"Um... okay." Sydney gives Elekid to the nurse and her Aromatisse. She decides to wait until he's healed and lets out Gus from his Poké Ball.

Cadmus pulled out Deino's pokeball, sending it out. "Alright, we'll start this with Dragon Breath!" He commanded to the Deino.

Harper - Houndour huffs, before sniffing your bag. It appears to accept the Spinarak, because it leaves your bag alone and walk a little further ahead of you. It turns, noticing you are now following, and barks. You hear voices up ahead - it is probably leading you to Route 1.

Itsuki - "Eevee!" It crows, licking your ear. It appears to like you. The chill disappears, as if it had never been there. You hear battles going on ahead, and a girl with a Houndour walking towards a grassy area - Route 1.

Sydney - The nurse takes Elekid, putting it on a stratcher sort of thing, and wheels it through to the back room. Foongus pokes your arm, before climbing onto your shoulder. It looks worried. You wait a few minutes, before the nurse returns, Elekid walking proudly in front of her. It looks normal again, now. "Elekid is fully healed! Please come again." She bows to you slightly, before moving onto the other trainer in the room. Elekid marches up to you and stands at your side, ready to try Route 1 again.

Cadmus - The Masquerain flies up, avoiding the attack. It dives at you, pulling up at the last second and firing bubbles at Deino.

"Elekid! You're okay!" Sydney happily tells her Elekid. She's glad he's okay. She notices Gus hop up on her shoulder. "Oh. Were you worried about Elekid?" she asks the little Foongus.

Ruby woke up and rushed downstairs as she put on her clothes "I'm really, really late!" she shouted as she made her way through the city, finally reaching the lab with a slice of toast in her mouth

"Or just maybe you could explain that its the device throwing out your second-hand Pokemon." Amelia grumbles at the Professor. How could she have known that was why the other 'trainers' were in line?! Nevertheless she says no more for now, irritated, waiting for her turn to get her Pokemon already.

Only when the other trainers get there starters does she step on the pad.

Harper - You see tall grass, and tress, marking Route 1. There are several trainers there already. Houndour barks at a tree, where a Pachirisu sits, eating a berry. The grass in front of you suddenly shifts, and a yellow head appears.
A wild Pikachu appeared!


Sydney - Foongus nods slightly. It appears calmer now. It stays on your shoulder, though, and puts a hand on your ear to balance itself. Elekid stares at Foongus for a second, as if wondering why it would be worried, before letting out a short 'Ele!'. They both seem ready to go on.

Ruby - Professor Palm looks at you for a second. "Well, you're certainly a late riser, aren't you." She welcomes you inside, and explains to you how to get your starter. Another trainer is still waiting, so you should be after her.

Amelia - The pad glows, then stops. Nothing has happened. The Professor tilted her head, before typing something on her computer. She comes over and taps the pad a couple of times, muttering under her breath.

Itsuki - Your toe hits something hard, and you trip over a heavy object. It rolls slightly from the compact. You get up, brushing yourself off, and inspect what you tripped over. A pokemon egg - bage coloured, without many details. Eevee hops off your shoulder an inspects the egg. It calls a quick 'Eevee!', then start pawing at the egg. It seems to be curious.

"Alright, guys. Let's go," she tells her two Pokémon. "Thank you, ma'am," she tells the nurse. She exits the Pokémon Center and goes back to Route 1. Hopefully she can get something new, while also helping Gus learn some new moves.

Harper - Houndour's head swivels in your direction, and it leaps in front of you, growling at the Pikachu. Electricity sparks from the Pikachu's cheeks, and it calls a quick 'Pi!' before sending an electric shock towards Houndour.
Pikachu used Spark!


Sydney - There are some trainers already on Route 1. You see dozens of Pokemon around - in the air, the trees, the grass. You walk below a tree and hear a sudden shift in the leaves above you. Something round rolls off a branch, and starts dropping to the ground. It looks suspiciously like an egg. If you do not catch it, the ground will smash it and the pokemon inside will die. Hint hint. You don't see the color - it's travelling too fast.

Sydney - The egg hits your hands and bounces off, unfortunately. Luckily, Elekid was standing directly in the way. It slides into it's hands, and Elekid looks at it for a second, before offering it to you. It has blue markings, and a red mark on the front, and a slight fin protruding from it's head. Foongus lets out a sudden noise, and points to what looks like another egg, hidden in the grass. This one it mostly white, with a yellow crown sort of thing and a green base. You can only take one.

Amelia seems unsurprised as the pad doesn't seem to work. With an expression that could only be described as a mix of disgust and contempt, she jumps on the pad once in order to try and kickstart it. "Some prof. you are." If this doesn't work, she decided she'd leave. "Bet I'd find better starters in a dumpster anyway."

Amelia - The Professor flinches as you jump on it. Air hisses between her teeth as you insult her, and as you say your final line, she interrupts you. "The Dumpster pokemon are diseased and insane. You really think you'd prefer an insane pokemon to one of these?" She opens a small hatch in the floor, filled with wires. She pulls a few and slots them into different plugs, before rising with a huff. She gently pushes you from the pad, then crouches and inspects it. She lets out a few "Ah" 's and "Oh.." 's, eventually standing again. She picks up a screwdriver, then launches it at the pad. It bounces off and hits your leg, leaving a bruise. The pad flickers, then glows. "Not perfect, but it'll do." Giving you a look of disgust, she steps away, letting you back on the pad.

Sydney - Elekid nods. Foongus looks a little sad, and makes a bed for the egg out of dry leaves. A different trainer *cough* Amelia *cough* will find it later. The blue and red egg shakes a little as you hold it. From where you stand, you can just see the entrance to Route 2 - a slight clearing in the wall of trees. Undoubtedly, you will find a pokemon before you get there, but you may as well try to reach it.

Sydney notices Gus' sad expression. "What's wrong, Gus?" she asks the little guy. She decides to head off to Route 2, taking the Egg with her.

(I'm just curious, but... Green, did you get permission from the PokéFarm admins to use their custom Egg sprites?)

Sydney - "Foon.." It appears to be sad about leaving the other egg behind. It climbs back onto your shoulder, staring ahead. As you walk, your toe hits something hard. You presume it is a rock, until it shudders. You peer into the grass, and see what appears to be a sleeping spiky meteor.
