Lin sniggered at the scene, watching with eager eyes in the corner. A mischievous look brightened her porcelain face as an idea popped into her head. She closed her eyes and opened her hands, placing them gently on the floor. Cracks sprouted out of nowhere, and small tendrils of ivy snaked out of them. They slithered across the floor, making their way to the loud scene between Haruto and Tunla. Slowly, the leafy ropes wrapped themselves around Haruto's wrists and ankles, immobilizing him. Hopefully.

Lin let out another little snigger and sent more waves of ivy at the two. Being a Werewolf means I have some control of nature she thought to herself. This will come in handy. Lin closed her palms, and the ivy sat put. She turned away from it, pretending that she had know idea it was there, and that she wasn't the one who did it.

Tunla just stared at Haruto for the duration of his speech. Pretty much everything that he thought would intimidate her would just... enter one ear and go out the other. It's less that she wasn't afraid... but more too thick-headed to even acknowledge that she was actually being threatened. All that she responded with was the following:
"At least I just need to control my powers... you need to control your powers and your temper! So I'm better than you already!"
With that, she giggled and her magnetism stopped, though the electric field was still active, giving the cutlery in Haruto's back a shocking side effect. "Now that you're all stunned and tangled up... ehehe... I guess I'm the victress?" Tunla just sticked her tongue out, smiling with a completely obliviousness of the current situation.

Haruto had been caught off guard as vines snaked up his ankles and lashed around his wrists, sprouting from the cracks in the ground. Naive He berated himself, tugging his left wrist out of the vines only for them to be recaptured, the ivy wrapping around him firmly. Of course there would be others. You were too focused on one target that you forgot to account for other threats. And now Haruto was paying for his foolishness as he fruitlessly clawed at his bindings. Theoretically, and this was very theoretical mind you, Haruto could very easily free himself. After all, vegetation would easily give way under the bite of a blade but any metal cutlery was made of cheap metals and Haruto wasn't all too keen on warping one of his rings just to get out of plants. Instead, he settled for barring his teeth and snarling, slender arms flexing in frustration (like some kind of feral dog. Mother would be disappointed).

"Unlike some present, I need not control my powers. I am only here to expand on them." He ground out, completely ignoring the part about his temper and settling for a half truth. "Whoever summoned these Ivy I suspect is similar to me in that regard. Strong, obedient, quick to grow, effective. Not bad all things considered." There was a secondary tug as if to prove his point. Granted, he didn't appear to look very strong so whether or not was anyone's guess. "But if you insist on having such a shallow victory I do not mind conceding such a meaningless point. Congratulations ma'am, you have defeated the raging beast. What an accomplishment."

Tunla just blinks, tilting her head and then pointing down at the blade. "Fancy vocabulary but... no understanding of physics. Let me guess, you got hit by a dictionary as a kid." She gave a little cackle and her electric field dies down a bit, as her cackle now is accompanied by sparks around her face. "Or maybe you are trying to sound big... to compensate for something?~" Her cackle turns into a high-pitched giggle, as she hides her mouth behind her hands.

Oh that hit a nerve. Anyone watching could see how the blood drained out of Haruto's face, his hands trembling in barely restrained anger as his already harsh glare turned frosty. But the hilarious point was that Tunla wasn't quite wrong in her assessment. Granted getting hit on the head with a dictionary was a kid was an accident. His sister had been adventurous when she was a baby and knocked over the whole shelf so he had been brained by more than just a dictionary. But that wasn't a point of shame for him, he would never find shame in protecting his baby sister from danger even if they were falling tomes, it was the other jab that had struck his heart. That he was overcompensating for something. He felt sparks of anger at that insinuation. So what if there wasn't anything between his legs that screamed Male, that didn't make him any less of a man. Rationally, he knew that there was no way that Tunla meant it in any truly malicious way, just another jab to rile him up, but logic rarely held any sway when emotions were running hot.

It was almost laughably easy to cut himself free, Osmium flashing under the florescent lights as Haruto clenched the now ruined ring turned dagger in a trembling hand. "You watch your mouth. I am more of a man than anyone and I'll make you all acknowledge that! What's in my pants doesn't determine that." He spat, voice sounding almost like it could crack and give out at any moment, mirroring his own internal turmoil. Truly, words cut deeper than any blade could. "At least I have a point to prove. You're just floating around aimlessly, wasting the chances you're getting. You'll never get far in life if all you do is stand in place."

The commotion had, obviously, not gone unnoticed. In fact, since the very catalyst that began the tussle had leapt into the sky like a burning rocket, a specific pair of mismatched pals had instantly stopped eating, swallowing their chewed food and dropping whatever else they had. Standing up as the situation escalated, Valleri now carefully approached the enraged duo, her small stature doing nothing to help her cause. "You two... Let's be a little humane now... It's the first day here, we're all stressed and excited, I know we're all going through a new experience, so let's just calm down now..." Her voice was terribly quiet in the ruckus, a wavering and sweet tone that seemed to radiate 'peacekeeper.' She walked forward very slowly, as if approaching a trapped animal, minding her step so as not to pierce her fragile feet on a stray sharp object, such as a butter knife or fork. Her hands were out to the sides in a fashion only comparable to, once more, approaching a trapped or frightened animal. Speaking of frightened animals...

Raye had courageously stayed behind, crawling inside Valleri's bag and hiding from the terrifying display. He may have been a large and hefty raccoon, but the albino was all for running away.

Tunla just danced a little on the spot, smiling innocently and her hair sparking again. "I'm enjoying life. Are you?" Her gaze turned to Valleri, who she gave a nice wave before turning back to the threatening Haruto, still with zero signs of dread or fear on her face. "There's an old saying from my home... if you have to point it out, there's truth in the opposite." With that, she stuck her tongue out again sideways and just smiled at Haruto, her sparks increasing in amount and intensity.

Currently? No, Haruto was not enjoying life, thank you very much. Not with an annoying wasp that incessantly buzzed around his head, sending sparks flying. And not in the way his sister's veritable library of literature described it. (His sister would have a field day if she ever heard of this. Note to self: never tell her). With the addition of the girl who thought she could be a peacemaker, ridiculous, Haruto could only feel his blood pressure rising to frankly worrying levels. He should have taken his own advice and memorized the way to the nurse's office beforehand. Oh how dearly he wished to unsheathe his sword and run Tunla through but had to close his eyes and sigh from his nose in an effort to shove down the mental middle finger he oh so dearly withed to stick up. But he was raised better even if rage was a second skin, frothing and begging to be itched. "I fail to see the point. Such things are only decided by yourself and my answer to such a question does not pertain to you. Whether or not they are true or not is something that does not involve you. Focus on your horrendous control over your powers and perhaps my answer will change." The words were bitten out, self restraint the only leash tugging Haruto back from doing something stupid.

There was a snuffing whine at his feet that drew Haruto's attention away, however, as a wet nose nudged against his hand. Callused paw pads batted against his thigh as Willow nosed his hand, the very one that was gripping the makeshift dagger. With a jolt, Haruto realized that his grip on the crude weapon was tight enough to dig jagged cuts into his fingers, spots of blood beading up along the broken edges. Ah. So even such a leash wasn't tight enough to keep him from doing something stupid to himself

Tunla looked down at Haruto's hand and then rummaged through her own hair, as if she was looking for something. "I got no control of my electricity, but perhaps my annoyance is my real weapon!" She laughed before pulling out a few cable ties, some bandages and a bit of cooling gel. "If you want I can patch you up, I got all I need in here." She gave a stuperb smile and already was reaching out to Haruto's injured hand.

Lin's curiosity got the better of her, and she walked up to the scene. "Oh, um, sir? You've got...a bit of ivy wrapped around you..." She said to Haruto, stifling a laugh. Her green eyes flickered to the people near her, and Lin studied them closely. A loud growl behind the girl startled Lin for a second, but then she chortled. A giant silver-furred wolf nuzzled her affectionately, a gold circle on its forehead shining. The wolf howled at the other people near it, baring ivory teeth. "Sye...be a good wolf now. Shhh..." Lin whispered to it. Petting it with one hand, she clenched her other, sprouting more ivy out of the floor. A small smile played on her lips.

"No thank you." came the very cold and snappy answer, steel eyes giving the supplies a wary glance. "Do Not make things worse than they already are. Perhaps if you trained your tongue as well as you trained you abilities you would go further in life." With that sneer, he brushed off the last of the torn off vegetation. "And you," This was directed at Lin, the same eyes giving a cursory once over but seeming much more kind than what was given to Tunla. "Your skills are formidable if it is to be assumed that you are the one who summed these Ivy. Sharp too. Perceived a threat, neutralized it, protected yourself. Smart. You'd survive just fine." The nod seemed curt and hurried, as if it was a reluctant complement, yet it was as genuine as Haruto would ever get. With that socializing out of the way, Haruto clicked his tongue and began to walk out. Surprisingly though, Willow did not obediently follow, instead her heavy paws landed on Haruto's shoulders, attempting to full him down. It was quite odd to see a loyal hunting dog going out of her way to pull her master back.

Tunla leans over to Lin and whispers. "He's too stubborn to accept help... can you immobilize him with vines? I only need five seconds..." She whispers, then moving behind Haruto in strange ghost-like patterns, constantly changing poses and kinds of walking while getting closer.

Lin smiled. "Sure. Plus,I think he think that the ivy is my actual power. But it's not. The ivy is just...an extra gift." She whispered back. Lin closed her eyes and summoned more ivy, her eyes glowing green with the power. She let out a quiet laugh as it wrapped itself around Haruto again, and studied his hunting-dog closely. She loved dogs, she's always wanted one, but, when Lin bonded to her daemon wolf, Sye, she was more than happy.

At first the Ivy did little to hinder Haruto, Willow being more of a nuisance with her claws digging into his shoulders. But with the two combined, the brute was no match and a firm yank from his loyal hound sent the boy tumbling onto the ground. That seemed to satisfy Willow as she very smugly sat in Haruto's lap, short tail thumping against his thigh as she observed Lin with a knowledgeable glint in her eyes. The vines stretched and broke as Haruto attempted to push away the vines, breathing coming out in harried shallow gasps, blunt nails clawing dark red lines along his arms. "Off off off" He hissed, even as his hands were firmly batted away by Willow, the dog's insistence on compliance almost annoying as Haruto struggled fruitlessly to get out of his bindings. Certainly there were others ways of breaking free (eg his sword. that he always carried by his side. very ostentatious you really can't forget about it) but logic so rarely came into play when terror and ghosts latched onto the mind. Either way, Haruto was obviously not using any part of his brain when he continued to fruitlessly break himself free, not at all aided by the lapfull of Dog and quite powerful Ivy.

"Then I do what I love to do. Doing the opposite!" While her electric powers wasn't fully under her control, Tunla had remarkable control over her body, which includes contorting and bending arms and spine, as she got into a strange and almost inhuman stance, before bandaging Haruto against his will, putting bandages with cooling gel on the wounds and then using cable ties to keep them in place, while also being an attempt of disabling his ability to grab the sword. "This should do it!"

(That's unironically how I bandage myself and... cable ties are really movement-inhibiting.)

There was a level of humor that Haruto was spitting and hissing like a bedraggled cat that had been unceremoniously dunked into a bath. There was a bit of begrudging respect at Tunla's flexibility as she maneuvered around the limitations, grip firm and methodical despite Haruto's own attempts at getting in the way. But first, it required prying Haruto's hand open to even get to the wound. The boy certainly didn't make it easy, metal digging deeper into his palm as he fought against prying fingers. In the end it was Willow who coaxed her owner to let go, gentle whines and consistent pressure relaxing his grip until the makeshift weapon clattered onto the ground. Haruto didn't so much as flinch or make any outward gesture when the stinging gel was slathered over his palm, the perhaps much too tight bindings being pulled into place only garnering an experimental flex of his hand. His gaze seemed slightly vacant but the scowl was still firmly in place as he made it quite clear that Tunla's aid was unwelcome.

"Thank you." He grit out once she moved away, vitriol rolling off each word though it wasn't disingenuous. "Now that you've finished making a mockery of me, leave me alone." He could almost feel the stares of the other students that made his skin crawl. This was never his intention to incite an event that escalated to this point. But in the end, it really was his fault for picking a fight in the first place. If he had just let the incident with the shield go, he wouldn't be in this position. Of course it was after everything was said and done that Haruto reflected that his actions might not have been the best, but he didn't quite regret snapping at this nosy annoyance. She did have talent for something more, that much was true, and it was always exciting to see other powerful people and test himself against them. Just... not is such a public setting. Defeat was a natural part of warfare and it would happen to anyone, but the shame that came from a public humiliation... that was another issue all together.

"If you wanna be friends, just say so!" Tunla yelled, giggling again and waving at Haruto. She was glad that she could mend his injury, even if she also was the reason that it happened. But that didn't matter really... all she needed to know is that her first encounter in the school wasn't for nothing. Suddenly turning to Lin, she waved and her hair once again sparked with curiosity. "You got vines as powers? That's really cool! You wanna be friends?!"

Lin smiled a little. "Sure! Also, vines aren't my powers, it's just a little...trick that I learnt. I like to keep my actual power secret...it's very chaotic. And maybe dangerous..." she laughed. She clenched her pale fist and the vines disappeared. "So, what's your name? I see you have the power of electricty...it suits your personality well." Lin laughed again, petting her wolf, Sye. It growled happily, wagging its tail. Sye was like an big, overgrown dog really.

"Tunla! Nice to meet you!" The electric girl giggled and rubbed her cheek on Lin's, giving her a short zap before looking at Sye, snickering. "Who's a fluffball with the need of a hug? Is it you?~" Tunla snickered, crouching and ready to leap at the dog for a snuggle.

With a huff, Haruto swept out of the room, wrist doing a subtle flick as if he was used to having a coat to help make dramatic exits. Of course, considering that he was wearing athletic clothes, it just looked kind of silly to those who noticed. Willow hesitated, trotting up to Tunla and Lin with a grateful bark before turning tail to scamper after her owner. The loyal hound caught up with him as Haruto was storming through the hallway, skin clammy with sweat. "I'm fine." He grit out, ignoring the heavy stare that Willow gave him. What did a dog know anyways. He Was Fine. Perfectly Fine. Nothing Wrong At All.

Okay perhaps he wasn't okay okay but he would be. He would be soon enough. He had to be.
