"And what about this big plan of yours, Mona?" Elona asked, but was stopped short when Mercy glared at her.

"It's something that will have to wait until later. Very important information has fallen into my hands, so it's up to me to resolve it. Until then, I want the children to relax and live a good life. They've dealt with enough, they deserve to be happy."

She knew Mercy would just shoot that argument out of the sky. So, she came up with another. "... means more time with your family."

Well, it was kinda like last time. And if time taught Iteral anything, then that this won't be the last one either. Slowly letting go of her embarassment and taking her documents back, she simply enjoys the peace and quiet. As well as she could, that is.

You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.

"I already have so much time with my family." Mercy looked at the girls.

"We'll stick with you for the rest of the night and go home later." Juno said, moving her mask to eat. "It's nice here. We want to spend the day with you all."

"Thank you." Mercy glanced back at Matsunaga, already asleep next to Rūkasu. She then motioned for Makoto to come closer. "I like the way we are now. Everything is good."

Suddenly, Kendo.

Bamf. Kachow. Zaping. All of the onomonotopias.

He landed neatly on the floor, stretching.

"I took a quick nap and suddenly everything's back to normal, huh? Why am I not surprised?"

He glanced over at the screen of your phone, smiling.

"I guess that's it for us, huh? Tune in next time for some more Kendo, yeah?"

Makoto moved closer to Mercy at her request. He didn’t quite care for the others. And he also didnt quite know what was going to happen in the future. But something told him to not care about that. All he cared about now was the moment.

Yeah, that was something he could do. What was past was past, and what will happen will happen.

Nothing he could do would change that.

Oh well.

Iteral kept her distance, finishing her meal. As usual, there was no place. Maybe that was a sign... a call of some kind? Eh, doesn't matter. She should really stop being all that clingy, it was getting repetitive.

She just leans back... drinks her lemonade... and looks up, into the sky. "Yeah. Guess it's better than war. But you know what they say, history repeats itself."

The ~~time~~ witch just relaxes, taking in the family time. "So let's make use of the time we have left."

Rūkasu had also fallen asleep by Matsunaga. They were both sleeping together on the grassy hill where they were all sitting.

Caspian liked being with everyone here. It was nice. He smiled as he snuggled up by Mercy.

Eclipse giggled a bit at Elona after she tilted her head to mimic what he had done. He went back closer to Mercy and laid down.

Caleb was sitting alone up in a tree nearby. He felt no need to bond with them, so he just stayed alone.

Mercy smiled warmly and closed her eyes for a moment. She thought about the letter in her mother's domain, how it was addressed from someone she had never known. But why would it be kept a secret? She wanted to find out right now, but for the sake of her children and her peace, she chose to settle down. There was a lot she could do, but she didn't have to complete it all so soon.

She'd rather enjoy everyone around her. Her family was big, and she wouldn't change them for the world.

She would focus on finding the man known as her father another time.
