Gotta go with MudKip, love the the cute look and thue fact that it starts off with two types Water and Ground , too bad I chose Grass type on accident when I started off in Pokeheroes

~[ Cyndaquil - Quilava - H-Typhlosion ]~

I was always somewhat into Pokemon, though I never played any official games before december 2023, when I started playing Legends: Arceus and chosen Cyndaquil as my starter. This line became very sentimental to me.

While I also really like Totodile and Raboot, something about this particular line really fascinates me. The combination of gen 2’s more animal-like designs compared to modern Pokemon, with the newer gens’ style while also adding the secondary type to Typhlosion worked really well.

The other Hisui starters are pretty neat too. Though, Typhlosion is the most in-between, compared to Decidueye’s drastic changes and Samurott’s different colors and… more spikes, I guess.

I also gotta mention the fact that Cyndaquil is absolutely adorable. The older Pokemon designs’ simplicity really makes them stand out near modern Pokemon. This is one of the reasons I really like Johto… Well, I like other regions too, but this is a discussion about starters, so…

My other two favorites are the Totodile line and the Scorbunny line. While I don’t like thier final evolutions that much, they’re still great Pokemon.

I hope I gave a good explanation on why do I adore this line so much… ^^
