BREAKING NEWS!
"In a seemingly shocking turn of events, champions around the world have lost their titles all in the course of one day. Shortly thereafter, members of the Elite Four have gone missing, assumed dead."

"While following the mysterious disappearance of the Elite Four, the champions have been filling their positions with unknown trainers, who are they and what is going on throughout the world?"

Slowly you turn off the T.V. and lean back into the couch. You were supposed to start your Pokemon Journey today, but it was postponed until this crisis was sorted out. It's been about a week since the fall of the champions, and the Elite Four were nowhere to be found. As you get up to leave, the television flickers. As you look up a face appears on the screen, though you are unable to make out who it is.

Attention to all the people of Kanto. The world has fallen, Team Rocket has one. We advise you to stay inside, to watch your backs and keep yourselves and your Pokemon safe. Keep strong, even in the face of trials."

The message cuts off, the television becomes blank once more, but you recognize the voice. It was Lorelei of the Elite Four. Two weeks later she was found dead.

Three years have passed since then, Professors have started sending trainers back out into the world. The promising ones are never seen again.

Appearance: Tor wears an open suit jacket that is black in color. He has a white dress shirt underneath it. He wears a muted purple scarf around his neck. His hair is a dirty blond color and he's got icy blue eyes.
Personality: Tor is very serious, but calm. He tends to think things through before he acts on anything, allowing him to create good plans. He is able to communicate his thoughts in a clear manner, often leaving no room for argument. Despite all this, Tor is mostly driven by power lust.
Backstory: Tor lived a normal childhood like most. He left for his Pokemon journey when he was 10 like all the kids of his town. He managed to work his way up to the Elite Four, but could never beat the champion. He finally settled down, found a job. At the age of 19, he was suddenly plagued by nightmares. Several nights he spent awake, dodging the horrific visions that would appear during his sleep. He stopped sleeping for days on end, sleeping only when necessary, and even that was short lived. The lack of sleep was wrecking him, but the nightmares were destroying his sanity. After a year of this the nightmares had finally stopped. However it left him broken, and he struggled putting his life back together. The things he had seen in his nightmares changed his view on the world. People seek power, because the most powerful can do whatever they please. He wanted to stop that, so he made a plan to become the most powerful, he would stop the cycle. Team Rocket was introduced, and he became the champion of Kanto. Now he's the strongest as he desired, but he is now power hungry and has abandoned his old dream.

Backstory: Brook had finished her journey about a year before Kanto was lost. When she found out what had happened, she slipped into hiding but not before she lost the majority of her team, and the pokemon she had left were severly hurt. She had to start over from scratch, catching a Zorua to be her partner. She met up with the resistance and joined them about a month later.

Appearance: He's basically just the Team Rainbow Rocket male grunt, but in normal Team Rocket uniform. And smaller.
Personality: Elliot is more of a follower if anything, and he often adapts his attitude to match those around him. He feels confident when others are, but this works for fear as well. While he knows his Sandslash is fairly weak, he can't bring himself to replace her, or even add another pokemon to the team. He constantly feeds her poke beans and poffins. He doesn't like when people jab at his height, and constantly gets riled up if he feels like he's being looked down on. He is filled with respect for his higher ups, but isn't exactly the brightest.
Backstory: Elliot never went on a Pokemon Journey, opting instead to just go to school and maybe get a degree in law. That never happened though, as his life took a huge turn. Team Rocket had just taken over his home region, Johnto. It was shocking for sure, and he fought against it in the beginning. However, he slowly became captivated by Team Rocket, and how they functioned. They didn't fight like normal trainers, and even had a fun personality at times. He sought out a way to join them and was elated when he finally recieved the uniform. He now happily serves with Team Rocket, loyal until the end.

Personality: Calder is a very strict person. He prefers to have a nice neat schedule and have everything where it should be. HE dislikes it when things don't go as planned, getting so upset to the point where he can forgo any pokemon fight and just fight fist to fist.
Backstory: Calder was raised in Lavender Town, a constant town of misery with the air clouded with the weight of loss. It didn't affect him too much, but his parents sent him off to Vermillian city to see a different way of life. He first encountered Team Rocket there, and again, and again. He came to think that perhaps, he was destined to end up in Team Rocket, so he joined.

Personality: As an only child, Marluxia is soft spoken and very polite. He's generally very very interested in nature and considering that his last name is named after a tree, it's not that surprising. Music is also a nice plus for him, and it helps him calm down when he gets to worked up over setbacks. Having been raised in a traditional household, Marluxia strongly believes in responsibility and respect and is easily pissed of by people who don't do what they should
Backstory: He was supposed to go on his Pokemon journey to go and visit most of the shrines around the Jhoto region. His family was a long line of shrine caretakers and as the oldest and only child, he is expected to take up the family business, however with the rise of RR, things have changed and his family shrine is now the go to medical office for members of the resistance.
Other: He doesn't fight at all, and if he does he fights in a double battle as his pokemon team primarily focuses on healing and defense.

Personality: Shion is generally a calm and collected person, loyal to his beliefs and his friends. He is a gentle person that worries more about the well being of those around them than his own and is willing to sacrifice himself as he believes that he's got to protect everyone. He is, however, a very short-tempered and impulsive person, often taking some actions and saying things without thinking properly first. It is rather easy to get him annoyed, moody or angry, although he won’t remain like that for long. He seems very prone to bouts of lethargy and can be found napping in odd places
Backstory: He entered the Elite 4 at the fresh age of 12, maintaining his position for two glorious years. He specialized in electric Pokemon, and was affectionately known as the Electric Ram. He wasn't the strongest, being the second person a challenger would face, but he was known for his large heart and friendly attitude. Many mourned his disappearance, some even stating as if a large light had just suddenly gone out.
