“Oh- yeah. Well, as you can see, it’s oddly quiet here. With Pokemon, of course. See, the evil teams are trying to kill Pokemon so they can take over the world and build a new one. And we kinda need strong trainers to stop them.” Birch explained, a worried expression plastered on his face.

“Woah, woah, what?! That was a crap ton of information in a few short sentences.” Jordan said, taking a step forward.

“Yup. Did I stutter?” Birch said, sort of deadpanning.

“Why?!” Jordan asked.

“Did I stutter? They’re trying to take over and build a new world. Hoenn is the most connected to the land, so they’ve come here. And normal Pokemon interfere with their plans.”

"To take over the legendary Pokemon, I can only assume? They do control the land and sea, making them a great place to build a new world..." Maggie said, recalling her knowledge of the legendary Pokemon. "Why would they want to kill all normal Pokemon, then? They need 'normal' Pokemon to fight, don't they?" Maggie asked.

Birch nodded. “Correct, Maggie. They use hose normal Pokemon to fight, yes, but they’ll likely kill them afterward.”

“But aren’t those Pokemon, like, their friends?” Jordan asked.

“They don’t really know what a friend is, in terms of Pokemon.” Birch sighed. “Oh! My lab assistant knows basically everything about the situation. Do you want her to come with you?”

(Oke I just realized that if my character would kinda be OP if she was from Hoenn and knew a bunch about the place so imma casually just make her from Alola or something-)

"What are we doing? Who's this lab assistant? If we have to travel around here that'll be bad...almost nobody is from here!" Maggie recalled when she got on that boat to Lilycove from Alola just a month ago to explore Hoenn's myths, never to explore Hoenn itself.

Holly just stared, horrified after what Birch said and looked at Maku, who was also looking back at her.
she looked back at the professor and gulp, taking a shaky breathe before she spoke again.
''s-shouldn't we take into consideration that our own pokemon's lives are at risk?'' she questioned.

“Normal, non-legendary Pokemon. Any type.” Birch repeated, more detailed this time. “My lab assistant? She’s smart. And knows everything about the case, probably more with me. You probably need to go all over the region. She’s from here, she can act as a guide” he explained. Then he turned to Holly. “They won’t be. You’re strong enough to fight back.”

“What’d you say... what even is your name? I ddidnt follow along with the inteoductions.” Jordan asked Mira.

Maggie thought for a couple seconds before talking again. "So...how are we going to stop them? Tampering with the legendary Pokemon ourselves would be a bad idea I would suppose, and who knows where the team leaders are..." Maggie asked, petting her Altaria. She barely knew anything about this but tried her best to think of everything they could do.

A slightly meek girl stepped it from behind Birch. “I-uhm, if I may—?”

“Go ahead, Flora “ birch grinned.

“W-well we need to defeat Archie and Maxie! I think that’s their names...? B-but, if we’re careful enough, we could use our legendaries. You do have summon objects, right?” Flora smiled.

“Of course, Erin. And Lesley.” Birch have a hearty laugh.
