Welcome to PokéHeroes' sixth year! We've been online for half a decade now - can you believe that?
That's definitely a reason to celebrate!
Five years ago, there was a terrible feature on PokéHeroes. A mini game so hated and rage inducing which never gave players any sense of pride or accomplishment. It was extremely painful. Simply. Painful. So painful that it was eventually removed.
Well, I'd say it's time to revive it!
The Retro Radar Game (originally: Shiny Radar Game) is a mini game where your aim is to hunt Pokémon of a certain species in order to find a Retro version of it. The longer your chain of Pokémon of the same species gets, the higher is your chance to find its Retro. Very similar to the PokéRadar that most of you should be familiar with.
However, instead of having to hatch these Pokémon from eggs in order to build up a chain, you have to find these Pokémon in the wild. During a mini game, Pokémon shadows will appear in the tall grass (see image above). Click on them to find out which Pokémon is hiding there!
Most of the time you will find regular (non-retro) Pokémon. You cannot catch them - but they will increase your chain (as long as they match the species recorded in your Retro Radar)! And eventually, as your chain increases, you will find a Retro Version the Pokémon species which can be caught with Poké Balls!
The Retro Radar Game is not a permanent feature this time - it's a time limited event!
There will be 6 Hunting Seasons (á 1 week). During each of them, three different Retro Pokémon species can be found.

Playing PokéHeroes on mobile can be a bit tricky sometimes. Most features require zooming in or simply behave weirdly (like the Palpad, for example), which can be quite an inconvenience. That's why PokéHeroes has been made ready for a strongly improved mobile support during the last few weeks.
It's not fully ready yet to be released - but I can assure you that it looks very great so far! I've been testing it out myself for quite some time now and it's really much much easier and convenient to browse PokéHeroes on a mobile phone.
This update will be made public very soon. We want to make sure that everything works properly and is fully polished before releasing these huge changes, so please be patient! c:
The desktop version of PokéHeroes will not be affected by these changes.
i can't wait for the mobile version to come in for ph, and all these new features are very exciting!
