"Sounds alright. I'll just be waiting here, then." Gently ruffling
Emerald's head fur, Typhoon ambled over to greet the other Pokemon.
It was at that moment Winter dashed off
“Ack!” Winter was so fast! Heck, the results of his training really
was showing! He sprinted off after him, trying to catch up, which
he just about managed. He really needed to get some speed training
in...
Winter was heading along the Great River, it swerved off to the
right just as they reached a dense, vibrant dark green wooded area.
The scents radiating from it were all planty and sort of sweet
smelling.
Under the trees, the forest was filled with life! There were
flowers, berry trees, and similar plants everywhere! Young Pokémon
were playing happily in every patch of sun, and there was the
rushing of a river in the distance. Not as strong as the Great
River, but just as beautiful. It was here that Winter slowed down.
Emerald’s eyes sparkled as he looked around...he was very reminded
of the area near his home...as well as a few other areas too. This
was certainly paradise, alright...he had found another one. He was
awed
"This place supposedly has super rare berries growing all around
it. This Keldeo told me where to find it, so I sorta have a rough
idea on where to go, but I've never seen or tried one. Supposedly
they can only grow in a place like this..." Winter explained as he
padded along, looking all around, seemingly searching for
landmarks.
“Berries that only grow in a certain place...I wonder what’s here?”
Emerald said happily. “Luminia has berries that only grow there
too!” He looked around at the greenery. He found a giant leaf and
carried it like an umbrella
"Yup!" Called an unfamiliar voice, and the sound of hooves hitting
the ground could be heard running toward them as a Green small deer
Pokémon ran up to greet them. "I was named after them! I can show
you where to find Jazz berries!" Sort of like Sparky, the deerling
seemingly couldn't stand still, clearly wanting to dash off in some
direction...
“Jazz...berries?” Emerald tilted his head. He was curious. What do
they look like? What do they taste like? Any side effects? He was
bursting with questions...
The Deerling led them to an impressive bush filled with pink
berries with long stems. Upon closer inspection, they appeared to
be shaped of musical notes.
Emerald tenderly picked one off the bush, and slowly ate the
musical berry, already trying to grasp the flavour. He wondered if
there was any side effects to these...or if they had special
properties...
“Oh wow! It’s like a battle version of the Heaven Berry!” Emerald
exclaimed. “This isn’t as sweet as them though, but it’s still so
good!” He ate through the berry with a wide smile on his face
"Revival herbs? So they're better than full restores, then? Also
what's a Heaven berry?" Winter licked juice off his paws as he
asked, as he hadn't taken very good care not to make a mess.
The Deerling nodded. "Yeah, I guess so... they work as both a
revival herb and a full restore."
