Jack rose slowly from the floor, almost like he was a life-less
puppet attached to strings, like a marionette. Sam had somehow
taken over his body! Jack was furious. He would find some way to
rid Sam from his mind. When Jack spoke, Lance and Bella heard the
voice of Sam. "I am trying to teach Jack not to be bad and evil.
But I need your help to rid his mind of the hateful voices in it.
Only then, can Jack be truly good and just." Sam looked pleadingly
at Lance and Bella. "I need your help, or I will be banished,
effectively killed. If that happens, Jack will become more and more
corrupted by the voices."
Jake glanced back her and tilted his head. He was rather curious
about it, and would love to learn how to do it. Trying is much
better than doing nothing, right?
Amy sat down on her haunches and looked up at Jake. "Try focusing
on just trying to talk to me, and try to tell me something by
thinking it in your head."
Jake sat down as well and listened to her. Alright... Concentrate
on trying to talk to her... He tried his very best, and then he
seemed to do it. "Amy?.." He was actually really proud of himself.
He could speak normally, but his voice would sound super scratchy
and raspy, along with it being broken English, so he refrained from
doing it, unless absolutely needed. He was embarrassed with how his
voice sounded in this form, honestly, but in his mind, it sounded
super normal.
"A-ah...." Bella mumbled, raising her eyebrows. She looked at
Lance, and leaned against him a bit. She gripped his hand, her hand
small. She ran a hand over the stitches on her cheek, blinking. She
felt insecure.
Amy jumped up and wagged her tail. "You did it!! It just takes
practice to make it sound better you may even be able to do it when
we are humans to if you work at it long enough." Amy got so excited
she nuzzled Jake and licked his face.
He chuckled softly and smiled a her. Once she licked his face, it
made his face warm up with a blush. "Practice... I'll need to
remember to do that, then." He stared at her with his glistening,
green eyes.
He glanced away for a moment and took a deep breath. He needed to
practice speaking out loud in this for too. So then he knew how to
do both better later on. Yes, good plan. He let out a small noise,
trying to speak and getting out an, "Amy... Good friend." His voice
was raspy and broken like this, but it could be adorable. Maybe. 'I
need to try practicing in both ways like this.' He told her. He was
doing well with his mind already, it's crazy.
"what do you mean?" Lance demanded, moving back a bit, and fighting
his grip on Bella slightly. "I can't help anyone without knowing
information." Wrapping his arm protectively around Bella, Lance
drew her in closer. "Besides, I don't think I can help with
personality related problems."
Bella blinked, and felt herself crumble a bit inside. Tears began
to stream down her cheeks again, and she just stared at the boy on
the floor. She bit her lip, and she bit it so hard it began to
bleed. She didn't take notice, though.
Amy's tail wagged and her ears perked up a small bit. "That's okay
I can't really talk in this form besides this way. My muzzle can't
move correctly to make pronunciations. Sammy's almost can."
"I don't try enough, but I will get the hang of it one day. But for
now, I'll just use this method." He nodded to her and his tail
started to swish around quite a bit. Wagging, as it is called.
"I'll be excited when that day comes." Amy said in a honest tone.
She quickly turned her head to a tree on the left of them. She
looked up at it quietly then said. "Oh! Look!" Above them was the
chipmunk they saw earlier today with it's family getting settled in
for the night.
His ears twitched and he saw the chipmunk. He tilted his head as he
watched them and was rather... Intrigued. It was adorable to see
them getting all settled for the night. I mean, they are chipmunks,
they are already cute. But not as cute as Amy, he would think to
himself. Except, his thoughts really weren't to himself anymore. He
did actually manage to say, in his mind. "Chipmunks are cute, but
Amy is cuter." What a total mind slip.
Jake blinked and immediately, he sort of just swore to himself
there, mumbling it out loud this time and sort of face-palming. Or
muzzle to paw. Whatever it was. He seemed to frown slightly and
look at the ground in some embarrassment. Smooth Jake. Smooth.
Amy looked around desperate to find anything to change the subject.
Before she even knew where her body had taken her. She had jumped
into the pond near by, and began to swim to calm her nerves.
Jake turned his head after hearing her seem to run off and jump
into the pond. He blinked and was... A bit confused, but of course,
he didnt question it. It's better that way anyhow.
