Kinaku and Addri - As you sprint towards the lab, you notice a figure following you. Every time you turn around, though, the figure dips into an alleyway. Eventually you arrive at the lab, where the door is shit and you hear voices inside. The rain pats your shoulders lightly.

Cadmus - The Ekans wobbles slightly, but managed to hold on. However, it is so weak that it practically forgets to use a move. It just sits there, staring at you.
Ekans has 19% health left!


Amelia - The rain makes the pavement slightly slippery, but you manage to make it to the lab. A Helioptile dashes out of your way as you almost trip over it. You hear two voices inside, and both sound fairly young.

"Oh.... no.... Elekid, that's Poison Powder! The poison will cause residual damage, so be careful! Anyways, try using another Thunder Shock!" Sydney exclaims. "El...." he replies, not sounding like his usual self. He tries using Thunder Shock, but for some reason, he can only get in a tiny spark. "Huh? What's going on? Why can Elekid not use Thunder Shock properly?" Sydney asks herself once again. "Um... try using Quick Attack!" "El.... ek....." Elekid weakly replies. He's definitely not himself. He uses Quick Attack successfully, though. It seems as though Elekid can't use Electric-type moves when he's poisoned. Sydney throws a Poké Ball, attempting to catch Foongus.

Sydney - The Foongus lets out a quick 'Foo!' before disappearing inside the pokeball. Wobble, wobble. There is a sudden pause, as if everything has stopped, just for you. Wobble. Ding! The pokeball is still.
Congratulations! You caught a Foongus!


Cadmus - The Ekans' eyelids shut, and it falls to the ground, fainted. You hear a battle going on nearby - probably on Route 1. Deino looks practically unharmed, though it did endure two bites

Harper - Houndour is clever. It dodges to the right, then breathes an ember onto the string. It travels up it, reaching the Spinarak and burning it. The Spinarak shreaks, before running towards Houndour, in all it's flaming beauty.
Super effective! Spinarak was burned! Spinarak has 40% health left!
Spinarak uses Poison Jab!


Kinaku and Addri - A voice inside calls, "Come in!" She then must obviously realise that she locked the door. You hear a shuffle, probably her footsteps, and a Clunk as she unlocks the door. It opens to a small ginger girl with freckles. She walks back to her computer, leaving the door open.

Kinaku and Addrika walk in, hoping the presence dissapears. They didn’t want to die this quick. Plus, weren’t they a smudge too young for the visit of death?

Barely managing to trip over the Helioptile, Amelia stands still for a moment to catch her balance. She then knocks on the door and walks on in, paying no mind to the two voices or that she may be interrupting something. "Heey! Is this the lab?" She asks as she closes the door. It sure didn't look like it from the outside...

Cadmus tilted his head, looking at the Ekans before calling back the Deino. He figured now would be a good time to walk down Route 1. Maybe he'd check out the battle.

"Awesome! I'm going to name you Gus," Sydney says to the Foongus' Poké Ball. She soon notices that Elekid is getting weaker by the minute and rushes to try and find the nearest Pokémon Center.

Kinaku and Addri - You see the messy lab, and the trainer who is about to get their starter.

Harper - Houndour is also, apparently, fast. It dashes to the left, and without waiting for you to tell it to, again uses Ember. The Spinarak falls, fainted. Houndour gives a growl of victory, before returning to your side.

Amelia - Proffesor Palm glares at you. "Yes, it is. And I'd rather not be interrupted whilst working again, thank you." She goes back to looking at her computer screen.

Cadmus - Route 1 is less dirty than the city. You see a girl catch a Foongus in some grass, and a Mandibuzz flaps overhead.

Sydney - The nearest pokemon center is in the city, but very near. Elekid stumbles along behind you, barely able to walk. The poison seems to be stronger than normal.

"Don't worry, Elekid. I'll find some help," Sydney tells Elekid, picking him up and carrying him the rest of the way so he won't have to struggle to keep up. Once she picks him up, she jumps in surprise and says, "You seem a lot lighter than usual. You're also really warm..." Elekid is extremely weak, now not even being able to speak. Sydney eventually gets to the next town and rushes over to the Pokémon Center. "Hello. Can you help my Elekid? He's poisoned and he can't use Electric-type moves for some reason," she tells the Nurse Joy.

Amelia huffs and walks over to Professor Palm, placing an arm on her desk in order to block the way of her computer screen. "Alright then! Give me the Pokemon I was promised, then I'll leave!" A bit rude, yes, but this lady started it. And she wasn't leaving without her starter!

Cadmus watched the Mandibuzz as it flew, before moving to continue down the route. The trainer that had caught the Foongus looked a little panicked, likely a close call. He shook his head. He didn't need to be thinking about others right now.

Sydney - The nurse's lips press together in a hard line. "Yes, we can help him. If you will allow me to take him to the back for a few minutes, he'll be as good as new!" She smiles at you reassuringly, though she seems to be hiding something. An Aromatisse by her side checks Elekid in numerous ways, then nods to the nurse.

Amelia - Proffesor Palm looks annoyed now. "Someone else got here first, so you'll have to wait, patiently, for your turn." She pinches your sleeve and pulls your arm away from the screen, then continues typing.

Itsuki - The pad begins to glow, though slightly less than normal. The chill becomes colder, as if you're stood in a blizzard. You hear a loud 'Eev!', before an Eevee lands in your arms. Where it came from, you do not know. Proffesor Palm inspects it. "Congratulations! You appear to have gotten a healthy Eevee as your starter. Though it does look as if it may have hay-fever..." She walks over to you, handing you six pokeballs, two great balls, three Oran berries and a pokedex. "You can... Uh... Start your journey, now."

Harper - The pokeball hits the Spinarak. Wobble, wobble, wobble. Ding!
Spinarak was caught!

Houndour raises an eyebrow at you, as if saying, Why on Earth would you catch anything that weak? It does nothing else, though, so it must be alright with it.

Cadmus - You see a large pair of orange eyes staring at you. They look quite intimidating, antil they lift, and you see two small black eyes staring at you. The larger one's were made to scare off intruders.
A wild Masquerain appeared!
