Xatina's head turned. Fangs still bared, she snapped, "Oh nothing,
just these jerks trying to make a big deal out of nothing, and pin
me as someone that I haven't proved myself to be!" She suddenly
realized that she was being rude, and took a deep breath. "But you
haven't introduced yourself. Who are you?" Xatina didn't want to be
the stuck-up person. She just wanted to move on from this. She
didn't care if it meant having no friends, she just didn't want to
be hated like this. It was already bad enough being a demon, she
didn't need any more of that.
Blinking, James stopped and looked down. Smiling, he turned and
crouched, saying "Hello. What's your name?" Setting his pouch of
trinkets on the ground, he reached out his empty hand for Chester.
Glancing over his shoulder at Xadia, he spoke again. "Justa
minute!"
Ah, so you, O Mysterious
and Curious Soul, have come to seek answers in the abyss?
Xatina nearly jumped out of her skin. "Don't scare me like that!"
She muttered. "As I was saying, I don't know how, but I want to
prove that I am more than just a stuck up prick, as you seem to
think I am. If I could only have a chance, I could show all of you
that while my power may be of deception, I am simply ambitious and
willing to do anything to get above."
Meanwhile, a large phoenix had descended from the skies, landing in
front of the school. Its rider, whose true form is that of a
feathered white dragon standing at around the height of a normal
human being, slid off from the back of the bird and entered the
school, carrying some sort of long wooden pole with him.
Sebastian arrived a little bit later than the phoenix, after
landing his six wings were neatly folded, each of them shimmering a
little as their white feathers were hit with the light of the sun.
He brushed a few light strands of his white hair out of his face,
watching some of the students shortly before turning to walk into
the building, he´d have to get his stuff ready. Class wouldnt teach
itself after all.
"Ok then Xanita, if you really are someone you'll have to prove it
to us. Cuz nothing you've done so far has. Obviously I can see
you're trying not to hurt us and I don't doubt that you could. But
you doubt us as well. Let's just try to resolve this and *checks
watch* we have 26 minutes to get to school. We'll finish this
then."
Xatina bit her lip and sighed. "I suppose so. I have to admit, you
were right about the not being able to hurt you. Being the youngest
of seven demons, I'm the weakest. I could only use my power against
you for about 30 minutes before I passed out." She noticed the cat,
and tried to smile, though it still looked like she was baring her
teeth no matter how hard she tried. "Hi..there." She sighed. Being
good wasn't really her thing, she was just less evil then the
average demon. Maybe that was why she was ranked the youngest..
"It is a nice junkyard, I guess after school we meet at my place I
did inherit my family's mansion and fortunes. My mother died during
child birth and I never met my father I assume either dead or does
not want anything to do with me." (Hands everyone a paper with my #
and Address)
Xatina sighed. "I'd love to accept that offer, since this hill is
seriously large and I can't fly, but flying gets me too close to
the sun. I've never been that high before, so it would be awfully
painful." Truth be told, Xatina was really just terrified of
hights. And with good reason! Hights were extremley scary. The
ground was solid and firm and she liked it much, much more than the
clouds. No wonder her wings were stunted. Xatina had never used
them before because of her fear of hights. She accepted the paper,
listening to him talk with a slight frown of sympathy before
realizing what was on the paper. "I'm afraid this number does me no
good either. Our family doesn't own a telephone."
