"Alice is finding a place for the human child to hide from whoever had harmed her," Jax explained softly, "when the girl came here, she has cuts on her arms and her legs seemed bandaged..."

Ally nodded again, starting to calm down. Maybe things wouldn't be bad here...

Seeing the creatures were distracted, Kenzie took a few steps back towards the door, silently hoping none of them would notice her.

Alice glanced back at him. "She can hide in the old kitchen. There's a huge pantry that has plenty of spaces to hide." She locked eyes with Kenzie and mouthed, "Don't even think about it"

The Unknown rounded the corner, one long leg coming into sight a few seconds before the other. It thrust a hand out, closing the door to the kitchen and holding it there. It shook its head no, then beckoned for the lot of them to follow it. Turning, it walked in its slow fashion, covering more ground than a professional athlete. A low, soft clicking sound resonated from the creature.

Jax nodded, then looked around. He could sense someone else. "Another human..." he thought, using his tongue to smell his surroundings.

Merle watched the scene from the shadows, but was far too nervous to make himself known. Especially, since, there was a human girl standing not to far from his hiding spot.

The blonde bit her lip, fear welling up inside her. She squeezed her eyes shut. Maybe, just maybe, this was just a bad dream.

He ALMOST bared his fangs but sighed, starting to slither past them. "I need time now." Jax spat, passing Alice on his way.

The Unknown came back around the corner, something like a growl resonating around the hall. One of its feet stamped, making a loud crack echo around the house. Again, it beckoned for them to follow. This time, it didn't seem so casual.

Silently, Alice mocked him. Then, she turned to Ally. "Don't worry. We'll find a place for you. Unkown says a no-go on the kitchen, but I don't see him so why don't we hide you somewhere else. Like, an empty wardrobe in one of the old bedrooms!"

Jax stopped once he was not too close, but not far from the blonde-haired girl. He looked at her, a soft gaze in his eyes.

Kenzie flinched as she heard something coming towards her. Against her better judgment, the teen opened one eye, only to see the snake creature from earlier. She gulped.

Alice led Ally to one of the bedrooms. As they walked out of sight, she called over her shoulder, "Don't let the other human escape, okay, Reptile Boy?" She unlocked the wardrobe and gestured inside the huge expanse, inhabited only by a couple of spiderwebs and a lot of dust. "Here you go, hide all you want."
