Tainted Souls, a Legendary Battle for Freedom

Sign ups

Plot
Driven mad by rage, a certain evil leader swore vengeance on a group of menaces that caused his life's work to be wasted within minutes. His team disbanded, himself humiliated...he vanished off the face of the planet for a considerable amount of time after that. The menaces? Trainers. A group of determined ten-year-olds that swore to destroy everything this man had worked toward. Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket. Team Rainbow Rocket now. And He plans on serving his vengeance on these 'heroic' gnats.

You see, in the time of his disappearance, Pokémon started to go missing, wild or otherwise. Trainers and law enforcement couldn't seem to track them down.

Some of these Pokémon were very special, however. Legendary, even. Before long, every single one was missing.

Where did they go? They were recruited into Giovanni's secret, corrupted army. They were taken prisoner, and turned into weapons for his revenge. And what's the best way to make a weapon? Remove any and all freedom, all soul from it. These creatures received painful and harsh punishments for any mistake, any disobedience, any resistance. They were not allowed to be numb to the pain, however, for each individual chastise was different, growing more unbearable for each consecutive offense, until they knew nothing but respect, fear, and loyalty to their dark master. They were then sucked of all emotion, all memory of who they once were, and turned into the lifeless husks known as Shadow Pokémon.

The good news, though? The Hope for freedom? For a light at the end of the darkness? The Legendary Pokémon. While unfortunately some legendaries were unable to resist Team Rainbow Rocket's power, The Legendary Pokémon are stronger than the rest. In spirit. Their souls can take so much...but not much more. The remaining legendary Pokémon, left imprisoned, and clinging onto hope, and their dwindling souls, have a goal to escape...before it's too late, and stop Giovanni, whatever his plans are. The Legendaries have been forced into weaker forms by Giovanni's goons, human forms. Gjinkas, and while they may be less powerful in this form, they may be the last hope for the shadow Pokemon

Can they pull this dangerous endeavor off? Is it possible to salvage their fellows' souls from the void? It's up to them to find out.

You are now in a cell at the base. A flaw in one of the cells was discovered. This is your chance!

It hadn't taken long for Luxtra to fall prey to the psychological damage that the punishments had caused. Some may call it weakness, but in Luxtra's corrupted mind, it was seeing the light. Her hand tightened around the handle of her sword, her fingers unfurling and furling. She stared straight ahead, her red, inhuman eyes empty of all emotion. She was perfectly aware of her surroundings, but her mind was darkened by a shadow. She registered the movements of those around her, just waiting for one of them to make a move. The shadow seemed to have made her paranoid, but the paranoia gave her a power that none of those who resisted Giovanni had. She did not view herself as more powerful than Giovanni, Luxtra just knew that he was a human different than the others. It was useless to resist. But if they were to try and escape, Luxtra knew that she would do the smart thing. If anything, Luxtra was smart.

Scarlett had been observing her cell for a long time, tracing the cracks and gaps on the harsh walls. She memorised them, picturing the map in her mind, making sure not to miss out a single detail. She would escape, of course she would. Scarlett could probably say she was the smartest out of all of them, in a sense— She knew others could escape too, but what made her different from others, was that she was extremely street smart. She highly doubted the others would survive once escaping— what was the use of that? They would simply be caught and placed back. She knew the ways of the world though, and could survive rather easily. She...would help the others, she thought.

♫♪♩·.¸¸.·♩♪♫ Symphony ♫♪♩·.¸¸.·♩♪♫

Symphony sat on the bench in her cell, her head down, eyes shut. She was humming softly, trying to drown out the thoughts plaguing her. The melody soothed her a bit, but she knew none of those around her could hear it. That was good, in a sense, she supposed, but it also meant she could do nothing to help. It hurt just being here, and hurt even more to know that her songs had no effect. Her cell had been made soundproof, as the arias which she produced could alter the emotions of others. Any hope, any positivity, was utterly foreign in this cold, alien place.

The Meloetta was scared, alone, and breaking. She could feel herself breaking. A tear slid down her cheek, and her voice broke, the humming morphing into a haunting requiem for joy, a now-foreign emotion. Glad now that no one could hear it, she allowed her song to pour outwards, like a river previously only allowed to trickle through a dam finally bursting free. Truth be told, the woman loved singing, she really did. It was a major part of who she knew herself to be, and she feared that even that might be taken from her. The thought of one of the people who had captured her muzzling her rose in her mind, and her song gained an undertone of terror. The words weren't really "words;" they weren't from any known language, at least. Still, they possessed a certain power, their meaning clear.

As her anguish flowed free for the first time since she had been captured, the amplifier earpiece increasing her volume. She wondered if the vagabonds could hear her. In the case that they could, she knew that they would feel as if their hearts were being wrenched from within their chests just as she did. Through the ghostly melody, however, Symphony did begin to feel slightly better. She knew that wouldn't last long, unfortunately.

【Faven】

Eyes closed, the Ho-Oh known as Faven sat on a stone slab within his monochromatic cell, leaning back against the wall with his eyes shut tight. He was tortured, day in and day out, by this proximity to sheer evil. He wanted to flee, to escape, but he couldn't. The man was severely weakened, both physically and mentally. There seemed little he could do, and some days, it all appeared worthless, this holding out. Was there a point? But no, he had to persevere. He couldn't, he wouldn't, give in.

Every time a new Pokemon was corrupted, he felt it, as if it were a physical dagger being driven into his abdomen. He'd lost count of just how many knives that totaled, at this point, but it seemed that their captors knew this, knew that it was torture enough simply to fell others around him. Focusing on the steadily dimming light grew more and more difficult, although he tried. At least he wasn't in Pokemon form, he tried to reason. If he were, he knew the pain would be many times worse.

Still, he missed the skies, the clouds, the wonderful feeling of gazing down over glistening sapphire oceans and emerald forests. Here, there was no sky, no ocean, no forest. Just cold, harsh, stony greys and whites. In his cell, there wasn't even any black, and it certainly seemed as if that was intentional. Happiness had been frostbitten from the Rainbow Pokemon's world. It was as if he were hanging onto the edge of a crumbling edifice, scrambling at the rock, no longer even trying to pull himself up but just to hold on. Alas, he no longer was sure he could do even that.

Diana

Sitting in the corner of the cell, Diana looked at the blank wall in front of her. Reaching her hand out to the wall she gently touched the cold walls, being careful not to make a sound with all those beautiful gems on her dress. She didn't like this grey, Lifeless place. She wanted to be back where people could see her and call her a beautiful Pokemon and not a human, stuck in a cell with no gems to appreciate, well except the ones on her dress.
Lani

Anyone who first looked at them would think they were a normal Tapu Lele, until Lani lifted their face so their human face would show. Staying silent they glared around the room, showing no interest in the others. They was the type who wanted to be alone and not talk to anyone. Sure they had a good relationship with the other Tapu, but the meaning of their relationship was that Lani won't attack the other tapus. Yet they really missed the flowers and helping pokemon.

Fyssi--Shadow Lugia

The shadowy psychic was once again to be found within her room at Giovanni's main base. It was like an apartment of sorts, certainly beating the prison cells her comrades were dealing with at the moment, yet she wasn't happy with her predicament; in fact, it was rather difficult for her to feel any emotion right now, with this corruption plaguing her soul and mind.

Fyssi was once a ordinary, free-spirited Lugia, happily living out her life in the depths of the blue sea, raising her young one, before the whole fiasco with the vengeful Rainbow Rocket leader had left her corrupted, more so than any of the others, for though her powers had been amplified by the shadow energy, she had lost her soul from day one, and if it weren't for her psychic bond with her son, named Farore by a friendly Keldeo, she would have been more of a machine than the other shadows, even. None of the smug pride that some of them had, nore any of the grey sadness of others. For though the shadow corruption had been unable to fully take over the souls of some of the other legendaries, Fyssi could be considered completely free of all life, all spirit, swiped by the shadows, if it weren't for Farore, which was why she wanted to protect him with all her power. This was why she never resisted. She wouldn't let him sit in that cold, grey, lifeless cell. She wouldn't let him know fear, or pain, if she could help it. For his pain was hers, his fear and sadness also...and Fyssi might not be able to handle those emotions well, as she had found, she was prone to lashing out.

She was in her bed, her raven-colored wings tucked warmly around Farore, who was asleep in his mother's lap, snoring softly, undoubtedly having peaceful dreams despite what was going on, for though her appearance had changed, the young one still trusted his mother fully. She had never stopped loving him, however hard it had been for her to do so. Yet, as she looked at him, she still felt that motherly anxiety. She didn't know how to keep him safe when she could hardly control herself. She would leave him to her friends in the dungeons, for they had more control over their own poor souls and bodies, and it wasn't like she didn't trust them, quite the contrary, in fact. She simply feared that in their abused state, they would hardly be able to keep the baby Lugia from Giovanni's greedy grasp. He certainly wasn't very strong, but he was still a young legendary, the humans had already taken a clear interest in him, yet had steered clear, as his mother never let him leave her sight. And the sight of his mother was quite the intimidating sight indeed, with her black scales and bright, blood-red eyes, and her jagged, silver eyeliner, her raven hair shadowing her face, and her looks didn't deceive, either. The humans knew that, so there was one advantage.

Zeta--Shadow Zeraora

The feline electric was in a large training room of sorts, practicing his close combat move on a training dummy, hammering it with his yellow, striped, muscular fists. It was a sight to behold, his furious paws vigorously striking the training tool at such speeds that they were but a bright yellow blur to the seeing eye. He was doing quite the number on the test dummy, despite it being built to stand up to even the strongest of attacks, Zeta was tearing it apart, his powers amplified by his shadow-corruption, a clear example of just how advanced Giovanni's technology was, outclassing even those humans before him, attempting something similar, and this wasn't even his finest example, yet it was a sight to behold. As was per usual with Zeta, sparks were flying off his curled claws, hitting the area around him, despite him not even using any of his electric-type moves. It was simply a result of him getting worked up by the excitement of attacking something. He found it was a great way to relieve stress, that and boredom.

Zeta had never been much of a nice person, even before corruption. He had so little experience with social interaction, or the idea of having a family at all; he had been ripped from his home and family at an extremely young age, by humans, if you could believe it. He had been used and experimented on in his kittenhood, and as such, there wasn't much for Giovanni to break when they found him. He had so recently escaped...it was safe to say he was already broken. Yet that didn't stop him from being prideful, arrogant, selfish, and stubborn all the same, despite his situation. Still often laughing at the expense of others. Most avoided him for this reason, though he made a strong ally when it came to battle, as anyone observing would see now.

Archion--Shadow Zekrom

The black thunder Pokemon was wandering the halls of Rainbow Rocket's main base--his louds footsteps able to be heard by the prisoners below--wrapped in his own boredom. He didn't feel like training...too mentally tired. Or sleeping, he wasn't that lazy! Instead, he'd rather walk, lost in his own thoughts. what were Giovanni's plans? Why couldn't something interesting happen already? He didn't care if the prisoners escaped, as long as that gave him something to do.

In his ordinary form, as his siblings, Kyurem and Reshiram knew, Archion was a jolly soul, loving to crack dumb jokes, and make friends with everyone, despite his large, bulky, imposing appearance. His looks had deceived many, yet he soon corrected them with his goofy demeanor. He was very soon deemed harmless, mostly. Protective of those he cared about, sure, but never malicious. Never brutal. Not as he was now. Sure, he was brash at times, but he was friendly, playful...not anymore, clearly. Now he was short-tempered, ignited at the lightest spark, and brutish for the stupidest of reasons. Now he cared little for others' feelings, caring more for his own pride. He didn't care if he harmed others now. He would do as he was told, for all he cared for now was the favor of his new master. For aiding him in his rise to power. He was well and truly tarnished, much to the heartbreak of Spiri, his spicy, yet loving sister.

♫♪♩·.¸¸.·♩♪♫ Symphony ♫♪♩·.¸¸.·♩♪♫

The Melody Pokemon's voice finally gave out. She hung her head, shoulders shaking with silent sobs. There seemed to be no hope of escape, of freedom. In fact, with each passing moment, the outside world seemed more and more like a dream. Through the mixture of thick, soundproof glass and steel bars that made up the walls of her cell she could see others in similar predicaments. She'd tried a couple times at the beginning of all of this to communicate with them, to break the glass, but the glass was too strong and they had all grown more and more despondent.

Honestly, Symphony had no idea what was keeping her strong, how she was still herself, hadn't corrupted. She doubted it was her music; if it were, well, that image of a muzzle played back into her mind. No, it wasn't her singing. Maybe it was simply that she couldn't hear the sufferings of the others through the walls of her cell and was out of touch with the outside world. Although being isolated came with its own demons, she was used to it.

Spiri--Reshiram

The legendary embodiment of truth was silent in her cell. It seemed she and her...fellows had been trapped in an endless cycle of torment and pressure since their capture; she couldn't call them friends, she barely knew most of them yet, just poor fellow souls in her same unfortunate predicament. She had learned to expect it. To accept it as normal. She had always known humans to be greedy, power-hungry monsters set in their ways, caring most for their personal ideals...she had learned not to trust them. Mortals would always be flawed, it was just the way they were. Yet, Spiri refused to be controlled, dominated...refused to be owned by anyone, especially not humans, of all creatures. She was her own spirit, always would be. No matter what Giovanni did to her, or took away from her, her spirit would remain strong...even if her body wasn't necessarily at it's best at the moment.

The abuse had clearly taken it's toll on Spiri physically, however. Her wings were ragged, her normally shiny white feathers stained red with blood and black with grit. Her smooth, pale human skin was covered in scabs that she'd picked, and had begun bleeding again. Her blue eyes looked tired, but not yet free of the blue hellfire that lit them. Even after her brother was taken from her, and she had to come to the realization that she was being left completely alone, she hadn't let her inner flame fade. Not her spirit nor her inner fire.

Spiri seemed to have a fire lit somewhere in her core. It powered her sort of engine-booster tail, and also gave her body a slight warmth to it, like touching sunlit ground. It made it so cold was never an issue for her, in fact, many creatures had sought out her warmth during her imprisonment. Smaller, yet-to-be corrupted Pokemon that had just snuggled under her wing to avoid the cold air of the dungeons. They were soon recaptured, though, and there was little the white dragon could do about it. She sighed softly, thinking of the poor Pokemon that had to be dragged into this...

I swear, I will maim that Giovanni the second I get the chance! Just wait and see! She thought harshly at no one in particular.

There went her mind again. It was clear her anger played a huge factor in keeping her spirit alive throughout this...she had a naturally strong look on situations, and while she was still normally rather friendly, much like her now corrupted brother, she wasn't one to give up. She didn't like rushing into things, and was much more patient than Zekrom was. Anyone who knew Spiri knew that the Reshiram was not one to give into extreme pressure and punishment. Not easily anyway.

Flick--Mewtwo

Mewtwo wouldn't lay down. He hadn't slept since the very first day of his recapture. He had spent his time resisting, paying no mind to the abuse that followed each instance of disobedience. He was used to mistreatment by humans, especially these ones in particular, of course, as they had been responsible for his existence, and had tried to control him early on. He was used to their abuse, and though this was surely the worst he'd experienced thus far, his rebellious mind would never allow them to win him over. No, he was too strong for that. It angered him how the humans were treating his fellow legendaries...he'd learned to empathize with some of them...unusual for his supposed 'savage' heart. He'd grown sort of feelings for them, though he'd never call them friends. He was still bitter and mistrustful of others, for fear they might lure him into a false sense of comradery and attempt to control him again. No, he'd never let that happen. A solitary life was better than that of toxic friendship.

He was snarling at the bars and walls that confined him in this tiny square. His shared DNA with the feline Mew made him long to explore large areas...to be free to do as he fancied. Yet, he was once again stowed away to be used later like some kind of tool. He wouldn't be fooled. Not this time. That was why he hadn't given in. Why he had vowed to never give in. He was no one's prize...no one's property. Never would be. He was determined to escape before he fell. That will never happen. He thought.

He was clutching a smooth stone in his human, five-fingered hand. It had one been a rather large, rough rock, but in his time alone Flick had scraped it against the gravelly ground, smoothening it. He had done this out of boredom. A rock was keeping the cloned creature sane. Strange to think about, but it was true. Flick was proud of the smooth stone. He would never let it go, and if he somehow, someday ended this cycle of capture, no doubt he would keep this rock as a trophy. He knew there was only one way that would happen, though...

Meka--Mew

The Mew was rather cheerful compared to the others in the same situation as her. She quite enjoyed getting a reaction out of her captors, even if it did end up painful in the end...but their faces! She wasn't stupid, of course. She knew her friends were suffering. They didn't quite have the mental state of mind that she had to remain so strong...that was unfortunately why some of her friends had given into the torment of the humans. She refused to do the same. She refused to let herself fall victim to the negativity. She forced herself to be cheerful sometimes. She had too, if she ever hoped to regain her freedom again. She was fortunate, she wasn't easy to break. She wasn't easy to anger, either...maybe that was the problem...

Meka had always been a rather strong Pokemon. She'd never lost battles easily; it took skill to defeat her in a match. Her unpredictable battle strategy of transforming and using her psychic abilities changed on a whim, her opponents had no idea what to expect. Yet that was only when she successfully differentiated between a game and an actual battle. Usually enough hard hits would set her mind straight, yet sometimes she insisted on playing with her opponents. Some Pokémon disliked her for this, others found it amusing. She was cool with that. Yet, when angered, her carefree and whimsical manner went out the window, blown away by the breeze. If Meka got serious, she was a force to be reckoned with. If Meka had a grudge to bear, she would bear it until she had deemed the vengeance satisfactory. Giovanni had yet to torment her by making her watch the suffering of her friends toward the abuse right in front of her face...that was probably smart of him. Meka didn't make long lasting relationships easily, so when she did...her loyalty was a godlike force. A great way to anger the catlike mythic was to cause pain to those she deemed close to her in her sight. She felt sympathy for them now, wanting to see their faces when she freed them, but she hadn't gotten a good enough view of their pain for her to fully understand what they were going through. Perhaps she just needed to see her friends again...

Speaking of which...what was wrong with her lock?

Right. A closer inspection of the door allowed Meka to see that the latch of her cell hadn't exactly closed properly since she had been placed back in here. That made sense...the guards had been pretty frustrated with her when they'd left her...they'd slammed the door so hard...was it possible that the lock didn't latch properly? Wildly intrigued, Meka played with it a little, sticking her small hand between the bars and pulling on it....

Clink!

With a small, metallic sound, the cell door opened a crack. The levitating cat gjinka pushed it open a bit more, letting herself into the corridor. Her eyes widened, a spark of excitement lit them as she looked down the passageway at the other cells, and the prisoners inside. To all, she was in clear view. It wasn't hard to see the escaped creature, or hear her happy little squeak of triumph. "Mew!" Despite her using her cries as a language, sometimes she did cry out her own name as an expression of joy. Habit.

Hearing the clinking sound, Scarlett walked to the edge of her cage, knocked on the glass, and signaled using sign language, asking the mew to let her out too. Her cold eyes softened to those filled with emotion, letting the mew know she wasn’t lost— not yet at least

Diana

Upon hearing the New species pokemon, Diana rushed to the bars to see what was happening, her jewels making soft twinkling noises. Seeing the Mew out from the cell made the jewel Pokemon smile a bit. There was a way out! She tried to put her hand through the cold bars of the cell to signal the Mew to free her as well. After all, being left behind wasn't good.
Lani

They didn't even look up upon hearing the Mew. Even though they wanted to escape so badly they didn't want to talk to the new species Pokemon at all. Lifting their face a little, they waited until they could be finally free

Meka began aggressively picking at the cells nearest to her, which happened to be Diana and Scarlett. She Focused on using her psychic powers to get dep into the locks. the bars of the cells suppressed the powers of the prisoners, but as Meka was free from containment, she was able to break the mechanisms. With a few flying sparks, she managed to free Xerneas and Diancie. "Quick, free the others!" She whispered to them, her tail suddenly flicking anxiously. "Be quiet about it, too! If we can wait out the day, we can all sneak out while the corrupts sleep!" A plan was forming spontaneously in her head. A pretty basic one, but it would have to do.

Diana

Nodding at the Mew, the jewel pokemon, now free started to walk across the corridor to Lani's cell, since it was the closest to her. Holding the frilled ends of her dress to prevent the jewels from making sounds, she held her breath, afraid that everything she did would make a sound, wake the corrupts, and back in that cold cell she went.

Finally reaching Lani's cell, Diana looked at the lock. She held it in her hands, fiddling with it to try and figure out how to open it. She didn't want to use any moves, since if it made a loud noise, it would be over

The Xerneas began using her horns to pick away at the locks. She managed to break several, and quickly ushered the prisoners out. This took quite a long time, and she bit her tongue anxiously, hoping that the mew would have a plan. They sure as hell wouldn’t be able to just swarm out like this

♫♪♩·.¸¸.·♩♪♫ Symphony ♫♪♩·.¸¸.·♩♪♫

It took the Meloetta a moment to realize what had happened, as her eyes were still shut tight against the horrors she'd been forced to endure. When she did finally look up due to an odd sense of something being off, a pink clad woman who she knew as Mew was standing... outside a cell?! Symphony just sat there, shocked, for a moment before leaping up and running to the door of her cell. She laid her hand on the glass, watching with eyes wide as a full blown jailbreak played out before her. Will they save me, too? that stupid little voice in her head whispered. She couldn't push it away, though. What if they left her?

【Faven】

Faven's eyes snapped open the second he heard noises from outside the cell. He'd been hurt, beaten down, but his mind was still sharp, and the second he saw other captives free from their cells, he immediately stood, hoping to draw attention with the sudden movement. The relatively new gash on his back, a result of his continued defiance, screamed in anger, but he bit his lip, pushing away the pain. Quickly, he glanced up and down the halls, wondering how they'd gotten so lucky, how no grunts had come running to punish the Pokemon who dared defy them. He dared not call out to them for fear he would draw unwanted attention, but he couldn't help but tap his fingers lightly against the bars which caged him.

The Xerneas heard Faven’s feeble tapping, and immediately swept over to help. She picked slowly at the lock, with a hairpin from her clipped up hair, eventually breaking it, she slowly, gingerly opened the lock, setting him free. After that, she went to help the Meloetta. Hers was much more difficult, seeing as it was soundproof glass as well as the lock. Ah well, that didn’t mean the glass was unbreakable, right? She picked the lock first, before pulling back her fist and smashing it into the glass. The glass broke a little, but still held strong. And now her fist hurt. Time for a new tactic. She charged towards the door, her antlers effectively and effortlessly breaking the glass and freeing the Meloetta without making too much loud noises to alert the guards, but enough to worry her a bit. “Owww....that hurt” she grumbled to herself

Diana

"Uh- a little help?" She whispered to the Xerneas. All of her tactics to open Lani's lock wasn't working. She even tried to use her jewels to open it, but it didn't help. She could diamond storm the lock, but that would make far too much noise. So much noise that the corrupts would hear it and know something was off.
Lani

Finally standing up, they watched the Diance struggle to open the lock, before asking for help. They were surprised that she could reach the lock with her short height, managing to reach it by standing on her tip toes. Walking to the cold bars he waited until Diana could get help. And then when they were free, Lani could help free the others since the jewel Pokemon couldn't.

"Just aim small attacks at the locks. I little bit of clanging won't alert anyone, I think. Just hold back as much as you can. Be quick, but don't rush. The guards left recently, we've got a while yet." The Mew whispered urgently. She had made her way for Spiri's cell. The Reshiram had pretty quickly realized what was going on, and had stood up, from what Meka could see. She did her psychic trick again, sending her telekinetic powers into the mechanism holding the lock together, and soon shattering it. It seemed this would be an effective tool for now, though she hoped that the freed prisoners would in turn help the others, as it would speed up the process greatly. She wanted to give everyone a chance to escape, if she could. She knew full well by the wounds and scratches she now clearly saw that no one deserved to stay here any longer.

Spiri wasted no time swinging the door of her cell open, almost hitting Meka in the face. No way she would sit in that prison any longer than she had to. Immediately she began preparing a fire attack deep in her chest, knowing the metal locks wouldn't take the heat too well, especially not heat that was so full of the desire to escape...to exact her vengeance on the creatures who dared do this to her and the other legendaries, who could in a way be considered siblings to her...children of Arceus. In any case, everyone should get out of this dump as soon as possible.

She headed for Lani's lock, the fire snaking its way to her throat. "Stand aside, I've got this." She hissed quickly, this hissing mostly coming from the smoke leaking from her mouth. She aimed her attack, blue flare, at the lock, causing the potent smell of burning metal to fill the dungeon and the lock became tender enough for her to shatter easily with a claw.

Flick watched as the prisoners began to slowly break each other out...he watched with great interest, especially when dealing with the idea that they could free him as well. They didn't seem to be excluding anyone, not in the dungeons anyway. His quick pacing had stopped suddenly, to be replaced with the steady, irritated flicking of his long tail. His deep purple eyes burned into the bars, he wouldn't let them forget him, not if he could. He wasn't too stubborn to realize that them helping him out would make his life ten times easier, in terms of escaping the prison, that was. yet, if they for some reason did leave him, he wouldn't personally be surprised, after all, what was the point of trusting anyone? He'd free himself, he would just have to figure out how...

Ever since unfortunately loosing his wings, Zaytiophilan hadn't used his voice at all. To him, his wings were his pride; his happiness. Take away that fierce attitude, that joy, that happiness, what do you have left?
Zae.
His eyes were stuck to the floor, unable to move, his pale body unhealthily slender and awkwardly damaged, evident from the constant twitching of his hands and the position of his neck. Silence haunted his waking hours; which, admittedly, had come to be all his hours. Not once had sleep blessed him since the experiments had began, thought he couldn't say that he missed it.
His face was stoic, his back near the stone wall but not quite touching, for if it did there would be no end to the pain released from the many scars that lay across it's surface.
What he was doing, currently, was hard to tell, though if one were to look close enough they might see his face pull into a slight frown. Something was off; Zae could hear it. Zapdos was not well know for it's hearing, nor did many know of the position of it's ears, but after spending so long in miserable silence, the Gijinka had learned to listen to what little sound was avaliable to him, which was more often than not the screams of his fellow legendaries and Mythicals.
There it was, though; a faint shattering sound, so slight that if he weren't listening the noise would have left unnoticed.
Zae's cell was completely made of stone, including the lock, with a small glass eyepiece for the guards to peek through. Sadly, it was a one-way window, so as Zae looked through the only eyes he saw were his own infuriated ones. Hopefully, if something were happening, whoever was on the other side would see him. Usually he vouched not to raise his hopes, nor did he now, but he couldn't help the spark of excitement that had lit inside him.

Lani

As soon as the lock shattered Lani had ran out to help the others, not even saying a word of thank you. They rushed to Zae's cell, seeing how it was the closest to them. Focusing a grass knot into the mechanism they shattered the lock, their blues eyes staring at the Zapdos. "You're free now." They said in a low voice, before going off to help others.
Diana

The Diancie started at the Reshiram in amazement. To her the fire was the coolest thing she had seen. A while later she had gone off to try again, to free at least one prisoner. Her eyes laid on Flick, and a idea formed in her head. Walking over to the Mewtwo, she focused hard to make her dazzling gleam as silent as possible, aiming at the lock. To her surprise, it shattered. Diana almost gasped in excitement. She had done it!

Scarlett hurried to free Samuel— she had forgotten about about him. She made quick work of the lock, before mumbling a quiet “you’re free” to the Pokémon inside. Afterwards, she stood up, and spoke in a sharp, clear but quiet tone. “How the hell are we gonna get out?”
