Juzi walked back to the castle with Ezria trailing behind her.
Thinking that she should go back for some quiet time, she headed
towards the direction of the castle dorms.
Arriving at the lake, Elliot looked around. "Oh...there's people
here..." he muttered. Walking through the trees to an empty
spot beside the lake and sat down, hoping no one could spot him. He
scooped up some water from his hands and splashed it onto his face,
cooling down.

am." - Oreki Houtarou
It was almost as if the duo had known where they were. A bow was
presented, it was only fair to return it. Kynik stood at last,
giving back the bow of greeting in exchange. He held his plaything
to his chest where his right hand landed over his heart in proper
form. "Salutations to you as well. No intrusions have been made,
we are out in public after all. My companion here and I were just
making discussion of various things. Mostly pets and today's
ongoings."
Thalia got up, before two fingers on her left chest and gracefully
bending to one knee. She got up, holding the grass braid in her
hand, then skillfully and deftly turned it into a bracelet. “Good
day to you, Samton, Tien. I suppose you might have heard snippets
of our conversation? I do not mind, as if this was a private
conversation we would have moved somewhere else. I suppose as a
prince, mage or a knight, you would help others? It appears that
our friend requires some assistance with something” she comments,
gesturing for Mira to join them. “So. What brings you here, that
you should honor us with your presence?”
Mira stepped closer after being invited, “I was just looking for
the dorms, could you point me in that direction?” Mira asked while
looking up from her map. “Ah that was rude of me, let me introduce
myself. I’m Mira, I’m a commoner who is here to study as a mage”
she lied as she greeted them. She tried to remember to use manners
here, as it’s full of nobles and royalty.
Juzi walked up beside Mira and spoke. "Mira, your name
right?" She said, staring into her face. "Pleased to make
your acquaintance." She leaned over and bowed, looking at the
marking on her face and added, "Our family was acquainted with
yours." Ezria slowly trotted up to sniffed the hem of her dress
and hissed, backing away. "Apologies for Ezria being a bit rude,
she likes to make sure strangers are safe."
Elliot looked up from the lake at the commotion taking place a few
meters infront of him. He hid behind a tree and listened to the
people speak.

Kynik gave a small wave as Mira stepped closer upon Thalia's
invitation. Perhaps there was a shyness that prevented her from
coming up as the rest did? "The dorms?" He peered out over
the lake from his position. "The dorm position isn't too far
off. It's easy to follow the lake's edge for navigation."
Luckily the group was on the southern side of the wyst river's
opening so the walk wouldn't be nearly as far.
"Since you are a mage, you'll want those brown buildings over
there. The buildings with the blue rooves are used by the knight's
course students." He hadn't even bothered waiting for the map
to be pulled out, pointing blatantly at the barracks in the
distance. "A bit late for the day though, we already managed to
have our classes canceled for a second time." The non pointing
hand waves nonchalantly as he spoke.
Mira followed Kynik’s hand as he pointed towards the dorms, “I see,
thank you very much” she said while she eyed the buildings up and
down. Her expression had not changed, but she was feeling happy
because the dorms looked very welcoming. She snapped out of
daydreaming when Kynik asked her a question, “Ah yes, my travels
were delayed on the way here. So I wasn’t able to arrive on time or
for orientation” she sighed.
"I'm glad you do not mind. Miss Mira,
might I suggest you meet Prof Angler? His room is attached to the
Mages' dorm, and it would be best to inform someone." Samton
gave a light nod. "My name is Samton
Goldenbach. I'm pleased to make your acquaintance. I also happen to
be a mage." Saying this, Samton held out his hand in
greeting.
"I am Tien Sebas. I happen to be a knight.
A pleasure." Tien nodded in greeting at the newly introduced
student.
Mira bowed and then shook Samton’s hand, “I look forward to working
with you all this year. I’m honored to be working with someone or
the Goldenbach name” she said while pulling her hand back.
Klause waves goodbye to the nurses in the infirmary as he leaves,
he had been lucky and found a place where he could also study
medicine. These last two days he had managed to accidentally skip
class because he slept too late. He was informed by a teacher that
next time that happened he would face punishment. Klause watched
the water as he walked away from the infirmary, his shoes making an
awkward clank on the wooden walkway.
Therese still kept some distance, returning to sign language as she
sweats nervously. "How... can you shut off being shy?" She asked,
before looking aside, grabbing the bass and removing the flower,
putting the instrument back and the flower onto the little bit of
soil at her windowsill.

“So, before we were so politely interrupted by that nice, royalty
girl back there…what did you come to see us for, Samton, Tien?”
Thalia asks “I don’t suppose you came here simply for a chat? Is
this matter important? Then we shouldn’t discuss this in the open,
it’s very easy to be eavesdropped on.” Thalia states, thinking.
Mira, Mira, Mira. What an interesting girl you are
"Miss Feyrer, it is not very nice to
refer to her as royalty. And about what we're here to discuss, it
is nothing secret. It is only about circles. I am not sure if you
are aware, but circles centered around co-curricular activities
form in each batch. We are expected the same. Since there are some
slight issues, the couple of days following will be without any
lectures. It has been instructed that we consider the circles
within this time."
Samton was smiling throughout. Whether it was but a poker face or
if he was truly smiling, only he knew. "More information, miss Feyrer, will be
given once the class assembles in the afternoon." Tien
added.
Kynik waves a hand in front of his face. "Of course. Travel
plans don't always go to according to said plans. As long as you've
arrived as your destination safe I'm sure they'll understand."
He chuckled having ignored the sub-comments of the girls. This
wasn't really the place for this, the students here weren't really
supposed to use their family name for gains or disadvantages
against one another. While they were students here they were all on
equal grounds and their gains would be proven through
accomplishment, not the other way around.
"I am Kynik Kuffer by the way but feel free to drop the surname.
I prefer to go by just Kynik." He glanced over to Samton who
had given his original talking partner a very brief scolding before
getting on to the actual topic at hand. "Social circles are
things that form naturally correct? So the classes themselves are
being canceled for the next couple days?" He'd voice his
concern, something serious must have happened if the school would
drop courses in favor of allowing students to co-mingle without
distraction this early in the year.
He would admit though, his social circle at home wasn't formed this
way. He and his sister had essentially been tossed at the
Margrave's children as play partners as soon as they were old
enough to walk on their own. It wasn't even so much as a circle as
a temporary partnership as it eventually led to being pushed out
when higher tiered noble children in the nearby city started coming
for play and they started focusing on building bonds to climb the
social ladder. He had even been referred to down-troddenly as a
'knight's son' rather than his father's actual position when
spitting remarks had been made.
He knew his social worth, he just preferred to ignore it and try
his best in the fields he was familiar with.
"The bonding of circles during this time is being encouraged
because they generally work together better than strangers, no? Are
the students to be left completely to their own devices or will the
available extra curriculars be announced later?"
"I hope it does... until then..." Therese smiled, filling some soil
into a little bag and handing it to Luna. "You can have this. A
special soil from a faraway country. Careful, it's always
electrified... so watch out." She smiled a little, as the flower
behind her emitted a little less charge, as Therese' hair went down
a bit.

Mira had headed away from the group and towards the direction of
the dorms, specifically the magic field. She was interested in
testing the training grounds, since she would spend a good amount
of time there while she was here. She expected just a plain field
but was surprised when she walked through a thick layer of
vegetation. She rubbed her hand along the vegetation while entering
the magic field. It felt welcoming, but also dangerous.
Klause had made it a ways away from the infirmary and was closer to
the group. Walking by the edge of the water, he noticed a duck
laying in a shrub. He approached it carefully and discovered it had
a broken wing. “It’ll be okay, let me see that” he whispered while
slowly inching closer to the duck.
Thalia simply laughs it off, giggling girlishly. “Ah don’t worry
about it. Your country has been on recently good terms. I wouldn’t
dream of judging her based on royalty though. She’s nice,
probably unlike some of the people there. Oh but of course,
equality and fairness are prime morals of this institution.”
Thalia’s voice carries a chirpy tone to it, full of sunshine and
happiness that was most unlike her. She whistles for Midnight, who
almost immediately appears at her side. Taking a large chunk of
raw, still dripping with blood meat out, from seemingly nowhere,
she hands it to Midnight, who growls her thanks and tucks in.
Thalia washes her hands in the lake, pulling a small bar of soap
out of her dress pocket, scrubbing any raw smell of meat off,
before sanitizing her hands and joining the others. “Circles? Well
they sound nice to say in the least, but I can’t interact too much,
I have other….things to attend to. Not that you need to know of,
that is. It’s mostly harmless.”
Klause gingerly approached the injured bird and picked it up,
making sure not to touch the wing. Stepping away from the bush and
sitting down near the edge of the lake, he put the bird down close
to him. Taking a deep breath, he cast a simple healing spell, then
amplified it with his self magic. A bubble of water appeared and
floated towards the bird, slowly it sank into the wing and a dim
green light illuminated the wing. Small pops could be heard as the
bones sealed back together and cuts on the wing were healed. Klause
took a breath of relief as the bird happily flew away. He was lucky
the wing was only fractured, or else that would have taken a lot of
energy away from him.
"While social circles do form naturally,
these are more so meant to facilitate the formation of those. It is
not uncommon to see members switch circles rather frequently during
the first year, either, as far as I'm aware." Samton
answered Kynik. "Usually it is centered
around an activity, but in some cases there can be multiple of the
same formed under different titles. I believe the activities can be
selected by the students after which they'd meet with others who
chose the same activity. Whether they stay or split is a different
matter."
Taking a deep breath, Samton smiled once again. "And in regards to the prior concern, unfortunately,
it appears classes are being canceled for the next couple of days
indeed."
"Thank you."Luna signed. She took the bag and looked at it. "This
is pretty cool!" She put it in her pocket and smiled. "I hope you
suceed in your mission."
