-" He yawned and buried his head in his arms again.

Mei rolled her eyes at the two and groaned, obviously not liking the banter. She didn't even know why she got involved in the first place...
"Hanging out? Yup, totally... I'd have his annoying a** in a noose by morning if it wasn't... Unethical. Funny how you dumba**es are acting like I chose to be paired with a waste of space like him... Bet if that was the case, you two lovebirds would totally grovel at at the feet of Miss Elsa-Rip-off whatever her name was until she dormed you together, wouldn't you..." She grumbled, shooting them a glare momentarily before looking back at Lin. Well, not before snapping a remark at Idris. "Oh shut it, nobody wants to hear your whining."
Nobody wants to hear yours either, Mei.
Lin's surprise made Mei giggle innocently, her entire personality flipping once again, acting like nothing ever happened.
"What the hell was that for, eh?"
Mei held her hands up and did a face that seemed to mock a "shocked" expression. "OooOOooH, so scAaaAaAAAAaarryyy, shiver me timbers!" Mei laughed as Lin bared her fangs, the strange creature had already fled back into the ground. "Whaaaaat, just playin around!"
Now we return to completely ignoring the potion ingredients that Mei was probably close to knocking off of her desk by now with her laughter.

Aoi simply nodded as he looked at the ingredients as well, then watched as she started mixing things into the cauldron. He stayed silent at first, unsure of what to do, but eventually he started to do what was asked of him.

He huffed, a little annoyed. "Can...can someone help me..?" He mumbled, a little quietly. He didn't like this group of people so far, some of them seemed mean. Or just not looking for human interaction. He looked around, deciding.
Or he might just try to figure it out himself. He would probably...mess it up if he did that. Horribly.
