Floria's heartbeat grew quicker as she realized that if the light had turned off, something must have happened. She strained her ears for any more words from the kind Pokemon, but she heard nothing except shallow breathing and quiet sobs from other Pokemon. Panic threatened to take hold of her mind. With a quick shake of her head, she flicked her ears, her hoofs becoming slightly damp due to the leak. Her anxiety told her to assume to worst, but she knew this Pokemon must be stronger than she seems. Still, she wished to go help her, she wished to get out, she wished to let all these poor Pokemon leave safely and go back to living their happy little lives.
With a quiet, sad little huff, Floria gazed off into the darkness. The light had dimmed to no more than a faint glow, and her eyes strained to get used to the sudden change in lighting. Her ears picked up a multitude of sounds- cries, frustrated growls, hisses and clangs ringing out, coming from Pokemon desperate to escape. Floria shared their discomfort, their unhappiness, their desperation, but she knew better than to strike out in a feeble attempt to escape. Nothing good would come of it.
With a sigh, she shifted her body, grateful to the release of pain in her leg, and fell asleep, exhausted from worrying, allowing her mind to succumb to the doubts and anxieties that swirled just beyond reach, trying to swallow her whole.
That sleep, she had a nightmare.
Her strength came back to her, buzzing in her veins. She swiped at the bars and it bent slightly. She smiled. As she sat there, she thought of a plan to get out, to get back to her homeland. The other Pokemon had helped her sure, but all she wanted to do was get away from society, and live on her own again. She would help them, and fight for them, but she isn't tame and won't stay in the same place forever.
Ribbon flicked his ears as light inconsistently shown throughout the cages. Most of the crying had settled down now, which he was glad for, but he could tell most of them were still awake. He gave a quiet sigh. None of this was supposed to happen, but it did and he couldn't do anything about it. He could only sit here and mope. The others were communicating with each other, scheming to get out, and he had almost scoffed. There was no use. They would be torn apart from their friends eventually, they would be caught, they would be tortured again. He curled up, wrapping his fluffy tail around himself, and closed his eyes. Part of him said that if he willingly went Insane, he would have the power to break free, but he would never be able to get himself back in control and would likely kill the rest of the Pokemon in the process, so he vetoed that idea immediately. It still popped back into his mind though, quietly pestering about the things he could do. The things he could have done...

Ribbon was awoken by the sound of a voice. Twitching his ears, he moved his head up and looked out, seeing a shiny Eevee speaking up. He didn’t feel enthusiastic about escaping, especially since he had lost all hope a long while ago, but he was willing to try. He stood up and stretched, flicking his tail behind him. Just then, the shiny Eevee glowed with light for a split-second and evolved into a Sylveon. Ribbon was shocked and confused, but he didn’t say anything. This place was messed up, so he shouldn’t really be surprised, but still...
He shook his head. This might be their only chance of escaping. He’s got to give it a shot.
Smiling, Margo slowly exited her cage, ran over to another cage, only to realize this one had a lock that required a key. of course, she thought angrily, realizing that it was an aipom inside. She growled loudly, shimmering as if she was evolving again. When the brief light vanished she was an Eevee again!
Without waiting another second, Margo shimmered a third time, evolving now into an espeon. Her red orb glowed menacingly, and she fired its energy at the lock, which quivered and almost broke but not quite.
Being an espeon, she had a shorter temper than when she was an Eevee, so she got angry at the lock. She shimmered, but she stayed shimmering for a bit longer, and when the blinding light faded, what stood before them seemed impossible. it was an espeon, but as if it had mega evolved!
The only weird thing was that it had a small X on its ear as if it had been inked in.
Margo crouched, and suddenly a huge red blast of energy silently flared out from her, passing through all the cages and dropping the locks to the floor. Then she swayed, shimmered twice, and fell to the ground, only half awake. All the doors had been unlocked that had locks, but the sliding locked doors had not, including Floria, Ribbon, and Linii.
Without bothering to wait for a reply, she dashed through the cages and reached the locked one.
Ribbon watched as all the Pokémon were freed. Just his luck that his was one of the only ones that didn’t open. He gave a low rumble in his chest, but didn’t complain. Not like it was that important anyways. He heard the other Pokémon breaking out themselves, and he sighed. Resting his head on his paws, he closed his eyes.
He was startled awake by a gentle but firm voice outside his cage.
“Hello?”
Immediately on guard, Ribbon growled in response. He got no answer, but whoever had asked seemed to be satisfied. Just then, there was a blast of heat, (not bothering Ribbon as he’s a fire-type), and the door slid open. Standing outside of it was a strange-looking autumn deerling with a greyed flower. How... did this deerling make that heat blast? I thought Deerling were only normal/grass? Ribbon wondered. But he pushed those questions away for a different time. Standing up, he shook out his fur and stepped out of the cage he had been rotting away in for so long. The rest of the Pokémon had already come out of their cages and were all waiting around anxiously for their next instruction.
Ribbon watched as the deerling bounded away into the midst of the Pokémon. He twitched his ears, picking up on multiple different groups of Pokémon muttering in hushed tones. His large ears were well attuned for picking up smaller or fainter sounds, unfortunately that meant that louder sounds hurt his ears much more than normal. He lifted up a paw and scratched his ear, the little chip that Team Rocket had attached in order to keep the Virus at bay bothering him. He growled softly and sat down, awaiting the next step in this glorious plan. They’ve all gotten out of the cages, sure. Now what?
Ribbon listened as the Luxray talked to them. He couldn’t muster up much energy to care, especially since Team Rocket must already be onto what they’re doing, but he was still willing to try. He tried to pay as much attention to whoever was speaking as possible, but he felt his mind wandering. What was he gonna do when he got out? He couldn’t go back to his family, that ship sailed a long time ago. He didn’t want to go back to living alone. Maybe... maybe he could make friends here. He shook his head, snapping himself out of his mind. He told himself that was ridiculous. Don’t give yourself false hope! he scolded himself. They’re only going to betray you again.
With a sigh, he closed his eyes, but he kept his ears perked in order to hear further conversation. Maybe this thing really was going to work...
