PMD: Spirit Shards - Roleplay
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Pokémon RP → PMD: Spirit Shards - RoleplayIn the world of Pokémon, a long-since sealed away darkness is arising from its prison once more...
For you, it was but a normal night. You live a life as a Pokémon that was brought to this world from another one about a year ago. You used to be a human, but woke up with total amnesia, hearing whispers about some...destiny? Whatever that meant. Life has been normal as long as you've been here, no conflict other than the occasional squabble, which is to be expected...You live in a rather small and comfortable village, and you get along with the Pokémon there. You have known that they were once humans as well, so you feel close to them.
However, tonight, everything is about to change.
You get ready for bed as normal, and as soon as your head hits the pillow you've fallen asleep. You instantly open your eyes in a dark place, surrounded by the awful sounds of a dark, trapped thing roaring. Glowing red eyes greet you as you watch it emerge. You scream, but it doesn't attack, it only moves right through you, you look behind yourself to watch it leave, and you see it heading toward a peaceful village!
Your village.
As soon as the horrid vision appeared, however, it was gone, and you find yourself in a sunny, beautiful field of flowers, surrounded by Pokémon that have only ever existed in legends. They rush off, and you find yourself chasing after them. They are heading for the same village the...thing was headed towards, and you quickly realized the nightmare wasn't gone at all!
The Legends meet the creature, and by their powers combined they defeat it, sealing it away at the price of their souls, which turn into...tiny crystals? The darkness is banished and everything is peaceful again.
Yet...you can still hear it roaring.
Next thing you know, it's morning, and you find yourself clutching something. One of the crystal shards!
It was morning as Breeze emerged from her home. A small butterfly flew just past her nose as she stepped out. Last night's dream had left her shaken, but the town looked so peaceful now...compared to the darkness it had been drowned by in the vision.
The cool air ruffled her clothing slightly, and the Leafeon could feel the shard against her shoulder from where it sat in a pouch under her cape, right next to her bow. The bow was a weapon she had acquired early on. Day one, in fact. It was the first weapon she had obtained from a small workshop she had helped for the day. She practiced with it often, and it was a more comfortable way of battling, as her human self had loved archery. It made her feel safe while she was alone, before discovering the others...This town was built by her and the other inhabitants, a safe place for them to live in this unfamiliar environment, though Breeze herself had first awoken in a snowy environment, having taken her cloak to keep warm, and to keep herself from embarrassment, as her social skills with new people were as good as she was against ice attacks. Weak. But no one dared approach her while that shadow loomed over her face. Her cape and weapon made her feel safer for the entire year she'd spent in this world. Now, for the first time, she felt scared again. What did this blue crystal mean?
Maybe it had something to do with why she'd entered this world in the first place.
Ace had startled awake his eyes almost comically wide. He almost never had nightmares of any sort, so he was thoroughly shaken. Slowly standing up, the croagunk started to prepare for his day. He tidied up his room a bit, grabbing his goggles and sliding them over his eyes. He paused when he spotted something in the corner of his eyes. It was harder to spot, it's bright glint dulled due to his goggles, but he was sure something strange was there. Slowly walking over, he bent down to pick it up. It was some sort of crystal? Like in his dream. With a small shudder, he placed the crystal away in the bottom of his drawer. He didn't want to see it right now. Taking in a calming breath he took a step outside. Maybe he could find some of his friends.
Dezzy
For any of those who might know Dezzy, they know the little dragon pokemon loved his sleep. Though only Dezzy knew why he loved it so much. It was nearly a full year since he had come to this world in this form. A year since he lost his ability to see. The only thing he was really excited about was evolving, because then he would finally he able to see. He kept his sights towards becoming a Hydreigon as soon as possible. So Dezzy really appreciated dreams, one of the few times he would see. He didn't like it this time though. It wasn't happy, and it wasn't colorful. Not to mention that after waking up there was the strange crystal next to him.
With a huff he struggled to tie his bandana around his neck. He had learned a few months ago it was easiest to just tie it before hand then slip it onto his head. Once the bandana was firm around his neck, he picked up the crystal with his mouth and dropped it into the small pouch the bandana created. With a satisfied nod he walked out of his house.

Zen stretched a little as he sat up in bed. This dream confused and kinda scared him, even though he was usually known to be fearless and coldhearted. He stared at the shard he was currently holding, it felt sharp against his hand. He got up and went to look for some kind of bag to put it in, finding one, small enough to hide it underneath his cape.
As soon as he had put the Shard away safely, he grabbed his Sword, which was leaning against a table next to his bed. Zen looked at it shortly, it was light and long, more of an long sword. The rest of the group he´d usually hang out with only used daggers so that was a good change of things. He then brushed down his cape and took the bag with him, then went to hang out with some Gallades he knew.
Scar
Scar woke up, his fur was bristling and he was hissing a little as he stared at the crystal like shard in his paws, shortly admiring its colour and shape, then he got out of bed and started cleaning his mane. In his thoughts he wondered what that dream could have meant
The jewel had been oddly cool to the touch, as if the gem had a miniature snowstorm raging on the inside. She felt a powerful presence as she had stared at it, as if she were holding a sleeping giant that had once raged and fought, but was now subdued...in the form of what one could mistake for a missing piece of jewelry.
After walking a good distance from her sleeping den, the Leafeon ultimately decided to simply wait for the others to awaken first.
Once he was satisfied with his fur he went back to the shard he had left on the bed. He picked it up, it was almost pure black with red lines going through, It almost seemed alive? The red lines seemed to be disappearing and reappearing with the time. No no.. He must still be half asleep. He shook his head and placed the crystal into a bag he was carrying around.
Zen
Zen was now doing some training with the Group of Gallades he was with

Ampere woke up not long after Volare had, still wondering what the hell that dream even was. Beside the pile of cushions that he slept in was some sort of yellow crystal with electric blue veins, which he proceeded to pick up and inspect. At one point during his inspection, he tried tasting it, but it mostly just tasted like static electricity. Not good for eating, he thought. He went outside soon after, and checked if Volare was awake yet.
A soft wind pushed through Ari's 'house' as the Grass Snake pokemon arose, stretching her 'arms' with a gentle yawn, apparently undisturbed by the nightmare. Her feet dragged her forwards, towards the door, as she slowly opened her eyes, having only just woken up. She had never spared much thought for dreams; she wasn't at all superstitious, believing truly in facts and science. Perhaps, then, this was the reason for her not noticing the small blue crystal in her hand as she strode from her hut, inching her way towards the market.
Now more awake, her steps gained a purposeful aspect, heading towards a certain Leafeon she had known for a while.
"Breeze!" She called, waving her hand, which just happened to be the one with a shard in it - a shard that she still, somehow had managed not to notice.
Ace made his way down a small worn path, perking up once he saw a familiar Leafeon. Picking up his pace he noticed a Purrloin seemingly choking on something. "Oh my gosh, are they dying!" He panicked, lightly bouncing on his feet out of nervousness. "I can find someone to help!" He exclaimed, though he didn't run off right away. If help wasn't required he didn't want to run for nothing.
Dezzy
Dezzy let out a frustrated growl as he slammed into yet another wall. Backing up a few steps he shifted around two steps, proceeding down the sidewalk. One would have thought the Deino would be used to this by now, but they were wrong. Out of all the pokemon he could have become, he had to be a practically blind one. Bumping into another object, he paused. It didn't feel like a wall. Wrapping his teeth around the object, Dezzy did as Deino's tend to do. He bit it. Clang! The Deino reared back, his teeth now throbbing. While it didn't seem to hurt the now angry Aegislash, Dezzy did get a rather large earful.
