Summer looked at the pokeballs and cleared her throat. "Hey there! Anyone want to come with me? I'm not much of a fighter, so we won't be doing much battling!" She waited for one pokeball to give a response.

She picked it up and let out the pokemon inside. "Pika!" The creature called joyfully, his thunderbolt tail waving. Summer smiled. "Do you want to come with me?" She asked. The Pikachu nodded fiercely. "I'll call you Volt, then." She decided.

“Thanks!” Summer picked up the stuff, let Volt hop onto her shoulder, and shot off to Route 1. With any luck, Aria was still there. She had to muster up the courage of talking to her one day. This had to be the day.

Aria was idly playing with her pokemon. She considered going, but something told her not to.

He takes the Pokeball and takes out an Egg.

Summer struggled through the tall grass, praying that she doesn’t encounter any pokemon. After one close call in which Volt zapped away a Rattata, Summer made their way to Aria. She cleared her throat slightly.

Aria glanced up in surprise. Her pokemon did the same. “Hello?”

Summer cleared her throat. “I’m Summer, all pronouns accepted. I’ve watched you since you were in Unova, followed you here, and I have a crush on you.” She waited for Aria to answer.

Aria felt her mouth drop. Admittedly, Summer did look kind of pretty. She seemed to prefer a nore feminine look as well. “So... I guess you already know I’m Aria. These two are Nora and Serenity.” She gestured to her pokemon. She then thought for a moment. “This is new... I’ve never been in a relationship before.”

“Me neither.” Summer replied.

The two stared at each other for nearly ten more minutes before Aria decided. “I guess I can try to get to know you better... I can’t decide whether I return your feelings yet.” She patted the ground beside her.

Summer sat down. “You won’t regret it!” She promised.

Amelia looked at Snow, gulping, this was harder than she thought but she will get that pokemon. Life is never easy after all. "Snow! Use tackle again!" She creid out again, sweat dripping down due to the sun shining above her.

“So... How long have you followed me?” Aria started up.

“Maybe a year? Or so? I lost count.” Summer replied.

“You never cease to amaze me...” Aria shook her head. “Where are you from?”

“I’m French, moved here about a year ago. My parebts wanted me to leave home for being pan and NB, and I happened to have a plane ticket to Unova from a lottery. Don’t ask. So I went to Unova, saw you, and basically kept an eye on you for a year!” Summer replied.

“You’re a person of focus, commitment and sheer f***ing will.” Aria said in admiration, semi-consciously using the meme format. “Even if we end up as friends, I’ll respect you.”

Aria and Summer began to chat about more trivial stuff, quickly striking up conversation over “pokemon should be allowed to choose their trainer”. Meanwhile, Volt greeted Nora and Serenity curiously, and they began discussing about their owners. They all agreed that “Love is in bloom”.

"Dodge it, and use leer!" she shouted, not knowing if Snivy could actually hear her. She guessed she could though, because she dodged the Gigantamax Eevee's tackle and used leer. Tokyo furiously tried to come up with a tactic in her mind. It's very big, so it has limited vision... If Snivy could get on it's back, the Eevee might not be able to touch her."Use tackle, and get onto its back!" she shouted, hoping the Eevee couldn't understand.
