Xatina took the phone with a bit of surprise. "Oh, er, thank you?"
She stared curiously at the phone, whispering rather loudly. "How
does this thing work?" She poked it a couple of times, not taking
her eyes off of it. The phone was a completley foreign object to
her, she had no idea how it worked or what to do with it. In the
Underworld, you don't really get the best phone quality so there
was never a reason to have one. Xatina kept muttering to herself,
twisting it in her hands and looking at it from evrey angle. She
looked up. "Heh, uh, no, walking is just fine." She was never
telling anyone about her fear. That would be stupid.
Jesse could tell. About her fear. Usually this wasn't something he
could sense, but this was a deep fear. There was no point in
telling anyone else, but this was something to keep in mind.
Sebastian had sat down in the teachers lounge and started sorting
papers, always hated doing that. Yet he was quick at it. He put a
few different papers away again, wondering if he still was too
early. He looked at one of the papers //Already prepared a test for
them huh.// he thought
Xatina gave a little gasp when the phone lit up, almost dropping
it. "Oh, okay wow." She stared at the screen. "What do all those
little squares do?" This was fascinating for her, and her mouth
dropped open a little. "So this is a phone? This is so cool!"
Normally Xatina was a lot more calm then this, but she couldn't
help it. This was the first time she'd seen a phone, and it had
instantly captured her attention.
As Jesse and Ebony ran along the slippery creek behind the woods on
the way to the school, he couldn't help but marvel at the beautiful
sight. As they reached the school, he was in awe at the stature of
the great building. He remembered to tuck his wings back in before
entering and decided to throw a tennis ball around with Ebony until
class started and the others got there.
Sebastian lifted his head a little "The bell." He mumbles a little,
getting up. His wings folded again after he stretched them out
really quick. He went to head to his classroom
Felix carefully walked down the path and into the junkyard, locking
the heavy, iron gate behind him. Chester was following at his heels
as he walked down the path as all the scrap metal and furniture and
whatnot were all in sorts of mountains, leaving a clear, dirt path
he could walk down. About a minute or two of walking later and he
reached a small cabin that was pretty much isolated from the heaps
of items. Behind the cabin there was an area only accesable by the
cabin, the place he worked on whatever he wished. He opened the
door, walking inside and locking it. Chester walked over to his
food bowl, mewing and pawing it. Laughing, Felix walked into
another room with the bowl and returned with it full of food that
his best friend hungrily gobbled up. He laughed, taking care of
whatever else his cat would have needed and walking into his room,
sitting on the bed and staring at the wall like he usually did. He
couldn't help but feel something strange about the wall. There was
a window on the outside attached to his bedroom, but he didn't have
two windows in his bedroom. Just one. So that made him curious,
especially as the window, that seemed to be covered by a black
blind, was around the area of the wall. What was up with it?
Mei had slept through her alarm, to the point where it
automatically turned off. She let out a yawn and yanked her sheet
over herself and closed her eyes. It was too early for this... She
had completely forgotten that she was supposed to do today, but not
like she cared anyways. A nagging feeling kept her from falling
asleep though, something that made her want to listen to her alarm.
School... people... angels and demons... These words flooded her
mind as she tried to piece together what she was supposed to do.
“Oh yeah...” the groggy words filled the empty, barren room before
another sound was let out, the sound of her sheets being pulled
away from her. “An hour late... whatever...” she mumbled, getting
her clothes on. At this point she had lived with it for so long, it
wasn’t much of a problem to put her shirt on over her wings. As big
and bulky as they were, she found a way to make it easier to deal
with. Another yawn escaped her mouth as she stuffed her phone in
her jeans and slowly walked out the door. “Where was it again...”
she continued to mumble to herself before peeking up to the sound
of people talking. She could immediately tell that they were around
her age, a mix of demons and angels. She decided to quietly follow
them and hoped they would lead to the school
It took Mei a moment to realize that she was supposed to react to
the loud noise, as she didn’t really find it important. “What was
that supposed to be...” she looked around, but didn’t make it
obvious she was doing so. She cupped her hands around her mouth and
began to yell. “Hey! You missed me!” She let out a small laugh,
finding her own actions silly and immature
Jesse heard it as well. He began running through the forest to
where his friends were. He'd never been here before so the sound
wasn't something he recognized. As he approached a new girl near
the end of the pack, one he'd never seen before, he said "Hey, shhh
that could be something dangerous don't provoke it!"
Mei’s laughter turned into a snicker as she grinned at the boy who
approached her. “Well if it’s dangerous, why not get it out of the
way now? Besides, we’ll have fun doing it! Might have a casualty or
two, but that’s fine!” She continued to laugh more and more as she
thought about the situation. “With an aim like that, I doubt it’s
anything baaad!”
